I know it is impossible to climb with a fully loaded aircraft to FL390. How do I calculate the target altitude with the combination of aircraft weight. If I let the FMC do the work, the aircraft immdediately wants to climb to FL330 or more. Is there a manual or something else.

Hello everybody,Does anyone know where PIC2FS can be downlowded? I tried the (old) site wich was maintained by Jason Barlow, but it's obviously down. Many thanks in advance,Tom

Anyone ever wondered if they could do as good a job as the UAL crew did in bringing their crippled DC-10 in at Sioux Gateway a few years ago? Well, so did I. I set up a .83 cruise at FL370 with the PIC 767 and shut down all of the hyd. systems to simulate the kind of complete failure experienced by the UAL crew that day. I had ABSOLUTELY no control of the airplane! Worse than that though, the nose started rising abruptly and and the a/c soon stalled and started falling like a leaf toward the ground. I'm wondering if anyone has successfully simulated the effect that I was going for here. Maybe there's an adjustment that can be made somewhere to keep the airplane from going…

Hi there . . . I'm looking for a file called 'picpos34.zip' which is a guide to improving frame rates in PIC, any help in locating this much appreciated.

I do not know what is causing the airspeed indicator to stick at 30kts. When the aircraft passes 30kts the airspeed will increase. After landing it then sticks again at 30kts. Failures are turned off.

What did I miss in the manual.I swich VOR1 to manual and tune into a VOR, In the EHSI (swiched to VOR mode) I can see that the VOR signal is being received. But I can't click the LOC switch on the MCP, nor the BCRS switch. CMD and FD are active. What is wrong? Thanks in advancePeter

Good morning all:Often on climb-out and descent, I have noticed that the Auto Pilot will direct the airplane or flight director (I fly these parts of the flight by hand with the AT engaged) to maintain speed with attitude adjustement (nose-up/nosed down), which frequently means I am missing the altitude targets at each waypoint - often by substantial amounts. Last night I hit my crusing alititude a good 70 miles before the ToC bug on the HSI and the plane would have kept going if I hadn't dropped out of VNAV. This also happens on descent, when I might hit my 12 miles out final approach alititude a good two waypoints early. It seems to me that this is likely an Auto Thro…

This is addressed to anyone in the airline industry who might have some knowledge about airline cruising speeds and flight schedules. I read a recent earlier post on here in which a 757 pilot mentioned that his company's dispatch office will monitor his aircraft's position and ETE, then prompt the flightcrew via ACARS to adjust the FMC Cost Index if need be to allow the flight to maintain the correct time schedule.I've always wondered how this works, how a commercial flight can arrive on time despite changes in forecast winds and ATC deviations. I thought that flightplans had to be filed with a designated cruising speed and that such a speed would have to be maintained…

hey you guys what's the ZFW on the 767-200ER i know that we put the default weight of 245,000 in the PIC767-300ER but how about the 767-200ER by Posky

Doing a descent using VNAV, optimum mach was 0.78, speed 292 (or just about), I was doing 250 kts in cruise, then as the descent began, the machmeter went down to about 0.76, speed was around 260-270kts, then the plane reached the predicted speed. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong. The workaround I'm using is VS to keep my airspeed at the desired level!!Francois

Hi LeeJust a small query regarding your latest PIC/POSKY merge. I followed your precise instructions fully to merge the fantasic POSKY v3 767 and the superb PIC panel - However, when I load FS the additional strobes that should raise up with the flexing wings after take-off do not. They remain below the wings flashing below and slightly aft of their proper positions. Just wondering why this is and if you or anybody else could offer me some advice re this.I have copied all relevant files to their respective folders and everything seems to be fine apart from the FS2002 strobes. I have tried all different lighting configurations from the flightdeck and I cannot seem to find …

Hi all,it may seems very strange, but I can no longer take off with my 767 Pic for 2002.I never had any problems.I removed and then installed again the Pic, but the result is the same: when I reach the Vr and then rotate, the aircraft tries to leave the rwy, but it remains on the ground.Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.renzo

Hello All!I have a question regarding the airspeed indicator and the altimeter data pertaining to 767PIC. Please forgive me if this is a no-brainer for everyone, but I am new to 767PIC and unsure of the default (parked at the gate) readings of the instruments. Here is the problem: The first image shows the airspeed showing 30 knots. I am parked at a gate in KSLC using an add-on scenery package, FYI. The second image shows the altimeter after I changed it to 29.95 - However, the data shows the final digit halfway between the 5 and 6.Are these two issues actually how they should be? or, is there something wrong with my installation. Here is how my system is currently setup (…

In Cruise flight I am noticing that my cruise power is at about 95%, speed ok at .79 at FL350, fuel flow seems ok. If this is normal then no problems, just checking. My next thing is with the POSKY Ver3 767. On the right side of the plane near the tail their seems to be a intake that is always open. I thought maybe the APU intake??? but after shutting of the APU in flight that was not it. Any suggestion on how to close it would be appreciated. Other then those things, I am very impressed with the PIC panel, can't figure out what took me so long to purchase it. Oh well!!! :(Thanks in advance.Dave
