Now that I finally got myself a set of charts for Montreal I will be taking a look at the CYUL set with Approach transitions.It looks as if someone has already done up a nice set that were available on the old seaartcc.org site - many thanks to whoever got them started.Now a question......With all of these new procedures.. do we need to create runway transitions for NON-RNAV arrivals? I ask this because I personally think that the approaches should contaion transitions from RNAV arrivals and published IAF's only... but not from a standard arrival.. since generally the pilot's job would be to navigate from the end of the arrival to the start of the approach.On second thoug…

As noted on the Western Regionals post. I ran into my very first problem with the "new" SIDS/STARS procedures using the runway transitions on the RLSKs.I can replicate this every time. For the record, I am using the AIRAC-0201 / WP-0201JB and the KLAS_V2.zip package dated 4-17-02 1159PM.Program a flight, say KABQ-(anything)-PGS.LYNSY1-KLAS-all is fineSelect rwy 19R and then using the RLSKs select the runway trans from LYNSY1-again, all is fineNow change the runway to 19L and once again RLSK the trans from LYNSY1-NOW you got a problem, or at least I doAll waypoints have disapeared from the LEGS page and from the EHSI.When I try to reenter PGS on the LEGS page, or anythin…

Has anyone else noticed a pipe with open door located under the tail of the Posky 767-300er? What is this? air supply of some sort? and how do you shut it?Z

I always have to wind the engines up to 55-65% N1 to get the damnthing to move! I am not a real pilot but I hear 767 pilots say that even with allot of fuel, 767's seem to want to roll at idle.I know that tweeking is not a very good idea as it would create some other nuisances but its just annoying to have to hear engines startscreeming just to taxi. After taxiing in from a flight and parking, I received a magenta message over the Engine 1 N2 display reading x-bld. I shut down both engines and then restarted which cleared the message. However, the Engine 2 thrust was then degraded (15% less than #1 with 1/2 the fuel flow at idle) and the R HYD system, R fuel pump and R ENG crossbleed valves all showed faults and I was unable to clear them. Any suggestions as to what was causing the problem? I could not even find the X-Bld message referenced in the manual.

I'm not very schooled in the fine art the "autoland". I've been trying to activate it but can't. At what point do you activate the autoland? Is it just a matter of hitting the "APP" button or is it the "LOC" button? and what is the difference between the two?. One more thing, do you hit the "APP" button first or the other two autopilot buttons first? I've been reading the manual but it is not very helpful..thanks

Flying PIC for over a year now, and read many positive reviews about the ED3D glasses + the IRtrack (hands free POV controller) so I decided to get them to upgrade my PIC experience. Well, after messing around w/ them for several days, my verdict is that they are both excellent.The 3D effect is awsome (even on the PIC 2D panel) and takeoffs and landings are really fun. Going back to the MS stock planes w/ the VC panels, the new 3D effects are simply amazing. The visual quality improves quite a bit and the way the glare shield and MCP sticks out over the forward instrument panel is really neat. Hi,First let me state that I am new to PIC and am still reading the manuals. The problem I am having is that sometimes (not always), when the altitude alert sounds as I am approaching the set altitude, it gets stuck and keeps sounding. Even pressing Q to turn off FS2002 sounds will not silence it. Any help appreciated.Thanks,Pesi

Hi y'allAs a new user of PIC I recently spent a lot of time going through all the pages on this forum, digging out all sorts of useful info, learning how to merge PIC and POSKY, etc. One thing I couldn;t track down was a taxi light switch which I'm guessing was removed after the latest (sad) troubles re Lee's merge file.FWIW, if anyone else wants to have this useful tool I've managed to put one on the main PIC flight panel with the following:gauge30=Boeing777-300!Taxi_Light_Switch, 89,611,27Obviously you'll need to use an appropriate gauge number if your panel is already tweaked.Paul

VATUSA's Alburquerque ARTCC, at which I'm a controller, will be hosting tomorrow night's western region flyin featuring my home city of Tucson, Arizona. (KTUS) A bunch of us controllers for VZAB have been working for the past two weeks to make this a really cool event and we're going to have every controller position in the area fully staffed plus a list of real world preffered routing to and from KTUS to just about every major city in the US availiable on the ZAB webpage. Hi Lee,I'm using your V3 Posky/PIC merge with the V3 Posky 767 visual model and the orginal PIC .air file. Works really great but I seem to notice that braking strength with your merge seems to be a lot higher than with the original FS2002 PIC aircraft.cfg file. Is there any way this could be true or is it just my imagination? :) You mentioned in the readme files that you had to make some adjustments to get the Posky model and the PIC autobrake system to mesh properly. Thanks a lot for your merge, I'm really enjoying it.Don't take life too seriously- you'll never get out alive anyway

Hi allI have noticed that my PIC/POSKY V3 merged airplanes (PIC air file and modified PIC cfg file) occasionally get the "shakes" while flying around. Specifically, the wings rock back and forth very quickly with a frequency of about 2 or 3 per second and max about 5 deg of bank. It seems to come and go and I cannot relate it to a particular speed or flight regime.Anyone else noticed this with their airplanes? An if so, any ideas how to fix it or is it a undesirable side-effect of the merge.Thanks,Kevin

Well Just wondering If somone can do the SIDS/STARS for PHNL Intl, as the ones on the PIC database web sites, does not work, They only have some of the STARS for OHNL, But the ones for SIDS does not work, they have no info at all! When you load all these files from the site, only some STARS show up on the PIC FMC, and when you go to select a SID in the PIC FMC which shows the SIDS on the screen but have no procedures to them! No waypoints att all for the SIDS! like they are there just to show on the FMC. I e-mailed the Author in controll of the site like Twice already!, and I never get a reply from him at all! I just got PIC767 and am having problems getting it installed in MSFS2002 Pro. I first installed PIC767, and then installed the patch that came on the CD. I got the following messages pop up when opening FS:"MSFS 2002 has detected third party software that may not be compatible with this version. File: B767W.DLL.....", followed shortly by the same message with "File: ADVDISPLAY.DLL". After that FS crashed to desktop.I went to Wilco's site and saw the second patch and installed it. Same result. I then uninstalled PIC767, restarted the install, but this time did not install the patch that came on the CD, just the one off the site. Same result.Does anyone know how to …

I downloaded the a/c and the patch. But when I placed it in my 2k2 directory the aircraft does not have a .mdl folder or mdl.cfg file to place in that missing folder. Anyone else have this problem or know a solution?
