The FLY General Discussion Forum
The General Discussion forum for the TRI series of FLY Simulators.
| Richard Harvey Lake Tahoe September, 2002 | This forum and all others related to the FLY series of flight simulator, are dedicated to the memory of Richard Harvey - the lead designer for Terminal Reality's Fly.
At the AVSIM FANCON of 2002, Richard and his wife, Tara, attended. Richard was presented with AVSIM's Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the flight simulation genre and his outstanding service and support of the FS community. Richard was a friend to many of us, and never hesitated to assist and inspire. Richard passed away the following March, 2003. He is sorely missed by his friends and those that were privileged to know him.
Richard in his last post to the forums said; "Try to stay away from things that are dark, dreary, introspective, tear jerkers, etc. Think HAPPY -- be HAPPY. If that is too much to ask, then I'll change the word HAPPY to POSITIVE. That's the flow of feeling I want rolling through my soul as I depart this earth from each of you, is absolute POSITIVE energy. Don't stall on me, I have to soar!"
Richard also passed this along to us in his last post; "******* Christ is my Lord and Savior. As my loving God and Lord has protected and guided me throughout my life, I pray he will do likewise for you and your family. May each of you achieve your dreams, and not be troubled by hardships. I pray for your good health. God will only give you as much load as you can bear, and never any more. Do not lose hope, nor certainly faith. Above all, do not fear evil, for though it surrounds us it can never hurt us. It may claim hollow victories, but it always suffers defeat."
We are proud to carry on Richard's undaunted support for his passion and his unstinting support of the user. Welcome to the Richard Harvey Memorial Fly Forums! |

I am thinking of purchasing one of the CH flight yoke products (CH Flight SIm Yoke - USB) (119.95).Are there any negatives with using this product w/FLY2!? (i.e. - lower frame rates, not compatible for some reason, need to get new drivers.... whatever)What are the pros & cons? Is there anything I should know before buying? Hello, here are some other screenshots of the virtual Reno Airrace, which Wayne and I did on Sunday:.formation flight to the starting point.the spectators view to the starting point.chasing Wayne at the 407 speed limit :-).just trying to prevent a tower crash :-) Think I better fly the 407 :-) :-).watching Wayne's finish at a great sunset...Hope these pics motivate you too to take part in multiplayer next Sunday, imagine 10 people racing around that course at max speed, at lowest altitude, next to the others wing, not crashing, watching the towers, at max adrenaline ..... :-) :-) :-)BTW: How can I put the images between the text? I am sure this has something to do either with FlyScripts or C4TO. I recently installed both and since that time, have experienced frequent crashes. I originally thought it was only with the B777, but tonight I experienced the error in the SwissAir Ambulance (Hawker). I am at a loss, except to say that I have nearly no Winrun.cpp crashes without FlyScripts / C4TO. I've deleted and re-created default.keyI've deleted ALL aircraft HST filesI've deleted Autosave.sitI've tried flying in different parts of the world - no luck. NOTE: I installed Allen Kriesman's Flystart.dll today. Its possible it could have something to do with this, except I've been having frequent Winrun.cpp …

Dear gentleman: I am user of FLY (FLY! and FLY II), from their first appearance in the market, and I should say him that with FLY! I was broadly satisfied. Nothing else to leave to the American market FLY II, I acquired it with a lot of illusion, and I have really suffered two disappointments; one really comprehensible and I wait that some day it has solution, and it is the absence of Meteorological Radar, and the non integration of the meteorological time in the shammer, when I fly on-line; and the other one, is a problem that apparently only happens me to my, and that I pass to describe him shortly: It happens me that in certain airports, and concretely in two of the…
