The areas I'm flying over are terrascened and there are lots of nighttime lights. It looks good in clear weather, but if I go into "weather/other", and reduce the visibility to, say, 2 miles, Fly renders the ground night lights as visible for far too much distance.Basically the ground itself disappears around 2 miles out, and so do runway lights, but the ground lights are still visible 15 or 20 miles out it seems. It looks pretty weird to see lights all around an airport, but not the airport lights themselves until you get much closer.Anyone know of a way to adjust the night texture fog penetration? After years with FLY!2K and all the addons, the local computer store was clearing FLY!2 for under 10 US$. Couldn't resist that...So here I am with the not so new sim. I realize that it's a basic platform which can only be brought to its full potential with the great addons made by the FLY! community.To do that, I need some answers.1. I have the European version-2.0.197. I understand I need the patch 4 to bring it up to 250. Then do I need the final patch, or should I not bother if FLY runs wll on the 250?2. Does anyone has problem with the Kodiak's Auto pilot? The aircraft is acting weird like it's rocks itself up and down whenever I engage the auto pilot. And when I view it from the outside I noticed that the elevetor is in constant up and down motion. I tried to trim before engaging the A/P I got the same result. Any suggestion or I'm missing a fix for this problemThankschris

I have just joined ivao.org's membership. It appears that they are not used as much as vatsim's servers. There are two servers in the US and others all over the globe. There are multiple Roger Wilco servers also set up. How many fellow Fly2ers would be willing to meet on thier servers some time for a fly in or such? We could choose a not so busy airport with scenery avalible for d/l here, that way we all have the same scenery.I really miss flying with others online. We are missing out on a major feature! Look forward to your comments.

Have loaded Steve's EGCC and get the following message:Unable to load aircraft model:HS 125 MED.acmFile: AMODEL, CPPLine 226I have Biberall pod and terramodel texture POD in shared scenery.I have tried placing the EGCC files in the FlyII scenery folder and also a Manchester subfolder containing the country scenery but still get the same message.What have I done wrong?Thanks for any help,:-beerchug

that FSImport has to be one of the coolest flight sim freeware applications I have ever seen. It completely ranks up there with Terrascene, Terramodels, Sky! for Fly!2k and everything the ROTW team has produced. FSI is simply amazing. I have dozens and dozens of add on ports for FS2k2, most of them in Alaska and Canada. Until recently, 99% of my bush flying has been in FS2k2, but now, with FSI, I have more then 50 bush sceneries in my beloved Fly!II world. I am such a happy flyer.Thanks so much to everyone who is helping make Fly! the most sim it can be.Pieter.

I'm connected to multiplayer however everytime I try to find a pilot or just type "*" in the blank window (which I usually did before the multiplayer was still very active during Fly's heyday and I can see all who's online)now I got this response window (see attached).Does anybody have the same issue?chrisrpll

HelloAfter installing the scenery i get missing models errors(Msg: C3DModel::load - Can't open : B737-AP.SMF File: SMODEL.CPP line 3701 )B737-AP.SMFPA28LM.SMFTBMALAT.SMF... ( im sure there are more. I replaced the first 2 with a model from biberall but getting similar models with the same length filename isnt that easy ;-) )Anyone knows where i can download them or what i need to have installed?Thank you for your helpkind regardsAndy

Hello i want to update the waypoints with those used mainly around swiss airports for the various sid/stars etc. But since the text files have only the waypoint name and the coordinates, will it cause problems with the remaining fieldsespecially (Country, State, Magnetic Variation) remaining empty?How important are the fields "Type" and "Usage"? Can someone tell me how these UI are used? The read me file barely makes mention, and I have yet to figure out. I was hoping it would control the number of dynamic planes that one finds at an airport. Regardless of FLY.ini settings( number of default models or dynamic models), only one dynamic models usually appears at an airport. How does one get more to appear?tony

I can not get FSImp V1.03 To create scenery. I have downloaded the sdk to get the BGLZIP.EXE Now that i found that path and it is working right , What else, do I need to do to get this program to work, And how ,and What button do i push first before rendering scenery. Second Question;How and what button do i start the scenery. How would i start the scenery in the first place ?How would i save the file to be imported into Fly! Does anyone know if there is a way to save the weight configuration? I don't want four people in the plane with me, each time Fly2 boots up I have to re-config it. Thanks.
