HI,I have just made a short trip on the route between GOOY and GOGS. The plane was scheduled to cross "TITOR" waypoint whose coordinates (reported both on FSNav and GPS)are N13.00.00 W018.00.00. The plane just flew over it but RC shouted at me telling I had to go back. The waypoint is considered as "passed" if you are not more than 7 miles from it, and the small RC window showed "1" Nm before actually I started to fly away from it, therefore everything should have been OK. I was wondering why this happened, and then if we must update the AIRAC cycle just like I normally do with my aircrafts. Maybe that was the problem?Thank youLorenzo

I was flying Ed Force One (Maiden's world tour 752, with singer Bruce Dickinson in the left seat) last night from SAEZ to SCEL. It was dark, I complied with RC's instructions to descend from my cruise altitude of 34000 to FL140 and consequently flew into the east side of the Andes. I reflew the leg today in the daylight, having ticked the notams box. Same thing.....RC would have me decsend to FL140 while still east of the mountains. This time I persisted in maintaining FL340 until the first point on the star. The notams did not kick in until I was close to the IAF. Is this some sort of bug? Does RC not know about the Andes? Greetings,It's been two nights in a row now that I've had FS9 crash on me during the descent phase at the same point in time during the same flight. I'm flying a Tinmouse B737-200 from KDEN - KJMS. I'm using Radar Contact v4.3 and WinXP is my op system. I've flown hundreds of RC flights in the past and haven't had this happen. I am also using FlyNet when I fly. Attached (I hope) is a screenshot of the error msg. I figured I'd post this here first, since in the error msg ModName:atc.dll is mentioned.I'd certainly appreciate any and all help.Thanks,ScottKJMS (or thereabouts)

I am currently running WideFS and RC on another PC and FS9 on a 2nd PC. Every time I install RC, I receive the following message twice during the install "Registry Key of FS-9 not found, please browse to your FS-9 directory, and press OK." JD,A while back I printed out RC manual 4.0, which is quite large.My question, is the newer version 4.3 of the manual been significantly changed to warrant me or others printing out this latest manual?Bill

HiRadar Contact (v4.3 off the disk) on FSX SP2 on Vista SP1 seems to only provide me with ATIS when I launch a flight. Any effort to get clearance or return to the main menu etc results in no response. I have uninstalled and reinstalled RC (on my FSX partition) with no luck - it seems that the RC menu only recognises the number '2' on the keyboard and all other functions fail to work. manually and auto-tuning the Comm make no difference.Updated FSUIPC to the latest version and this has made no differnece.Anyone help?Andrew

Hi!Ive been having a problem with delay vectors during my approaches,The latest time i got a message that i should proceed direct to TRS for delay vectors, i get like 3 or 4 vectors then the vectors just stop, and i proceed straight ahead for like 40 minutes untill i had to announce minimum fuel and then i got to land,the thing is that there isnt hardly any other traffic, neither on the TCAS and nobody is speaking, anyone else has got this trouble?i really like the feature to be placed in holds when there is a LOT of traffic... but not to NEVER be let out of them.Anyone know a sollution?Thanks:)/Niklas

I have a computer with a partition, FS9 in one side and FSX in the other. About a week ago I decided to uninstall FS9 and move FSX and all its related software to one of the sides of the partition, as a stand alone FSX side, with all other kind of software in the other side of the partition.Everything worked fine except for Radar Contact.. I requested a new rcv4 key in the proper way and received a new Key and also a new ID product number.. Hello,I was an avid user of RC back in the day on FS98, and have recently purchased v4. I have been pleased so far, but I came across a curious situation on my last flight. I was assigned by RC to land at DCA runway 19 (default assignment, I didn't assign any runways before launching RC), and as I was rolling out after landing I saw an AI aircraft heading right at me landing on runway 1. I heard no communication between RC and the aircraft. So I was wondering how RC assigns default runways for landing, and assuming it is based on the winds why would this be a different RW from what Microsoft was telling the AI to land on. In order use RC4 to make a video segment of ATC interaction, can the text boxes be removed all together. I see that there is an option to delete the text from the controllers, but can all text boxes be removed from the picture?Regards,Russ Tucker

Hello,i wanted to add some chatter atc wav's for the dubai region, but it seems there is no FIR (winwood) available where i can add those wav's. Also Doha FIR seems to be missing. is there an easy way to add those missing FIR's? Emirates center is available in s4.csv but none in z4.csv.thanks for helping!cheers,harald

