Hi all, I was having problems with missings some transmissions from ATC and I planned on doing a flight this past weekend to try a fix that JD had suggested. When I tried to fire up RCV4 as usual I got a message sayig that "this is an unregistered copy of radar contact" I then went to my email and retrieved my key code and pasted it into the "key" field and clicked the activate button and nothing happens. I tried this a few times with no luck. I haven't made any changes to my system outside of upgrading RCV4 to v4.2. Any ideas how to bypass this issue.? Thanks!!

I see from the latest Google group e-mail that you are currently designing the RC interface for version 5. I have a plea to make. Could you make the interface such that it is useable with the Windows high contrast colour scheme? For people with certain types of visual impairment, using the Windows high contrast colour scheme is the only way we can use computers. This colour scheme reverses the usual black text on a white background to white text on a black background. Under XP, go to Display Properties, then Appearance, then under Color Scheme choose either High Contrast Black, High Contrast #1 or High Contrast #2. Then open the RC4 interface. Hi,strange problem here:For Info: I have the latest version of RC and FSUIPC 3.7 installed.I have some freeware airports that I downloaded from AVSIM installed. The airports are EDDF Frankfurt and EDDS Stuttgart.This is what I do:I open the MS flight planner to plan my flight. Dept airport is to be EDDF and destination ist e.g. EDDH Hamburg. Then I save the flight. Now I open up Radar Contact and load the flight plan into Radar Contact. I then noticed that under "Controller Info" there no freq. etc. set for the dept. airport and the field dept airport is blank. In addition in the field "Load a Flight Plan" the dept. airport is also missing. The text starts something with …

When I use RC with FS2Crew for the LVD 767 the key combo, SHIFT-K to hand off comms to the FO dosen't work. Does anyone have a new key combo that works?thank'sDave Fisher

howdy all:1) am now flying the columbia 400. is "columbia" in the RC vocabulary? if so; how do i activate it? i believe it's in a .dat file but forgot how.2) i flew the columbia 400 three times with RC. great flights but i kept getting reamed in the critiques for busting the passing restrictions. had the plane checked off as a 'prop.' turns out RC was bringing me down from FL220 at 40 miles out instead of farther out. when i checked it off as 'turboprop,' it corrected the situation. just FYI if you fly turbocharged pistons if you didn't know already.sean

I have been building flight plan with FSBuild and exporting the plan to FS9 and PMDG with no problems. Recently, FSBuild's flight plans exported have different headings. The FS9 flight plan used by Radar Contact and the flight plan exported to PMDG have different headings.The navlog for flight plan KSEA J70 MLP J36 DIK J70 ABR J90 RWF MCW JVL JVL4 KORD follows. FS9 and Radar Contact's magnetic heading and course differ by 5 to 20 degrees with the flight plan exported to PMDG.Is the problem navdata (recent AIRAC updates for PMDG and FSBuild) related? Like others, I apologize if this has been asked before. I did a search and didn't come up with anything, but I could have missed something.Well, here goes. I'm planning to buy RC4 and I wanted to find out if it works with FSLive Traffic from AirNav Systems before I do so. I asked the guys at JD and they directed me here as they have not tested the product themselves.Anyone out there using this combination? Please let me know.Thanks guys!

The active runway at KORD was 27R however, I requested runway 9L and ATC OKed my request.Why doesn't RC deny the request to takeoff from the opposite end of an active runway?TIA

Hello everyone1 question, I use UT and RC4.2, but i noticed when i get to cruzing level, i don't hear any more AI chatters, it seems like that im the only AC in the Airspace.Is there anything i could do to make this better??Thanks

I have experienced the following during vectors to land at numerous airports. Here is an example from CYYZAirspeed is 240; RC instructs to turn heading XXXdescend to 6000 feet, then 5000, then, while I am level at 5000 and 240 knots: "descend to 3000 feet", and a few seconds after that"reduce speed not to exceed 210 knots"followed less than 10 seconds (still trying to slow down before continuing descent) after by an altitude warning: watch your altitude, your assigned altitude is 3000 feet. I doubt that in real life ATC would not give the pilot time enough to actually slow down the plane. I have observed this at different airports. The software should be adjusted to give …

I purchased Radar Contact about 6 months ago, and I love it. It has almost totally replaced my online flying experience, because of having continuous ATC, and a great little critique at the end of the flight. I've met with Mr. Bill Stevens on numerous occassions! I've noticed that all traffic, whether east or west bound is always at odd FLs. Is this a known problem, and is there a fix in the future?Thanks for a great product, gentlemen - outstanding work!Rick

Hello,Today I wanted to use RC4 and setup a flight from KMIA (fly tampa version) to KORD for PAC 56... Route was as followsWINCO J73 LAL CTY J91 ATL J89 KURTZ VHP OKK OKK1now 1st problem I kept running into was that RC4 doesnt have the right runway information... my options were runways that doesnt even exist in KMIA (such as 27R,L) and all the runway lengths were wrong...i got to take off from runway 12 which is where all the planes were taking off from, and once I did i was being told that I was off course and to turn to 140 when i'm supposed to be heading 320... I redid the flight 3 times and all 3 times were the same thing... I rebuilt the scenery for RC4 couple of ti…

I realise from rereading my first post and having flown with RC alone, everything works fine.But I still get a problem when I load the INS in parallel with the previously loaded flightplan ( that is I use the same flight plan for RC and the INS )I did not mention that in my original post.Maybe that makes a difference somewhere ??Thanks for your assistancePeter;(

Since installing and getting to know the Tinmouse 737 I have not used RC.But now when I load a flight using FSBuild and saving it to fs2004 flights file and select and load the file from FS2004 I get the advisp saying RC is ready and then Grd contact I am unable to get any further.I get no reply from the weather contact and RC seems to go no furthersame with the grd contact.If you have any suggestions I would be grateful. It wirks fine with Level D 767Peter;(

This service pack should be installed whether or not you use the new Ground Environment Pro.

Hello everyoneSorry if it has been discussed before.1 question , I use RC4.2 and Ultimate traffic, and also active sky,Today have longhaul from NZAA to KLAX, and before get my clerance saw all the other ACs are taxing to HP RWY 05, although the winds were 240 at 08 knots, which shows RWY 23 is in use, then when i asked for taxi, i was told by ATC ro taxi to 23 !!!!Is there anything i should do to prevent this?Thanks Navid Hamzeloo

I'm not sure if this enquiry has already been posted and if so please accept my apologies.I am using FS2004 for my flight planning at present.
