I have spent a good part of my Sunday looking in past posts to the answerer to this question and if there is one just direct me to it. Absent that, any thoughts on this issue. I have been putting together my own plans but I times I do need a flight planner program. Can anyone provide me with the positives or negatives of both programs. Many thanks,WS KEWR

I read a few older threads on creating and loading flight plans from various sources (FS Nav, FSBUILD, FS2002, etc) and noticed some comments about loading files into both the pilots or myflts folder and also into the FMCWPnavdata folder. For full routes, shouldn't only .rte files be put there (not talking about approaches, SIDS or STARS)? I don't understand the distinction between the files, or how you convert one to the other or if you even need to. I know you need .pln files for FS2K2 default ATC, but I don't think the 767 FMC would be able to use that format.Comments will be very much appreciated!... Dave

Two times I've LOST all the GPWS sounds in PIC... The fix I've used has worked two times now, so It has to be a fix and not just coincidence. What I did was CHANGE the IRQ for my sound card from 5 to 7, reboot, start flight simulator, exit flight simulator, restart again my machine, change IRQ back to 5 start flight simulator, test, voula.. fixed. Both times (when I changed the IRQ) Flight Simulator took longer to load (as if it was initializing something) The way I changed IRQ's was using my BIOS option to assign IRQ's manually.Anybody experiencing this problem should give it a try.

I just got PIC yesterday and was interested in getting the panel linked with a POSKY plane. I used the merge file available and got it merged succesfully. When I open the aircraft, it freezes my system. Does anyone know what would cause this? I did go through about 1 1/2 months of posts but didn't find anything on this subject. Thanks.

Does anyone use a yoke and/or pedals? I saw the CH flightsim yoke at radioshack the other day, it looked a little cheap to me? It had three throttles that were ackwardly placed on the top?Just wondering if anyone using that or any other yoke and how they like it..ThanksZanther

I am having a problem on approach. I am perfectly aligned on the ILS in my POSKY 767-300ER (Honolulu PHNL as an example Rw8L) at a speed of 160kt at 2500ft and 20nm out when I engage the LOC. I get turned away at a 45 degree angle. When a realign at a closer distance, the same thing happens. I am definitely using the correct ILS frequency. This has happened intermitently at other airports. Sometimes the ILS will accept me and at other times not and I usually have to land manually.I also usually use FSMeteo with the disable surface wind option selected.Does anyone know if this is a problem with PIC?

I need some help gentlemen. It seems that every now and then, when I fly an oceanic route on VATSIM, I get a FSS or "Radio" controller on line who insists on throwing me curve balls. You see, I am just not very well versed in oceanic procedures. I get by somehow and have picked up on how to relay position reports but I still am not sure if I am doing that correctly. Mark McGrath's "etopsv2.zip", http://ftp.avsim.com/library/sendfile.php?DownloadID=9720 is an excellent resource for ETOPS procedures. But what I am looking for is a tutorial or protocol for radio communications procedures. "ATC says this, you say that." On my last flight over the Pacific, OAK_FSS wanted…

Hi all,I have a minor problem when using PIC panel in FS2002. It is that those EICAS messages on the upper EICAS are somewhat unreadable or blurry. It doesn't bother me immensely as I can clarify them, althoughwith a little difficulty.I have updated my video card drivers with the newest version, but it didn't make any difference at all. I also tried different resolutions. It's not a big problem, I can very well use this great panel with the problem prevailing, but if someone out there has a solution to how I can get rid of it, please let me know.Best regards TYJ.

Hi all,I am having the following problem with PIC since using it with FS2K2: On taking off I switch on the FD and autothrottle, set say 5000 in the altitude window and V2 +15 in the speed window. Upon rotation the FD pitches up to 30 degrees, as the aircraft attitude reaches 18-20 degrees the FD remains at 30 or so degrees until the nose almost reaches it. It then begins to fluctuate between about 5 and 25 degrees without settling. If I chase the FD I rapidly achieve pilot induced oscillations. If I don't chase it I am unable to achieve the attitude required as per the settings on the MCP. Has anybody else experienced this, or is this a sad example of my flying abili…

Hi everybody,I just encountered a funny problem I never had before.Flying from NFFN to NSTU, after about 30 minutes I had an instrument failure of PFD, HSI, VOR and VSI. FMC was ok, no electrical or other failures. Repair malfunctions did not work. It told me everything was alright.I started up FS 2002 with the default 737 - just in case...I also switched the dead battery option in FSUIPC 2.85 to zero - I have no idea what happened. It was the very first time I had such a problem, after a few hundred hours with PIC. Therefore I'm a bit helpless. If it helps:P4 1.5 GHz, 512MB RAM, GForce3Any ideas?Regards -Stefan

