I thought I would have a go at converting a New Zealand chart for use in FLY 2. As a start to keep it small I used a section of a 1:1M chart centered on Auckland and surrounds.I followed the map making tutorial I downloaded some time ago and used the work sheet as suggested to compile the map file. The ECW and map file were copied into the FLY2 map folder.The resulting map window opened but with a blank, black image with the plane centered .I have uploaded the following files in the hope that one of our experts could put me on the right track.Being a southern hemisphere chart maybe I put the co-ordinates the wrong way round.Auckland chart table .docAuck.mapAuck2.jpg(resiz…

Has there been a fix to solve the exit to desktop if the TBM 700 EFIS source selector is clicked on? This was the text of a post in 2003. I have just installed XP and run a dual boot system with Win 98se. The Socata works fine with 98 but I have experienced the same problem as the earlier post using XP. I have purchased, but have yet to install the ROTW DVD. Is anyone aware of the OS platform this was produced on and has there been any work arounds to fix the Socata problem.Richard.

I noticed that an old dos flight sim, Ps1, which simulates a 744 cockpit in great detail, can now be tied to another computer and have fs2004 scenery for outside view. Essentially, one computer handles the cockpit, and the other handles the scenery. If this were the case for FLY2, we'd have the same scenery and add ons as fs 2004 and the great planes and cockpits of FLY2. all we need is a program that ties the two. It's fairly straight forward stuff for the right programmer.tony

I have had several good flights but now I have a problem. After reaching 10,000 ft. I get a warning and when looking at the upper panel I see a Low Pressure light on the right engine. Shortly after that both engines cut off. Can someone help?

Hi All, has anyone else consistantly had the weather at any given point not be even close to what the METAR file is telling it.I am using David's excellent Infometar program to thin my weather for every flight but FLY2 never seems to display the weather it is supposed to. i.e. today I was going from Saskatoon Int. to Edmonton, the weather in the thined METAR file at Saskatoon was:Wind 030 at 8, there were a few clouds at 10000 the temp. was 27/13 & the Pressure was 29.83. For whatever reason FLY2 thought it would be better to give me:Wind 237 at 3, Clouds Sct 4489, Few 12??? & Bkn 19???, the temp. was 20 & Pressure 29.91. I have noticed this on almost every fl…
