I have an FX5900 graphics card and the hi res scenery option selection box is greyed out. Does this tell me that I have a graphics card that TRI didn't anticipate or does it tell me that I need to tamper with the render.ini file?

Ok im running Win Xp Proff p4 3.2 gig ati 9600 radeon. Installed fly II set to directx 8 option I am running 9. and 1024 x 768 resolution loaded the screen flickers and plane is hardly visible no scenery at all dash is good. Whats the problem? Frustrated. Thanks Also what is the correct order to install the patches Adn waht are they as version # I have many saved from the old day with win 98?

According to the handy map pack diagram in the File Library, packs 12 & 16 correspond to 'IFR Enroute' maps. The diagram also seems to show that the available maps only cover a small portion of the USA. What do these maps do, and is there any point in downloading them if they are part of an incomplete feature?

In light of the recent discussions regarding using FlyII with higher resolutions than 1024x768. I thought I might put a challenge out there but let's organize it. I haven't tackled this before because I'm not sure just what all if involved.Now first off, to get higher resolutions you do have to modify the fly.ini file and you can't bring up the opening screen with video settings. Now might there be a way to modify that so that a new set of resolutions could be selected? Let's say 1024x768, 1280x960 and 1600x1200. If a modified setup screen and working internals could be made this would allow us tweakers to share it with others that don't do as well when they start me…

Hey guys,I just installed Fly! II, got it all patched up. Anywho, I put some clouds textures and water textures in my F:Fly! IIArt folder.They seem to be taking no affect. I also changed my fly.ini with "searchPodfiles=0".How do I do it? Why won't it work? As well, I dropped a "skies.ini" file into my System directory, and my sky is now dark gray with no colors.Thanks,Kyle

Hi all,I have this file Alex made called Malibu pressurization fix which is a pod file. I can't recall which folder to place it in and after reviewing posts regarding this I can't find the location either. It also is not in the library anymore nor does it have any instructions with it. FlyII has become corrupted again. Keep getting the "streamio.cpp" error. I have reinstalled Fly, but still get the error. This has happened a number of times and when I reinstalled the error goes away - for awhile anyway, but not this time.Today I ordered the disk by Simvol and hope this will correct the error for good. From what I understand about the disk is that if an error occurs I can correct the problem without having to install a bunch of files. We will see!!

I'm incommunicado for a while. *^%$#** virus checkers are more trouble than the virus they are supposed to be protect you from. :-) After years of using only Zone Alarm as a firewall I took my sons advice and downloaded and installed a freebie virus checker called "Avast". Due to my own ignorance ( I admit it - I'm a dummy)I manage to make it redirect my emails away from the standard ISP pop3 and smtp server. The net result is that Outlook Express now spits the dummy and won't run. It throws up an error "cannot initialise MSOE.dll" All attempts to uninstall outlook express and re-install it have failed no matter what I do.Win 98SE is a great operating system but the …

Just reinstalled Fly2k after long off time. As before the control setup screen wont save my yoke configurations. Throttle work but the prop and mixture dont work I am also using ch pedals. I installed version 3.2 of cleared 4 takeoff (C4TO)and the c4to-patch- 3.3.1 and flyscripts but when ever I ALT+F a dialog box appears (see attached photo) however if i removed the c4to.dll from the pc modules the box doesn't appear and I can still use the c4to minus the c4to.dll. In my taxiways folder i have the following file: atcsound, dnvoice, rrvoice, atcextra,. In flyscipts folder i installed the atccfg.fsc, c4tov20.fse, airspeed.fsc., cabincalls.fsc and gpws.fsc. Did i miss something in the installation or what i'm doing wrong here.Help will be musch appreciated. Id like to redraw the Pilots side window view, but I can't locate the (pbm/act/raw) files anywhere. G'day all,I'm patched up to the latest patch and when I select AI aircraft I find that they get around the airport taxiways with their gears retracted.I thought this bug was fixed eons ago??? Or is it just me? Is there some setting in the Fly.ini that requires attention.Cheers,Roger
