Hi, I've joined this forum a couple of weeks ago, and I must say: THANKS everybody for your great support!I need some help with the SIDS and STARS of PMDG's 777. I re-installed Fly!II, updated it with the patches to 2.5.240 and downloaded the 0403 PMDG Airac package (which is the latest available I presume) from simvol. When I try to program the FMS I keep getting HDG errors and after that, no SID or STAR is available in the ARR/DEP menu. I didn't used to have these errors, I really don't know what to do.. Does somebody know this problem and has solution? PMDG doesn't support her FLY!II model anymore, so your the only help that I can get.I already posted this question in …

Hi all,I didn't realise it until today (whilst practising landings in the Skyhawk) that the CH Yoke hatswitch can be used to pan the viewpointin a continuous fashion.Also saw the old posting recommending changing the Fly ini to Ignore turbulance=1 and Ignore slopewind=1.Makes a huge difference to the jerkiness that was a problem for me with the Skyhawk.:-cool

Hello Fellow PilotsI am just chatting away here...But I am looking for ideas from those that have walked the paths or know of others who have told the stories they have walked...I currently have fs9, ActiveSky2004.5, AlertPro, Ultimate Traffic2004, American Data Roads Rails Streams, and Some FS Genesis Mesh...As far as what I need to upgrade to next kinda at a loss... I want to get her as real as I can... Been thinking about Radar Contact it is just beta for fs2004 at this time I think, and I have got my eyes on FS Passengers.Would anyone have any Ideas or suggestions for me? Thanks

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!Bush Flying Unlimited has several forums on Avsim. It's like a loosely structured charter service in the bush. There is no set minimum or maximum of flights you must accomplish. Anyone on any sim is welcome. On the "general discussion forum" you can ask questions and submit requests for aircraft to be added to the aproved list. On the "job assignments and flight reports" forum you look for "jobs" that apeal to you and fill out a report (PIREP) with screenshots on your flight. The only requirement is that you create at least one job to replace the one you take. "Rehashing" of old jobs is O.K., preferrably with some details altered. Jobs are …

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!For a while I have been wishing I could park inside hangar type #2. I can get in just fine with reverse thrust in the Pilatus or Hawker. But when I reenter in Persistent World or exit slew I wind up on the roof. As a possible solution I thought of making the hangar- just the roof if possible, otherwise the whole thing "soft". That way I could start a session parked in a hangar. Also I think I remember a "pushback" utility being available for FLY 2. Is that true?Best Regards, Donny:-wave

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!The screenshot utility from the ROTW DVD is nifty. But the quality setting (100) results in images that exceed upload limits for Avsim. I'd like to reduce the quality to medium (3 scans) maybe even to the lowest (1 scan). Just wondering what the acceptable values are. I'm guessing 010 for lowest quality and 030 for medium but I don"t want to guess. Also I am having a problem with resetting my keyboard assignments. Works fine for the session then reverts to what they were before I changed anything. My default.key properties are archive, not read-only. Thanx in advance.Best Regards, Donny:-wave

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!Sorry it took so long, I was out of town for the weekend. PAY's runway with ILS is 11, 111.00. I teleported to my "home" airfield KABE PA where I never had a problem before. Runway 06 110.7 and 13 111.9 both are NOW read by the EFIS as the same runway, forgot to check but I think the erroneous ILS headings match with PAY. PAY shows up as PAYA on the GPS. Also now when I click on a VOR in vector map Lat/long coordinates elevation and frequency are all zeros. The only other words that apear are I.D. Morse, no names or IDs. I don't know when this problem apeared, either basic instalation, ROTW addon, PGMD 777 installation or reaplication of 24…

Hi Fly!ersI have downloaded all the airports and the taxiways files for Denmark, thanks Wayne, for all that you are doing for us, day after day. :-wave Just noticed one problem: the taxiways for EKCH (Kastrup) are visible for flying, but don't appear in the vectorial map. When looking at the files within the pod, I can see that there is one file only for this airport, EKCH.tms... perhaps this could be the explanation of the problem.Cheers and happy Fly!ingAzzurro

I took the plung and got the PMDG 777. After installing Fly will not start at all! Crash to Desktop. Can anyone help? Thanks.On startup I don't even get to the graphics setup screen. I get an error and the gtfo file logs the following: Anyone have any ideas. Haven't heard of anyone else having this problem. Even with the engines at idle and that parking brake set, she still keep moving. Is there something I failed to do during the install? Thanks for any help....

Hi all!I just purchased FlyII from ebay and have been very pleased with the product! The Flysimol site and AVsim are great and I am all patched up and have finished working through the manual and the Flyhawk training (the Sahara is next).I have installed the terrain data files w100n40 and w140n40 and have been pleased with the results except for two odd wonders I have run accross.In California, by Borrego Valley, all arround the Salten Sea (El - 250) there are shere cliffs rising straight up for over 6,000 feet. Quite a site, really, but it does not match the map, LOL.I also find a similar oddity just SW of Sacramento. No lake there, just a large section (30 miles sq?) of…

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!It's me again... One of my new fave airports since getting my ROTW DVD is LNFJ near Gap. I am able to operate the Hawker on runway 36/18, a grass strip 2900 feet long. Only 36 is usable for landing due to terrain. There is a sharp drop just past the 18 end and trees just past the 36 end so the glideslope is critical. I think it's crying out for a PAPI, the row of four lights side by side. I pressed CTRL-E but the icon that had a beacon on it did nothing and none of the other menus contaned visual landing aids. I exited FLY 2 and tried the slice.exe but got the error message "FLY has caused an error in ROTW.230.DLL" etc... Can I get a :-newb…

I have a new gforce 6800 with updated Nvidia drives (and directx 9c) apparently the DX8 T&L setting in FLY2 (patched to 240) doesn't seem to work. The refection just plain and not changing as the color of the sun changes. I tried reverting to Directx 8.1 no luck. Any suggestion please.chris_CA

Tonight I took the Hawker out of Richmond for Charlotte Douglas. No problem as far as altitude was concerned. Didn't even get yelled at by the DC controller.My question is, why could I not see the other aircraft flying? There were a number of planes in the DC area but none showed up on my screen. I know that I have seen them before. Perhaps I do not have an updated dll.

I'm trying to terrascene the area from oxnard California to san francisco however I noticed that there's a gap between the tiles of two areas that I have terrascened spareately. Please see attached file and your help will be much appreciated.
