Hi guys,I'm having a 'simple' issue I'm not able sort out by myself and need your help.Somehow I managed to create a scenery in TS 2.1 (and ArcExplorer) covering a quarter tile (sort of). Now I have plenty of dark green ground around my airports and can't change the tile texture. Can't get rid of that as I can't locate the POD or other files created. I tried the texture switching utility Ground Tile Transform (entered global and ground tile) but it didn't take any effect. Any idea how to go back (or switch) to the great ground textures by ROTW?There may be a post on this somewhere so it's fine just to point me there.And, the TS job is wrong anyway, as a river is not visib…

There was a request from TonyC to have a few airports for reference so I made a sort of map. It shows the area covered by the new elevations uploaded this weekend and the approximate location of airports. Note that many of the ICAO codes are listed in Fly! only as PA or not listed at all, so search on the names rather than the codes. Hope this helps, there's lots to discover.Don

There appears to be a problem when creating scenery for several airports that use the same folder. While creating scenery for LAX I found that scenery had already been created for VNY, SMO and TOA. All the scenery files were named SCENERYB and were in the Fly/Data directory and folder 171153. This becomes a problem when placing dynamic vehicles at the airports. Since they all have the same scenery file only one of the airports will have moving vehicles. The way to solve this would be to change the SCENERYB file to another name, such as SCENERYBvny.s11, SCENERYBsmo.s11 etc. By doing this the vehicles will move at each of the airports. For some reason I can no longer get the comms window to show up. (The one that shows when you press the ' key.)I can get the Auto-tune window (CTRL+') to show, which correctly tunes the frequency. But when I press ', to speak to ATC, no popup shows, thus I cant really say anything to them. I Checked and when I tune atis, it does scroll across the top. So the comms do appear to be working, I just am mute! I've also checked to ensure ' is assigned to the comms window in keyboard settings.If anyone could shed some light I'd appreciate it.Brad

Hi,I have tried searching this forum but for whatever reason the search does not seem to work.I have recently installed FLY!2 and all it patches, I have just tried to plan a flight using the flight planner, but when I hit generate route it just crashes to the desktop.Anyone know why this is?Thanks in advanceDan.

Could some kind soul explain to me what the heck this does, on the turboprops?I have basically no clue. I jam it forward to 100% before I take off, and haul it back to 55% while idling on the tarmac. Is that right? It seems to have something to do with fuel consumption, but I'm not sure I quite get the relationship between this, and the throttle.(I do basically understand mixture on piston engines, running a little ROP, etc).I tried to google for a good explanation, but came up empty.John/madmax

Hi All,I enjoy Fly!2 very much. And since I live in the netherlands I would like to use a free airport scenery from FS2002 (Schiphol eham). I found out already the existance of FSimport. Now my question is:Is it possible to use FSimport (I have 1.03) without an installed FS2002, and ofcourse if so, does anyone here know what to do.Cheers ;-)Ben

Sometimes it seems I'm working on so many projects that I forget to fly, so I forced myself to get some "airtime" in. With the Screenshot forum down for the count right now, I thought I's share these shots here. Greetings and salutations everyone,I'm recently back into the FlyII scene (finally got a system that can handle it). I had to reinstall everything from scratch, patched to the latest and greatest and everything works great.My dilemma is this.... I downloaded and istalled ATCsynth version 1.3 and moved the appropriate files to the appropriate folders. D/L Microsoft SAPI 4.0 and the TTS engine with British English voices and installed them. I have no conflicting scripts that I know of. I deactivated the Fly ATC per the instructions but when I tune a frequency (ATIS or otherwise) I get no voices. The documentation stated something about customized ATCsynth.ini files ("....i.…

Fellow Fly!ers:Last night I stumbled across a great site that sells all sorts of aircraft manuals, mainly military but they also have some for commercial aircraft. Among the commercial aircraft I could find the 707, 727, 737, A300, DC-10 and a couple more. They have them both on CD and hardcopy. I think all CDs are at $19.95Guess what, they have flight manual for several versions of the P-51 Mustang!!! Hi Everyone, Does anyone know how the runway textures are created in FLYII and where or how I can search for them in FLYII. I created NEW Runway and Taxiway textures in FLY2k and want to use them in FLYII, however the Taxiway textures are fine and show up in FLYII once placed in the ARTS folder, but the Runway texture does not??? (BOTH files have been converted to Tiff format).Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers John

Please, don't laugh when you read this post. I bought my FLY! II simulator yesterday and I am a newbie in simulations like that. I have a problem with radio communication. Suppose I would like to communicate with the control tower before I start. I tune the radio to the proper frequency and... nothing happens. I suppose I should call them out somehow but I don't know how. There is nothing about it in the manual. Please help !!!
