I'm currently operating AAL 16 on VATSIM. Feel free to say hello if you're on-line right now! I managed to get the following plan from my friend at Jeppesen. It was for a real flight today. I plugged all the fuel/load weights into my POSKY 767, and turned on FSMETEO... Simply amazing... So far my fuel flow has been within +/- 300lbs at each waypoint. At two waypoints my fuel was RIGHT ON... I'll pasted the flight-plan here. I'll provide my final fuel quantity after I land, for you all to compare to the fuel flow from this flight....http://cs-people.bu.edu/pgeddes/aal16.txtBelow are pics of a previous version that I printed out on my dot-matrix printer :-) I'll post the fu…

Gentlemen,I was hoping someone could explain the presumed limitations to which the aircraft is subject to below Maneuvering Speed. I have assumed that is means turn limitations at certain speeds and flap configurations. But I do not know technically what they are; say no bank degree beyond 25% at flaps 15 - that sort of thing. Also, in my flying experience (as a passenger) it would seem that aircraft at times make quite sharp banks on final approach (KLGA) at reduced speeds and/or flap configurations. So what are the actual Maneuvering limitations?Any insight is appreciated.WS

I am currently constructing a 767-400 simulator in my home using the PIC767 software. I have managed to disect the gauges and placed them at various positions with CFGedit using multi monitors and a matrox video card. My work is almost complete with one exception. PIC disables all panel lights upon startup. This is very annoying and causes some gauges to be dimmed, i.e. ADF and Standby Attitude indicator I snagged from the B747-400. Is there a away to enable panel lights. I have tried to edit aircraft.cfg file and the panel lights lumination color but it comes on at startup of the PIC panel then quickly disables. :-mad Please help! :-lol Harry MakonnenFlight Solutions

"In PIC VNAV does not infact use idle, but cheats a little, which may well mean that speed intervene will work (as a side note speed intervene DOES work on the 744, and our newest Pegasus FMC 767, although not on our other 2 pegasus 767's...)."Just been asked a question on another forum regarding speed intervention and wanted to confirm what the indications/aircraft behaviour would be on the 744 and newest Pegasus FMC in the following circumstance (see diagram):http://members.ozemail.com.au/~b744er/767/...ntervention.GIFA) A large speed intervene at point "A" in idle descent causing the aircraft to deviate from the planned vertical flight path (shown in purple): Would the…

Guys,I've been searching for the PIC/POSKY merge file in the file libraries but without any luck. Before you all shoot me down, please bear in mind that this here fella is very far from being a world champ when it comes to internetting. So if any of you kind people could point me in the right direction, it will be much appreciated.I have had some luck merging PIC and POSKY aircraft, but it seems to be that I can only get the POSKY aircraft with PW engines to respond appropriately.Apart from that, all's quite on the DHL front. First aircraft in the new "Deutsch Post" yellow livery will be delivered next week. As one of my collegues said "I'm colour blind, and even I can se…

How can I turn up the volume of the Outer Marker beacon ? I fly over it and the light illuminates on the panel but there is no audible alert. Also when I disconnect the Autothrottle shouldn't there be a caution chime because I can't hear it ?I am still having trouble getting the aircraft to track the centreline after landing on an Autoland approach. The aircraft spears off the RWY after touchdown still.Any help would be very much appreciatedBARGE

Greetings all,Just wondering if one of the many knowledgeable ones out there could tell me what the technical reason is for closing the isolation valves after engine start-up (other than the fact that it is on the checklist). My speculation is that it is to maintain two isolated systems, so that a malfunction in one will not affect the other. but if someone could verify this it would be much appreciated!Best regards :-wave.Chris BrunnerCYVR

Hi Guys,Opened a new thread to make things more readable.Like I said in the original thread, there seems to be a problem with the data analaysis toolpack addin. Service release 1 might help, but I can't promise that (see previous thread). It seems the problem is that the analysis toolpack does not automaticaly loads when you open the spreadsheet.A workaround for that is:1. first go to the tools menu -> addins2. verify that data analysis toolpack and analysis toolpack VBA are selected.3. if so, uncheck the data analysis toolpack, and press OK.4. now go there again and re-check data analysis toolpack, then pressing OK.5. now you need to update the spreadsheet - Office X…

Hi simmers and B767 experts out there!I have a question regarding the real FMC "direct to" function:When entering a waypoint to fly direct to (LSK 1L), will the real 767 turn towards this waypoint and fly direct to it or does the FMC calculate the track between the aircraft's present position (when entering the "direct to") and the new waypoint and intercept this track?Example: I am overhead present position A and enter "direct to B", which needs a right turn by 60 degrees. Does the real plane turn right towards B or does it turn right to intercept the calculated track between A and B?I noticed that PIC767 intercepts the track between A and B, so especially during large t…

Hi,I am presently trying to enter some SIDs and STARs and I am facing some troubles: in a missed approached procedure, it's written that we must climb to 2000 ft following runway track (magnetic track 264), and when passing 800 ft, we must turn right magnetic track 034 to intercept radial 242 of a VOR (inbound track 062).How may I enter that in the FMC?Thank you very much for your help.

Some other things has been tweaked as well, for example bigger EICAS screens.I expect to have it up at FlightSim.no by tomorrow. Just want to check for bugs first.../Patric

Hey fellow PIC users I am having an awful time with the PIC/POSKY 767 ballooning on every landing regardless of approach speed. I have even tried cutting the throttle at 100 ft. and as soon as I start to flare (around 20 ft) the #$%@ plane just takes off!! has anyone else encountered this problem and can u real life pilots (hello BBBall!!) give me some tips to cure this very annoying problem. the only thing that i can think of to fix this problem is too fiddle around with the airfile-any suggestions??

Hello again, I was planning a flight in my FMC from Miami Intl to South America (specifically Cali Columbia). I wanted to know if there are any restrictions for American airliners flying through Cuba airspace? Can my flight plan pass through Cuban Airspace or do you have to fly around it via another airway? Thank You. :-)

It's here at last. I've just released UKRoute Version 1.0. This is an electronic version of the Standard Route Document for flying IFR in the UK. It is available for download from www.hawarden.org.uk/ .Just look in the download section. Be sure to download its accompanying file which is the data for this airac cycle . . yes it will be updated every airac with "Real World Nav Data". An absolute must if your'e going to fly online. I'm hoping this will be adopted by VATSIM-UK as the definitive flight planner for flying IFR in the UK.ThanksGrahamBTW its freeware ;-)
