Please, don't jump all over me about searching the forum. I tried but with no luck. I am having two nagging problems that I would love solutions for: 1. Thrust goes to idle and then back to its original setting after opening and closing one of the pop-up panels, using the auto pilot. Not a total pain in the butt because intertia tends to keep the plane near altitude and speed, but annoying none-the-less. Edit - never mind on issue 1, I saw the thread below. Am I the only one who doesn't like the expanded thread display in the forum. I find it very hard to read topics. 2. Uneven fuel consumption. Over several hours, one engine drinks more than the other. Is this nor…

I know this is the PIC forum...but...Got moved in to the new place last night.Priority 1 = PIC767 = hooking up PC...PC started up rather roughly in SAFE mode detecting new hardware and installing drivers for each??? ...very scary... then it restarted itself in 'normal' mode and all appeared normal....FS2k2 and PIC fired up no problem...but no controller...it does not 'see' the stick being plugged in. The stick is plugged in, has power and the resistence works, green light on...Is there any way to 'see' if the port is receiving a signal from the stick...maybe its a sound card/game port set up issue? When I started Roger Wilco, it told me I had no sound card...I changed …

will you guys say that the reverse thrust sound within the 767PIC accurate based on the real aircraft or does it need some tweaking i have been very lucky with riding the 767/757 aircrafts and i can tell that it may need some tweaking.Just An Opinion. Best Regards Adib Afraj

Is there a way to assign the cockpit to ground communication commands to either my joystick (button)or a keyboard (key)? Going to the menu stops the program and tends to take away from the simulation.Terry

Hi, whenever I use Anti Aliasing, I get the following problem with the panel (see image). It only happens in 16 bit colour mode, but never in 32 bit mode. However, running in 32bit eats about 5 FPS!Any ideas?Cheers[br][/img]http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/6631.jpg

Though I was running 767 on FS2k then FS2k2 ok on WinME since it's release, I just installed 767 under XP and I now find that none of the guages will load. I get the message "cannot run 3rd party guages....."Effectively, now, under XP I cannot use 767 PICPlease Please Please help if you can. I'm running all the other usual commercial stuff 737, A320 and so on with no trouble. It's just 767PIC that I cannot get going

Hi all, regarding climb profiles I have one question.I have noticed that when climbing in VNAV or FL-CHG mode passing FL280-290, the plane starts to pitch up and down continuosly following the FD bars to mantain the desired VNAV profile or the speed if in FL-CHG. All this starts at as I said around FL290. I set the ZFW correctly. Load fuel using a fuel calculator and always cruise at my OPT cruise altitude. For the climb I usually use mach0.80. Does anyone know why it does this? It's annoying seeing the V/S varying continuosly from 1000 to 1500-2000 FPM and back down!!At that point I manually select V/S and keep climbing at about 1000-1200 FPM.Any help or advice would be g…

Hey all!I think, but am not sure, I remember someone mentioning a fix for this little problem. My rudder sticks while taxiing. ONLY during taxi, and it will not unlock, ever, until I slew up & get airborn, then it goes back to neutral. This has been a problem for a very long time, and, I cannot correct it on my own.If you know of a fix, please! let me know!Thank you in advance!

Hi Gang,I'm thinking about buying 767PIC, but was a little concerned about the compatibility with FS 2004. I emailed Wilco, and Christophe Modave was thoughtful enough to promptly reply. Here is what he said: "Unfortunately, 767PIC should be not compatible with FS2004. Except if the core of FS2004 accept all programming instruction developed for FS2000".Does anyone know yet if 2004 will accept 2000 code?Even if it doesn't, I'll probably buy this great add-on anyway and leave 2k2 on my machine.Jim

Hello, why does the oil temperature lower, if you increase the thrust? Shouldn't it be vice-versa?RegardsDietmar

I was flying in the cross the Pacific yesterday on Vatsim. I had a problem with airspeed. I had autopilot set to 36000 feet, climb rate was set a 2000fpm, I had speed set to .70 mach, and clb set for power. I had fuel at about 50% in each tank. I have discovered that fuel weight greatly affects the overall ability to handle the climb out? Anyway, during climb my airspeed slowed to 160 knots and I eventually stalled and crashed. I tried to reduce the climb rate to 500 fpm, but it was too late. I was wondering if anyone might give me an insite to what I did wrong. Gear was up, flaps were retracted, speed brakes were off.ThanksMark TCyber Airlines

Hi All, I've been away from the PIC for a while and thought it just what I needed to get some motivation going again for FS!!Could anyone be so kind as to advise or make a list of all the things one needs to do from the original installation to the up-to-date version? In other words, which updates are needed, where to get them and all pertinent information to get up to speed on PIC again.Believe it or not, my fs has not crashed since getting Win XP so I still have somewhat of an installation of PIC. Although I am missing default texture files and have no idea how to retrieve from the disk so a complete reinstall and I believe at least one FS2k2 patch and numerous navdat…

Greetings All,As school is starting to wind down, I took my first spin in Iz's 757/PIC merge this afternoon... Boy, am I impressed! She really handles like a dream... I can't wait to use the FMC with her! I was wondering about one thing. I noticed that the engines are MUCH more responsive than on the 763, for example... It seemed like there was hardly any delay between the movement of the throttle and the completion of the engine spooling. Is this true in real life? Are the powerplants on the -57 simply more responsive??? I appreciate any comments! My hat off to Iz... this is a milestone in PIC endeavors!Regards,Phil Geddes

Hi,When saving a flight, I no longer get a .FMC file, only the .FLT and .WX files. I used to get all three.Another problem: when selecting my default flight, parked at the gate at EHAM, engines off, I get an a/c with engines running.... I tried to load my panel with one of Wilco's standard flights with engines off, but after saving and selecting I still get the same problem.Any ideas??Regards,NicoEHAMhttp://www.nicokaan.nl/

Hi all,I recall seeing a post some while back about a program that would hold all the sid/star info in a different folder and allow PIC to just load the required ones into the FMC. Can anyone direct me to it?Thanks very much in advancePaul Houghton

Hey guys,I'm having some problems with PIC/POSky with regards to the IRS and IRU systems. When I load up my flight and start the Cockpit Prepartion file, the cockpit is cold and all IRS are in the off position, except for the third one. It starts in the ALIGN position. When I have all systems powered up, and align the IRS, it all goes ok. But, after a few minutes the number three IRS automatically switches itself to the ATT position and this results in some problems, including the NO LAND 3 annunciation. When I flick it back to the ALIGN position the ALIGN annunciation starts flashing and then it flicks back to ATT.I have IRU drift and all that off in the preferences menu.…
