Hello all,I'm actually training to fly the 767 for my airline, and this sim is a great training aid I can tell you. My question though is this - can I modify myself or use third party software - to alter various aspects of the panel to match my airline's configuration? I'd like to, for example, remove the IAS gauge, change the HSI HDG from TRK to HDG in Map Mode.I have long been a proponent of using PC sims to enhance the training experience of line pilots, and since my last aircraft the 747-400, I have frequently used my "sim at home" to practice the drills and callouts needed, with very gratifying results. Many thanks in advance, PBR.

hey Guy's! I was watching a Continental 767-400 land At HNL Intl, and i saw that the 767-400's have a Nav And Strobe light on the Tail cone!, Now i have added these 2 light's to the POSKY 767-400! They work great but i am looking for someone to make the Strobe light effect's like the ones that came with LEe's Merge files i think?? it make all the strobes Blink at the same time! So if anyone know how to make the extra strobe i put on the tail cone blink with the 2 wing strobe's a the same time, i would greatly apprecite your Help!! As this will make it exactly like the real plane light's are! Thank's MIKE-:)

The fabled creation of a PIC Forum FAQ has been bandied about, I know I signed up for something, and I think Ian Elchitz was involved. What does this spiffing group think? The FAQ may be a way to really put an end to the incessant calls for RTFM and not sop persistant calls of YawDamperititis!Ian, was it you who was going to coordinate the FAQ?Or was it Bevington?Or Hall?Or Barry?Or Bower?Or WorkingStiff?Certainly not me, cause I still use 800 for my cost index, and Dean keeps calling me a **.So, a PIC FAQ?DSCVA3339

Inspired by Captain BBall's article on Frugals, I decided to try FLCH below 10,000 ft. as oposed to my usual v/s method. Anyway it works well, however, I find that the v/s when changing altitude (particularly when decending) is severe...I feel like I am pointed straight down. How do you control this ? and what is the relationship with speed. During my decent from 5000 to 3000 I was slowing down to 170 knts from 190 knts and the v/s was -2500. thanks for the help.Mark.

It seems the manuals for PIC don't really go into what the cost index is. Two questions:1) What is cost index in real life?2) Does this parameter effect anything in FS and/or PIC?Thanks

Well folks I gotta say if yer now accustomes to PIC navigation with an FMC and INS, you should try the VMAX 747-200 classic add-on. I gotta take a break while writing this e-mail and go and hand program some more lat/lon waypoints in the 747-200 INS before it runs out....only takes max 9. On a route having more than 9, ya gotta go back and had program over the old waypoints you just flew....lots of fun.I am curious to know if there is a fuel planner for the 767...an accurate one that is?

I used the pic767 with the FS2000 without any problem. Now I have the FS2002 son I installed the aircraft in it with the pacth for the 2002. Up to now I don't have any problem. But when I run the fs2002 it appears 3 signs.1) ARIAL NARROW B FONT LOADING ERROR (ACEPT)2) GLASS GAUGE FON LOADIN ERROR (ACEPT)3) QUARTZ FONT LOADING ERROR (ACEPT)After this I finally get into the sim. I chose the 767. I used joystick with rudder. The elevator go complety up and the rudder complety to the left or to the right. I couln't move then. I only have the problen with the 767.Someone can give me and idea of witch may be the problem.Thanks.

Is there anyway to take the altitude callouts from PIC and also put them to use on a different plane (Not PIC). I have always wanted some of my other panels to have the callouts, but I could never figure out how to do it. Thanks for your help in advance!Putput28 :-wave

Hi all.I think that add two new systems to the overhead panel would be a realism improvement: the fuel dupm system and the presurization system. Can some of you try to makes these systems?.Jose M. BarruezoSpain Operations Manager[p][a href=http://www.socair.org] [/p]

I've studyed the panel operation manual over and over until I can power up the aircraft for the first time (woohoo). I use the stock flight called aircraft preparation for practice where it put you in the cold and black cockpit. What I wonder is once the cockpit has loaded and althought every equipment is in the unpower state, I can hear a humming noise of something. What is it then? I'm sure there is no other aircraft near me and the humming must come from the panel. I expect the panel in this state should be complete silent.

Hey everyone,When I program in my route, I occasionally find a navaid/waypoin, etc, that is not in the database. When I come across these, i'd like to enter the information manually by going into the proper files. Data on Jepp charts isn't at accurate as i'd like (as far as coordinates are concerned). Anyone know of a good website that lists navaid/waypoint coords in detail?

I have installed the PIC Panel in Opensky's 767 everything worked great except, when setting up a flight and then hitting "Fly Now" everything shows up, but the panel and computer are froze up, nothing works. Now this happens, maybe 60% of the time the rest it seems to work OK. Has anyone else had this happen and know of a fix. Thanksjim in NM

How do you get a flap or gear HYDRAULICAL failure (so not getting stuck or tire blow-out)? So you have to lt the flaps down by the electrical driven flap engine. I thought about shutting down the hydraulical systems where the flaps and gear are on. But does anyone know on wich hydraulical system they are (L,C,R)?

Hello all, :)Maby this is a question for real pilots I think?Wich controls (yoke & rudders) to use in what stages of flight? I mean in these stages:-taxie-take-off-in flight-in landing-after or with the touch-down...and what about the autocoordination/yaw damper, when to enable or disable? All the best, gearbox

I have been experimenting with various loads, but always seem to find I am nose up 2-3 degrees when on final appproach. Is this normal for the 767? At what distance from touchdown should I ideally be nose up?I notice in the 'Situations' there is a saved approach and when you run it, you are slightly nose down on finals almost to the runway, this never happens to me when I set up an approach.I know it depends on weight/fuel etc, but can someone please please give me a 'general' guide to a good approach configuration (Flaps, speeds, trim, weight etc ) that I can practice with? Many thanks for any advice!Graham
