http://www.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf/east...rash/index.htmlJust awful... this is the first non-terrorist related 767 crash since the Lauda thrust-reverser incident. Also the first ever Air China crash. This has all the hallmarks of a controlled flight into terrain episode. Most survivors were in the front portion of the plane, which seems to me that they almost sucessfully executed the GPWS escape maneuver.

Hi there Lee!First of all thank you so much for your creations, creations that make the best God d*** model go with the very best panel!A dream that has been realised by you and for that we are forever greatful.I looked at some earlier postings form people using your merger, and they had all given you a pounding, from where I stand, so I want to tell you that I love your merger and what it has done to my simming experience!Well what I wanted to ask you is if you have heard any stories or if you even might have some experience of your own, regarding the compatibility of the merger aircraft.cfg and the POSKY 762V3?I really want to fly El Al and Us Air flights so that would…

After reading a recent post I decided to get the guage for FSMeteo. However, after flying for awhile (4hr flight)when I try to load the guage FS shuts down completly.I just reread the post and no one else seems to have this problem. Now it could be that I'm just overtaxing my system, it's only a PII 400 with 384 megs of RAM. I've always used FSMeteo without any problems, just that it is inconvenient to have to pause and bring up the menu to get current weather. Btw, I am also still using FS2000.Any thoughts?

Hi thereI have used the merge utility. Everything works great with the PIC panel and POSKY model but only when i am in a decent the speed will not go down. When i fly a continuous decent, so when i fly out of the decent straight into the G/S the speed only increases.I have set the MCP to 180 or less but it will keep bilding up speed. How can this be?????Olso when i am in a normal decent an have the v/s somewhere around -1200 it keeps bilding up speed. a/t and everything aremd and set correctly.Mark Honing

Is it correct that when the 767 is on the ground the altimeter reads 10 feet more than the airport altitude? I mean, when I am at LIRF, which should be 14 ft, the altimeter reads 24 ft. Shouldn't it read the exact airport altitude? Of course the exact qnh is set. Thanks,Luca

Hi,I am using CH Flightsim Yoke, CH Pro Throttle USB and CH Pro Pedals USB to control PIC. They are easily recognised by WindowsXP and FS2K2 let you configure each joystick individually. However, the buttons on the CH Pro Throttle are not recognised in the PIC/Settings/Custom Control menu. I have tried to use the CH Control Manager software to make one virtual joystick of the three CH products. This gives you for instance the possibility to assign F12 (Roger Wilco) to a switch, which is great. But with this piece of software, I seem to loose proportional breaking on the Pedals, and also the 4-way switches on the Pro Throttle are treated as hat switches and cannot be seen …

I uploaded up-to-date KATL STARs and Approaches at http://www.seaartcc.org/767pic/weps/index.phpunder the names KATL-STAR.zip and KATL-APP.zip, respectively. The approaches are just copied out of the old database, but the STARs have been brought up-to-date. There really aren't any SIDs; the ATL4 departure is just vectors, so I didn't bother uploading it.Lee Hetherington (KBOS)[link:www.sls.lcs.mit.edu/ilh/fs/DFMS734.zip]B734 Dreamfleet/Microsoft MergePS: I also uploaded KLAX-PDZ4.zip, the way I do the PDZ4 STAR with approach transitions named PDZ4 to complete the profile descent.

I've been slowing fixing up the KSFO SIDs and just finished them all. Many of those from the SEAARTCC site do not work for me (runways ending in B instead of L/R, empty .wsd files, etc.). I'm sure others have done the same, but in any case, I'm making mine available in case others would like to use them.http://www.sls.lcs.mit.edu/ilh/fs/767pic/KSFO-SID.zipLee Hetherington (KBOS)[link:www.sls.lcs.mit.edu/ilh/fs/DFMS734.zip]B734 Dreamfleet/Microsoft Merge

Please help.I love the PIC767 but am constantly frustrated that the thrust reversers will not work. When I idle the engines and hit F2 they start to speed up again instead of going into reverse. This also happens on full auto land. Even with max auto brake, foot brakes and auto spoilers, I am only just able to stop at the end of major runway lenghs. I have also tried calibrating my yoke to allow for reversers but this does not work either. Is this a common problem or do I need to adjust something.Thanx

What is the proper procedure for enabling random failures? I would like to fly, knowing that the plane isn't necessarily 100% reliable. But I don't like the idea of saying "In 20 minutes, so and so will fail" I just don't want to know, but occasionaly I would like something to fail, or have some kind of inflight emergency.

This question probably has been approached numerous times but maybe one of you can help. When I approach an ILS intercept my aircraft seems to want to turn in the opposite direction as in a backcourse direction.I usually have the approach button selected and the Left and Right auto switches armed. Any help would be appreciated and one more ? can you import a FS2K2 or FSNav file into the FMC. I am using a POSKY/PIC combo FS2K2 Pro.P4-1.9512megGEFORCE3

Hi All, First let me say what a joy it is to fly the PIC 767 panel with the POSKY V3 model (using PIC air file via the merge zip). I've just completed flights from Teesside (EGNV) to Los Angeles (KLAX) and back using modified ETOPS flight plans from AVSIM library, without any real problems, except that part way through the flight I get an FMC message 'Fuel Disagree - Prog (2/2)'. When I go to page two of the FMC progress pages, the totaliser and calculated fuel remaining differ. The difference gets up to about 6000 pounds before completing the flight and the message cannot be persuaded to stay away. I clear the message but it keeps coming back. These are 11 hour fli…

Well I would just like to state that I'm a new born PIC pilot!I have dreamt of your product and even bought a year ago now, but until recently I did not own a PC capable of handling your beast of a panel. Now I am getting more and more routine in the handling of the panel and I just want you to know that I am really amazed, I have never experienced a panel and FMC like this, this product is real, the feeling you get once back on the ground is I've got to get back up there! The PIC sets of feelings in me that are hard to explain you just feel...Something special when you fly and when you're just sitting and planning your trip for two hours with the hymn of the A/C in the bac…
