Help. Something has gone dreadfully wrong. I am flying the POSKY Merged PIC767 on a practice flight using just the MCP. I setup for an ILS approach and capture the localiser/glideslope. After being on the glideslope for a short while I select APP and all three A/P's. PIC767 immediately turns the aircraft in the opposite direction and then commences an approach to some mythical airfield almost 180 degrees from the one I want. It fly's a glideslope that does not exist and indicates FLARE etc as though it were actually on an approach. On my last attenpt, I just left it alone and it happily landed in some paddock - including the flare. So what could have gone wrong. Appart fro…

OK, I know this is a longshot, but here's the problem (maybe there's a fix)...After installing PIC, and after loading FS2K2 w/FSNAV4 with the PIC aircraft selected, my mouse curser switches to a multicolored square instead of the pointer. Laugh if you like, but it's dificult to select any options with a 1/2" cube! I am using a MS Wireless Intelimouse Explorer. After much frustration, I deleted PIC and everything went back to normal. I am using the latest mouse drivers for Win 98SE. I had deleted the scenery files that PIC installed, still have a mouse curser problem. Only thing I can think of is buy a new mouse, but I like the ability to program the buttons on this mouse. …

A friend of mine has a new computer, has installed FS along with RC3 and some other add-ons, and went to install PIC (first from the CD, then to update to the FS2002 patch). Here's a part of his e-mail, with his permission:"I installed PIC 767 right from the cd. I then installed the patch from the Wilco web page. When I started FS2002, I got several messages saying that FS2002 was recognizing some third party software that was installed and it may not be compatible. It gave two choices--yes and no. It said to click no if you want to disable the third party software(I think the messages said it was some kind of .dll files. It said click yes to continue. I clicked yes to co…

Hi guys.First, I am sorry I could not join the "gang" for this PIC ON VATSIM event which really seemed to have been fun for all those participated. However, I flew on line for the first time from KPDX to KSFO where I arrived at the end of the event. I was a little bit stressed with the voice communication so rather soon I switched to text comminication with no pb on my side. Hopefully, I was not too much of a burden for the OAK_V_Center controller....No question, I will be part of the next event, at least at this time...Second, does anybody know to reset the Master Aural Warning by any keyboard command?Bien amicalementMichelKSEA / AFR011

I was enviously watching you guys scroll across my whazzup screen tonight, and I realized I knew most of your names just by looking at your callsigns. I thought to myself what a strange relationship...so one-sided. So I thought I'd let ya'll know a little about myself. Hmm...where to begin...My name is Jeff Hepburn, and I'm a 24 year old senior at the University of Georgia. I graduate in May with a degree in Management Information Systems. I was married last August to the most wonderful woman in the world...well :) she doesn't really like flightsim all that much, but she's getting used to it. I have frequented this forum for the past 1.5 years, but I don't post very …

Just thought I'd make a quick post to say thank you and post a few screen shots.Thank-you to Mike Bevington, and all those who helped organize this great event. This is my second PIC ON VATSIM event and I have thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Also, a big thank you to all the ATC's who provided outstanding service for the flights. This was my first time flying under oceanic procedures and it was learning experience as well as a great deal of fun.Due to poor fuel planning on my part I had to make a stop over at PHNL on the YSSY to KSFO flight. Thanks to Ian for being up so early to provide ATC as Honolulu Centre. It made a nice detour. Here are a few screen shots of a nic…

Gentlemen of the board: I am finding that before takeoff, my F/D's pitch bar stays on zero pitch or sometimes disapears off the ADI entirely! Then, on takeoff, the airspeed indicator (speed tape version) begins to jiggle and fluctuate widely. What gives? Be grateful for any help and also some idea as to which settings for FS2002 Pro might give the smoothest performance on my relatively de-rated computer running at 500 MHz with a 64meg card. Many thanks, PBR.

Hi all,Recently I've experienced 2 strange events with PIC. The first one was, for the first time ever, not being able to get the right engine to fire up. I just had to close the computer down and start everything up again...then no probs. Today the FMC keeps giving me 'Invalid...' when I try to input 245 for ZFW. Never seen that before either, so am about to re-boot again.I've not made any changes to my computer recently. It's ME and everything (touch wood) works fine. The only real flightsim program I've added is WxRE V1.15. Can't see that causing a prob.Any ideas?Gavin

Gentlemen,Lately I've been trying to catch up flying the PIC767 again after a long tour with the DF737. One thing I've noticed though is that the FD pitch in take off configuration but before 80 knots indicates a climb of about 13-18 degrees. In the B737 the FD pitch before 80 knots points down. Is this the correct behaviour of the 767?Another thing I would like to ask is if the A/T will change to V2+xx knots after takeoff? As it sets V2 in pre-flight configuration. I know it does change on the 737. (The real one, not DF ;-)) What is the behaviour on the real 767?Thanks

Took part in the VATSIM PIC event for the first time today.Pleased to report that I made it form PHNL to KSFO successfully.ActiveSKY simulated Winds aloft for the oceanic sector were the opposite from the actual, and those on the flightplan.Meant a speed reduction from M0.82 to M0.79 to conserve fuel. Also kept suffering speed bleed offs due the ever changing winds, eventually switched the simulated winds off.Hopefully V1.2 of ActiveSky with world wide winds aloft will go into beta testing soon.Arrived in KSFO with 8600Lbs fuel remaining, after burning off 52500Lbs. Flight time was approx 5 hours.Greased the landing, my home built rudder pedals helped a good deal, and hand…

Is there somethingn out ther that makes enroute alternates eays to choose? I'm really looking for an easy to use tool to show a tactical chart that shows range rings to chosen alternates. Mostly NATOPS for me- at least in a 767, I use the 777 over the pacific :)Btw, FSBuild 2 is really coming along nicely It has everything that I want except the tactical chart stuff. You can even view the DP/STARS in the planner along with planning current NAT tracksCompletely off topic, Doesn't Pegasus support TCAS on the ND as opposed to a separte display (VSI or stand alone)TIA,Tim

Today I received the Britannia 767/757 DVD, and based on this I am making a new sound package from scratch for 767PIC! Features:- Realistic Wind Sounds- Electronics sounds (heard with packs off, and sometimes noticable with packs on).- Continous Packs sounds, even with engine off.- Realistic engine sounds (e.g, nice whine during applying full thrust, no growl...as there isn't one in the real thing!)I won't need any beta testers but I just though't I'd let you all know what your getting for your birthday! lol. I'll try my hardest to get it done fast, but it will be worth the wait! I promise!Cheers[br][/img]

  25. Hi,I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but I'm getting my own pedals tonight, and I'm STILL not sure whether to use 24 or 4 for rudder efectiveness with YD ON or OFF. What would be the ideal settings for the rudders, so that V1 cuts are possible to control and the taxiing would be smooth as well ? Is there a configuration that enables them both ?Thanks for the patience everybody :).regardsTero
