Hi,In a recent thread on 767 normal checklists, someone made a distinction between procedures and checklists:"The real ones[ie company checklists] are one A4 page and are relatively short. The ones you have downloaded look more like procedures, not checklists".I've noticed myself(from watching the flight video that comes with the DF737) that normal checklists are indeed quite succinct. In fact, all checklists combined seemed to fit on a single, double-sided, laminated A4 sheet! Can someone enlighten me on this distinction, please? My working definition is that procedures are used to, for example, set up the aircraft prior to engine start, and that checklists are used to co…

Hi I recently installed the PICPOSKY3 combo and when I taxi faster than 10 knots with power applied the nose wheel bounces real high. It happens at every airport I go to, the plane just crashes I have no idea what is causing it. I installed the PICPOSKY3 combo correctly and turning down the scenery or reinstalling it does nothing to fix this problem. This only happens with the combo and I wanted to find out if there is a flaw that I don't know about. Has anyone experienced this? How might I be able to fix this? Thank You.:-wave

Hi I am familiar with the takeoff procedure but I wanted to find out why takeoff procedures say to rotate to 10 or 15 degrees when a tail strike can happen at 9.8 degrees? I was at the LGA airport recently and noticed all jets rotate maybe to about 7 degrees and wait to they are airborne before pulling the nose higher up. Is that why the FD commands 7 degrees in TO TO mode? I know the aircraft becomes airborne by the time you reach 15 degrees, but isn't it proper to rotate to about 7 degrees and wait until the aircraft leaves the ground before pulling to 15 or 20 degrees? Thank you. :-)

hello everybody...I'll be very happy if anyone can help my questions~~In the real flight with 767 or other aircraft, do we need to maintain a specific pitch during cruise in order to decrease the pressure of the wings..for example i've seen many cockpit videos which they always have 2.5 degrees of pitch up during cruise whatever they got a long flight or a short flight, and also i know during flight, aircraft will try to put COG in the rear of aircraft by adjusting the fuel placement during flight. And by my own experience in 767PIC, take off with MTOW and cruise at FL370 with M.80, the pitch will be around 3 degrees or even more, so in the case should i cruise at lower a…

The next PIC group flight will be scheduled on September 22nd at 1900Z in Canada. This will be a three hour event with three short legs featuring 4 excellent airfields. I will keep you in suspense for now but trust that it will rival the Madeira flight for scenery, challenge, skills aquired, and excitement. Details will be posted next Monday. Don't even try to guess! We have Ian Elchitz helping with the routing package(yes, a one stop download) and Bill Van Caulart assisting with ATC coordination.Mark your calendar and stay tuned!

The inability of the PIC767 panel to select NDB frequencies which require .5 increments (eg.`BW`276.5) has been raised in this forum in the past. A solution was posted some time ago, using I believe the default Boeing 777 radios.I have attempted to locate the appropriate post without success. Is there any kind soul out there who would point me in the right direction please? I would be very grateful for any suggestions which would solve the problem.

I am not that familiar with the use of the above procedures as far as PIC 767 goes so i need some help with how to properly enter them into the FMC.. are u supposed to use both the STAR (where available) and the corresponding runway approach together or do u only use one or the other? I tried using both of them for a flight into JFK. can't remeber the exact STAR i used but i did use the RW4L approach and i got a flight route which did not seem right (flew right past the airport to a waypoint about 100 miles over the atlantic and then turned 180 to go back to the approach to 4L. is this really how these guys fly in the real world ? any help/tips on the correct of STAR's…

Hi!Status: FS2002, PIC767 with update for FS2002.I have read the manual carefully.I have two problems.1) Flying with FMC on FPL works OK, I'm getting a solid blue track. When I want to use DIR TO functionit don't give me a direct coarse to the selectedwaypoint. It only highlights the whole FMC-FPL with a dotted white line witch I'm already following. When I push "execute" the FMC continue on the FPL.In other words I don't get a direct coarse in DIR mode.2)When trying to exit a HOLDING the FMC don't continueon the FPL it just keep on turning even though I have armed the exit and pushed the excute button.Hope you have some hints for me!have a good flight! / orjan-ESSB

I got a problem with getting MACH speed in FMC.I want to have an altitude change during the flight, so at the leg I want I put .800/360, but the FMC gives an error.I tried several things, but didn't work. But when I put:310/360 it works perfect. How to get the MACH in ?I also use the POSKY 763. I have seen some posts and the onlything I have to do is download that program B763 PIC POSKY3 ?Thanx,FlyerNL

Hi I was looking at a real 767 checklist and I noticed the Before Start Checklist has a "Oxygen........Checked" on it. How is this performed on the real aircraft? Do they wear the mask for a moment and test it or do they press some test switches on it without wearing the mask? Also are the mask located on the lower left and lower right of the pilot and copilot? Thank You.:-)

I recently flew out of Atlanta Int'l to Salt Lake City last week on a 767-300 and after getting airborne over Atlanta, I noticed that the flaps were not retracting and that the aircraft was remaining level and at the below the flap maximum speeds. We remained at what I thought was 5 degrees flap setting for about 15 minutes and then the Captain told us that they had a slight problem with retracting the flaps and that he was in contact with ground ops at the Atlanta airport which is the major hub for Delta airlines. They told him that it was up to him whether or not he wished to come back to Atlanta and land or to proceed to Salt Lake City, Utah. The Captain said that sinc…

Since it's been discussed, my question, what is the last pretty strange panel in 767 Pic, being behind the pilots just over the third or fourth seat in cockpit? Looks like solid russian switches ;) Intercomm? Ground? or smth else? Another issue, chiefly attn. to Pic team, rhetorical or not, but when or should we expect weather radar (gauge) in the patch, if not, what obstacles block this nice patch to burn in Pic? Msfs (2002) itself? So far, you are the best.Cheers!

Hi I was just looking at a 767-cockpit picture and noticed the Auxiliary Panel on the right side of the cockpit. I know you can't see this panel in PIC but do pilots press every switch on there during the scan check on the real 767 to test equipment during the first flight of the day? Or is the Panel for maintenance use only? Thank You. :-)

I have started getting an fmcvector.gau fault which causes FS2K to crash. It may do this several times per flight, making it unusable. I have updated the video drivers, checked the wilcopub.com FAQ section (& so I make sure the LT OVHD is off during the day). It appears to be random? Can anyone help???

Dear all,I have had PIC for a while now and want to try new challenges of flying on Vatsim. I was tempted by last weekends fly-in to Maderia but couldn't make it. However, I am trying to find how I could programme one of my joystick buttons to be a "push to talk" button when using Roger Wilco. I have just bought a headset and mic but I think it needs to be set up on the joystick. Roger Wilco seems to accept F12 but I prefer to use the joystick if possible. I have a MS FF2 stick. Many thanksClowesy

Hi I was just wondering what the procedures are for checking the circuit breakers on the first flight of the day? Do they check that every breaker is on or is there more to it? Are there more circuit breakers in the 767 cockpit besides the overhead breakers? If possible does anyone have a pic of the overhead circuit breaker panel on the 767? Thank You. :-wave
