I recently downloaded Phil Geddes' Vfrlanding view and I'm very satisfied with it. However, I don't know how to activate the 'pop-up' screen that displays the 'VSI' gauge...I installed his version with the RA gauge on the vfrlanding view panel.Any help would be appreciated in locating the proper key sequence that produces the 'pop-up' VSI gauge. I use both frequently in the landing phase.Regards,

Hi guys.....I'm very new to PIC 767, and as I fly a 757 in real life I have been very impressed with the quality and accuracy of this add on.I do have two questions I can't answer however, having searched this forum, and I apologise in advance if this has been hashed out in the past.....1. I fly in Europe, where we use Kilos instead of pounds. Is there a way to change the weight values from pounds to kilos?2. Where can I find/download somw FMC information for SID/STARS in and around Europe? Has anybody produced some "company routes" for instance Manchester to Malaga etc that can be accessed directly? Many thanks for anybodys help.....RegardsMondriver

Thanks to all those who have all answered my silly questions over the past couple of months. The advice & solutions in this forum have helped me enjoy this product so much more. I hope you all have a great holiday season. Now for the next silly question. A while ago I noted a thread about setting the frequency of failures & the discussion was about setting a given number of failures per MONTH.I asked the question about how to set a number of failures per month because no matter how hard I looked, I couldn't find it. All I can find is how to set a given number of failures per HOUR (under B767-300 Panel > Failures). Is there a very patient PIC flightsimmer out ther…

Anyone else come across this anomaly whereby you enter ZFW of 245 into the corresponding LSK and the FMC comes back with an error message that the data entered is not correct?I've tried entering 245, 245.0 but to no avail. All other data fields entered are OK and accepted?Appreciate any help!Best Wishes,767

I just purchased the new ActiveSky and it replaced my FSUIPC with the new version, I was using 2.82 before with the yaw dampers on and it worked great with V1 cuts , etc with the adjustment I made to the ruder settings as advertised on this forum. The new FSUIPV has done something to make all this get out of wack. I saved a copy of the old FSUIPC, so I can go back to it..but just wondering if anyone has found a work around on the new version? If not I will send it to the old recycle bin and get my nice stable 767 back!

Lee, I have found several versions of your merge on my PC, and I have a question....Using PICPOSKY.zip version 4....When I use this one, the flexing wings (posky v3) bend up gradually as the airspeed increases on the ground - very realistic! :) And they bend down to the zero lift postion gradually as the airspeed decreases again on roll out. Problem is that the gear oleos in this version seem to be rock hard when I land!!!Using PIC-POSKY-v3-762 the gear is a lot 'friendlier' but the wings only flex suddenly when the aircraft rotates during take off, and when I land they bounce down excessively hard....not great looking! What's the answere here? What is in your file that af…

I tried to run 767 PIC on Windows Xp.It worked, but only one thing troubled me: the fonts on the EICAS screen in Windows XP look very different than they use to be.Look at the attachment to see the difference, they look much more bold. It's only the fonts from the EICAS screen. The fonts of the messages ont the flight mode annunciator for example look the same.Does anyone else have this problem? What can be done about it?Question 2: Is it really possible to run 767 PIC properly on Win XP?Christiaan Gorter

Hello to all, I was wondering what a normal checkride for a 757/767 pilot looks like. Are they asking to perform all types of approaches, engine failure, stalls, and how often are they done, 6 months or 1 year? Also how strict are the checkrides, do you have to land right on the centerline to pass? Can you make a mistake on the checkride like bouncing on landing or exceeding 1 dot on the ILS without failing? And if you fail do you loose your ATP or do they just keep you in the simulator for more training? Thank You.:-wave

Hi all, I have been having a problem with the POSKY 767 and the PIC panel. I have been trying to close the APU vent on the 767 by using Ctrl+shift+C and it will close but as soon as I let go of those keys it pops back up. I tried closing it without the PIC panel and just the POSKY plane and it stayed closed. I am using the POSKY/PIC merge files and I don't know if there is anything missing in the cfg or something else. I really don't like flying with it popped up. Can anyone help me?Thanks,Mike

Hi everybody,I've posted a message on this some time ago but never had any echoes of it.When flying 767PIC, in flight, when I retard the throttles to idle, the left engine won't go to idle. What happens is that as I retard the throttles, approaching the 35% N1, suddenly the left engine spools up to 60% ! Then I continue to retard the throttles to idle, but the left engine stays at 60% while the right engine sets in idle. Imagine the problems I have on landing ! The aircraft takes half of the runway to actually land ! Once on the ground, there I can go ti idle with both engines....However, using the autopilot, on an autoland, the engines go to idle with no problem !Does an…

I think this has been addressed before but since the addition of ActiveSky to my system I thought I would bring it up again. I've been flying with all turbulence turned off for some time now because with it on, the PIC autopilot doesn't perform correctly. Pitch controll seems to be frozen while encountering turbulence and the autothrottles don't adjust power. I blew right through the speed limit on climbout the other night from LAX while being tossed around in the clouds. I've already reduced the turbulence setting as recommended but it doesn't seem to help much. What does everyone else do regarding the turbulence situation? Does FLCH work better than VNAV in this situati…