JD,I cannot get RC to register successfully. I've tried multiple keys you sent me many times to no avail. I sent the e-mail in the proper format, tried disabling firewall, nothing changed. I changed my keyboard.dat, no change either. I'm running XP Home, and the minus is in front of the Product ID.Much appreciated if you can help

Hi all,I've just started going through the RCv4 tutorials using the default B737-800. Something odd and bad happens - the flight director switch will not turn on, and all of the MCP displays are blank. I can "turn the knobs" and the mouseover tells me what the setting is, but the autopilot and autothrottle will not turn on. The radio panel is blank.What's worse is that this behavior then happens in the MCP of *all* FSX stock aircraft (except the B747, the MCP display is not electronic). By "all", I mean: the CRJ, the Lear60, the Lear45, the Goose, C172 ... you get the idea.This does not happen with those aircraft if used in Missions. If I start a mission (say Secret Shutt…

I am considering a fresh install of FS9. Over the last year and a half that I've been using it I've done a lot of experimenting with different settings, add ons, etc. I've pretty much narrowed down my simming to the type of flying I like to do and since my sim has been having some crashing problems over the last couple months (with no changes in computer hardware), I was hoping a fresh install might cure the crashes. If I uninstall and reinstall FS9 does RC4.3 require a fresh installation (the crashes occur regardless of RC4 usage or not so I know they're nt related to RC4.3).

Can someone explain the difference in a ILS runway and a LOC runway? Seem like the localizer will bring me down on a ILS runway but I have a hard time on a LOC runway.

Recently flying into Guam RW 06L ILS and found that the ILS frequency shown by RC was different than the freq posted for the same runway. Was flying PMDG747 and could not adjust acft freq to the RC freq. Why the difference and how should I handle that in the future? Enjoy flights to Guam and I have flown into and out of that airport over 300 times IRL.

Hello everyone,I can't get RC to accept my plotted flightplan.I make use of "Route Finder" to get my flightplan which I plot into the FMC of my PMDG 747.How do I get my route to be accepted by RC?Example(just tried) KLAX to MMMX:Route: KLAX sid JLI j93 PPE ut10 ZCL uj5 QET v14 SLM star MMMXFL 330After take off RC keeps on directing me to a non plotted waypoint or VOR, and the AP won't engage on the plotted route.Do I perhaps need FSNav to convert the route?all help welcomeHappy landings!

Hello All,Just wondering if there is something im doing wrong.I flew from EDDB to EGSS, had my flight plan loaded in FS9, RC and the company rte in my PMDG737.The flight went very well, all the way to the rwy23 ILS approach, at 5 miles, and 145 knots, flaps 25 and gear down an incredibly rude Ryanair 737 rammed me in the tail, resulting in the death of yours truly and the 92 souls on board!How can I avoid the same happening again?I guess I could have made a violent avoidance manoeuvre, but understood that RC would hold up following traffic. I am having a problem installing Radar Contact into FSX. (It works fine in FS9)I have two harddrives, one with WindowsXP and FS9 and one with Vista and FSX.I followed your instructions and copied the directory rcv4 and renamed it rcv4x, unzipped the new download into the rcv4x directory (overwritting all) and copied the new makerwys.exe file into the main FS9 and FSX directories (I didn't see it as a .zip file to be unzipped as the instructions says)When I select the rcv4.exe, I am getting the following error:"Component 'MSINET.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."Could you tell me what I am doing wrong?Thank you,Bob

Quick question on departure vectoring.On one of the tutorial flight plans supplied with RC, after I depart, they tell me to fly runway heading. After a bit, the have me turn to a course that is close to my next waypoint.If I make a IFR flight plan without a SID / STAR, I am told to takeoff and fly runway heading and am not told to turn again. Hey...got a question....having a great time with Radar Contact BTW ;)I use Voice Buddy to control my aircraft functions via voice commands. The last couple flights it seems as if Radar Contact is conflicting with the Voice Buddy program. Under certain transmissions Radar Contact is 'suspending' my flight (pause). The key command in Voice Buddy to pause a flight is 'p', just as it is in FS default. The voice command is 'suspend flight'. Any idea why I would be getting this conflict? Don't understand how the two can be 'hearing' each other. I use headphones while flying, with a separate mic for voice transmissions. I never have sounds coming through the speakers while in FS…