Hi folks,I'm using PIC-Panel, Posky 767-300 with FS2002 and FlightSim Yoke USB and ProPedals USB both from CHProducts.I don't know how these yokes/pedals move in reality and how fast they react. That's why im looking for realistic settings for the nullzones and the sensitivity sliders in FS2002.Perhaps someone who ist flying the real one has realistic settings for the yoke und rudder sliders? Would be great to read something about the yoke/rudder settings you are using to fly the Posky aircraft.Joe

Sorry if this has been covered before but I did a search of the posts and could find nothing on it. Is it possible to have the fs2002 gps display on the pic 767 panel and if so how do you do it??. Also the little semicons for ATC,map etc.... Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks ATC

Hi,The PoskyPICV3 merge in the spot view does not animate the nose gear and the rudder. The nose gear does not turn, even though it is possible to steer the plane. Is this a known issue? If not any advice on what can be going wrong?- thanks, emil

Hi all.Just wondering if anyone can offer me any assistance and or advice on a small problem I have with 767 PIC. A typical scenario was a flight I completed earlier on today from EGCC to LEPA. I loaded a total of 25839 Lbs of fuel onboard the aircraft (Roughly 12919 Lbs in each wing tank - Nothing in the centre) which gave me a TOW of 270539 Lbs. Once I began the T/O roll, everything was fine until I reached approximately 80 Kts, then the nose started pitching up by itself even though I hadnt applied any backward pressure on the joystick. I attempted to keep the nose down by applying forward pressure until the aircraft accelerated to the V1 speed of 119 Kts, but to no av…

hi alllast night i try to put these gauge into my panel for PIC. But in the front view , outside view is not display with instrument. I must type "Shift + 2" to have it appear. It is like a layer problem. Second , the FMC is not display at full size. only the 2 first line of the keyboard are displayed. With modification of the panel.cfg give by Gauthier, i suceeded into full display of FMC.Any idea ? PI

Hi,When flying in VOR mode with the nav. radios set to manual, if I needto check the MAP mode, the setting goes to auto what is fine. The problem is when back to VOR the frequency tuned before as gone. I needto look to the chart, set Rad Nav to Manual and ajust again the freq, witch can be difficult on final. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong.thanksJoao

There is a rectangular gauge to the left of the altimeter that goes up and down depending on if you're climbing or descending. It goes out of range at a certain altitude. Is this a radar altimeter that starts measuring when the aircraft reaches a certain altitude?I also don't see this gauge in any of my pictures of 767-300 cockpits. Do real 767's have this gauge? Thanks,Jason

What does N1 and N2 mean? I think they refer to the % capacity of the engine blades (inner and outer), but I'm not sure - can anyone clarify? Thanks!Jason

I have made the merge without any problem but during the acceleration at takeoff, the plane just accelerate like a rocket and leave the ground very very early for that weight !!!!Moreover, it leaves the ground by itself !! no need to pull the joystick !! With the same situation, same weights and fuel, same airport and flight plan, it doesn't happen with the original PIC plane.Does anyone has already experienced this problem and has a solution ?Best regards,Guillaume

Hi, I have recently started using FDC and want to use there altitude calls. Is there any way to turn off the default PIC 767 altitude calls. I have tried deleting the wav files under PIC but they are still there...Thanks ATC

I was wondering where to get a UK airline SOP-based 767 checklist? The ones without 18000ft transition stuff like that... Any ideas?I'm sure there are quite a few - indeed the search I did in this forum yielded some bits and pieces but not a real result.Anyone who has this could you e-mail it to [email protected]? Thanks Lex

Hi all!I have a few questions about PIC.1. When I'm cruising enroute I notice that sometimes the plane slows down, without any apparent reason (lowers thrust setting to ~50% N1) and then after a few seconds accelerates back to CRZ-speed (and CRZ thrust setting). Why is this happening? Am I missing something obvious?2. I purchased the CH flightsim yoke PRO recently, and when I used it with PIC I noticed that it is _neccessary_ to map both engines to different levers, i.e. engine1 to yoke throttle lever and engine2 to yoke prop lever. I didn't seem to be able use _both_ engines with just one lever ... (like I did with my previous FFB joystick). I know it is more realistic t…
