Reading the post below I will lay out our position with regards to Fly!2.When we released the highly acclaimed Decathlon/Citabria we were dissapointed with the total downloads.It became apparent that for every one download in Fly!2 we would get 6-10 times the downloads in FS2002.Larry is correct in the amount of work needed to complete an aircraft to the standards that we want to achieve.A commercial decision was taken to build for fs2002 and to abandon our projects for the Seneca and Lear 35A.At RealAirSimulations we are a tiny unit and there isnt the manpower to build for two platforms.I approached ROTW as they build to the quality that we want and TJ (Thomas Jullien) a…

hi,Can I run FlyII with Windows XP?Also can I run my GeForce2 MX400 graphics card with Windows XP, even though on the box it says 'min req. win 98/me/2000' but does not mention XP?ThanksRic

Can some one tell me if I can use the PMD 757/767 addon with FLYII. If I can use it, is there a patch that I need to get. I herd some people talking about purchasing an upgrade, I dont know if I want to go to all that trouble and expense. Thanks for any help with this.ray

When I dabbled with Python and wrote the script autoweather, I had a great time. Now I am thinking of writing a more ambitious script. I would call it 'Airline Pilot' and try to simulate basic parameters ala ATP by Sublogic of a long time ago. This program had structured career flights and, at the end, it graded the pilot according to a number of criteria. No guarantees. Just submit suggestions. My programming skills in this area are nil, although I can program microcontrollers, so I know the basic stuff.tony

It took 3 days but the Big Island of Hawaii was successfully uploaded early this morning. Many thanks to Matt Johnson and AVSIM for extending the "maximum execution time" for uploading a file so that the island could be uploaded. It is kind of a big file (167MB) but with all the layering I had to do in Photoshop it was necessary to keep all the pieces together. I mean as the Plane moves forward and into a bad weather area, does the radar show storms before i hit them when its to late.Please advise. PS I have been useing the other sim for to long now and have forgoten how good FLY and FLY2 realy is, so now I am going to take a break from the "other sim" and use Fly2 for a while.Andrew

Hi, everybody,Did i write it?LEARN PYTHON!!!!It's just complete object oriented language integrated with Fly!!!!I'm so surprised to read here and there that what make this simulation not as good as the other one (it seems no on dare to say its name...) is that you cannot see you house poping in when your flying 1000 feet above the ground!!! Who care? Is it about flying or about sightseeing?Whit today computer no matter if you have top end stuff with vertex shadder, GMX ordinal calculation, biFlatron with deflective neutrino, you just can't reproduce reality (even if the Andy scenery was so real....and yet unreleased), so dont care about the fancy. Here are a few shots of my local airport were the Baluga, pops in for a regular visit.Its not an exact copy at all, but its my first try. When using the fly 2 editor I found some cities and buildings that were not there before... are they from the NYC pod I downloaded?As I will need to know when I upload this airport.Thanks you GuysSteve

I get this error when I try to use DirectX 8. I have a TNT2. If I use DirectX7, the graphics are all white and the framerates are extremely slow. Help please!

You have pretty much decided that FLY is no longer your sim for further development, but why not provide us with the wonderful c4to as open source? I am just curious as to your reason.tony

Hi all,I like too much Fly!II, but since I tried MSFS2002, I saw that Fly!II ATC is very poor compared to MSFS2002. Well, I just tried again, and the TRI servers still seem to be down. I was wondering if anyone has had success in accessing them since earlier in the week? Has anyone checked with TRI support regarding the status of the servers? I hope the multiplayer servers have not been discontinued!Wayne"SimPilot"
