The Level D 767 | Wilco PIC 767 Forum

Do you own the Level D 767 add-on for FS9 or FSX? Do you own the Wilco published 767PIC add-on? This is an UNOFFICIAL forum for both. Please do not expect the publishers to assist you here. This forum is established for owners to share hints and help and for non-owners to ask questions of the owners on performance, techniques and guidance.

  1. Hi,I'm going to try a full motion 757 simulator in a couple of weeks, and I intend to write a full article about it compared to 767PIC. I'm not sure if I'll write it in Finnish or in English yet, because the article will appear on our Finnish Virtual aviators' member (electrical)magazine...I'll keep you posted, and wish me luck! :)Tero

This is aimed at those of us who find the wind noise with the gear down to be excessively loud.Change this section of the Sound Cfg file:[wind_sound]filename=wp767rminimum_volume=600maximum_volume=6000minimum_rate=0.10maximum_rate=1.00minimum_speed=10.0maximum_speed=300.0In the default the maximum volume is set to 9500. I have changed it to 6000 and noticed less wind noise with the gear down. I would like some others to test this out, and let me know if they too notice less wind noise with the gear down. Some further tweaking of the maximum volume setting may be required to achieve the optimum setting. This appears to work. However we need more people to test it out. Hope…

Can somebody tell me how much the trim changes in the real aircraft when pressing the pitch switch on the control wheel? When I trim the PIC767 I have to hit num7 or num1 often to get a noticiable change. I suppose the increments are to small. Is there any way to modify them?

    1. what's the use of the yaw dumper on an aircraft. and is there a time when it's not supposed to be turned on, like i usally have turned off during taxi, and take off and also approach, and landing because it allows me to steer the nose wheel, and also i can use ruuder control during a crosswind landing.2. About the TCAS for the 767PIC. first of all it's a great invention it made flying the 767PIC a lot informative and easy. what's the range on the TCAS itself is it 20-40 or more and can be adjusted.3. This is no a question but everybody is welcome to give me some feedbacks on it. i own the DF737, PSSA320, PSS777,747, DF Archer CS727 but most of those aircraft i don't re…

Hi all. Im not a pro in fs sound design so i have a couple of questions. I use pic with all of my 767s and also my dc-10s since its very close to the dc10s flight guidance system. My first question deals with the engine sounds. The plane i fly in real life uses the cf6-50c2 engine which has variants that are used by 767s and other jets. First lets look at starting. Engine starting in fs20002 is too quick and unrealistic. I wonder is there a way to slow down the speed of engine starting?. Now hopefully you could help me configure my sounds to work in the way ill describe. This is the real life start sequence im familiar with in the dc-10. First we push in the starter butto…

Judging from the various reports on the web, it seems as if there will be little improvement in frame rates in FS2K2 between the P4 533 and 800 FSB, apparently because FS2K2 doesn't support Hyper threading technology. As ever, I am totally confused !I am thinking of upgrading so I can run PIC B767, Simflyers Scenery such as KLAS or KDFW and My traffic (at 100%), with a bit of weather thrown in for realism! Am I asking too much, because I can't do it on my AMD 2100xp c/w Geforce 4 Ti 4600 at more than 4 FPS! Take away My traffic and KDFW (Simflyers)the FPS jumps back up to 30 FPS! Can anyone throw any ight on this, as I would actually like to fly rather than hop and stutter…

I'mlooking fora more complete set of approaches than navdata.at. unfortunately they do not have approaches for DeGaulle (or charts either) so PIC simply routes to the runway, when I really need the FAF. Making it up on the fly is not easy since there are so many intersections in that area- it's an unreadable screen at more thatn 10 miles range.Tim

I have a strange problem looking for a solution. At cruise with the PIC/Poskyv3 under the FMC and in some other flight conditions, when I use FsNav to find navigation information, runways, STARS, etc. and then click (left mouse) anywhere on the PIC window, the RPM drops from 88%N1 to about 76%, the speed from Mach 0.8 to 0.76 in about 5 sec and immediately increase again to their original values in about one minute. There is a corresponding change in sound, decrease and increase again with the speed change as expected. There is also a corresponding change in scenery, a cloud layer draws down from the aircraft, the sky turns blue and eventually it returns to normal. This …

Guys,The Race Across the Pond was undoubtedly a successful event, for everyone apart from me :( If only my PC hadn't froze. I was reckoning for about 7hrs 30 using track C at Mach 0.82.The planned time for a 767 at M0.80 EGLL-CYYZ yesterday according to the trip.com was 7hrs 57m.This makes PIC, FS and the weather packages we were using extremely accurate.Found this post on the Vatsim UK website that I thought you might like to see: Re:PIC Race across the pond

  21. do you think that it would be possible to creat an aircraft loader for the 767PIC and somehow direct it to the aircraft itself. an aircraft loader like the ones that comes with the DF737. PSS320and the late VMAX747-200 if you guys think it will be possible then i will look into it and see what i can come up with. Best Regards Adib Afraj

I disconnected from it when Center ATC decides to reduce my speed and spin me on the decent profile. All my numbers were fine and I was making great time for WASIE @10000... What ever!!!! Toronto will never be the way it was, regardless of there feable attempts. Ok enuf of that!!!___________________If you flew at M0.84 like many of you did, you are disqualified.
