I am having difficulty assigning AXES with FSUIPC. Rather than trying to solve that I simply want to disable the ability of FSUIPC from controlling any axis. I do the rescan, more than once to clear the values, and move the target axis. Then click Ignore Axis. I look at FSX and the axis still moves. Try the same thing but click OK on FSUIPC and still the axis moves. All axis settings in FSX are clear so only FSUIPC should be controlling them. At this stage I just want to stop all FSUIPC handling of any axis but the Ignore thing does not seem to work???

My turbine duke vc doesn't seem to look like its hi-res. It looks a little low res. Has anyone had this issue?

  4. I have conflicts in some payware airports installed ontop of MegaSceneryX (SoCal) and MegaSceneryEarth. I have ADE, AFX and some other programs that I believe can fix this. What are the principal steps to fix it? I'd appreciate your advise or links to the tutorials. (Honestly I forgot myself) Thanks, Dirk.

  5. Hi, I decided to get more familiar with the Garmin 1000 in the Cessna 172 as well as the plane, and noticed that the digital clock at the lower right of the PFD doesn't keep accurate time. The minutes don't advance until the seconds reach 30, and at about 40 minutes after the hour, the hour advances by one whole hour without crossing any time zone boundary. Also, I can't seem to get the taxi light to work and the battery and alternator red switches don't have clickspots in the 2D panel. I can only get them to work with in 3D panel. Has anyone else noticed these problems and are there any solutions? Thanks. Tom

Hi all, I just picked up the Milviz C310 and have been trying to get some rules of thumb for approach and landing. Looking at the real world forums it seems that those pilots are all over the map...anywhere from 120 to 80 KIAS on final! Can any of you share *your* techniques for VFR pattern and/or instrument final? It'd be a big help and give me a boost on getting started with this aircraft!! Gregg

I am looking for a good chart to put on my wall. Basically something that helps me figure out what airports to fly to, and hopefully add some critical information. I use Plan-G, but having a map on the wall is pretty cool (and it beats white paint!). North America would be my map of choice. Any ideas? Edit: Changed map to chart!

Is there a way to use the Traffic Explorer and map to view only boat traffic? I have read the SDK and have tried to view the boat traffic with no luck. If it is possible, will it show the identity of the boat like it does for aircraft? In the Explorer, for aircraft, we can click on the aircraft line in the Explorer and actually view the aircraft in it's present state like taxiing, takeoff, sleep, etc. Can this be done for boat traffic? Thanks, Bob.

  9. I've been looking but haven't found much for this. Is there anything that can be done to fix the giant halo lights coming from city buildings and some aircraft? Here's an example: On the ground, it looks like a forest fire in the distance because the halos are so big. I was able to correct the runway/taxi lights following some suggestions found (using a new halo file and some cfg changes) but haven't found anything specific to scenery items. Anything that can be done? Thanks!

Yesterday I pondered about a new aircraft for my hangar, I more or less felt like a little retail therapy to be honest. So off the back of reading a few opinions about the Carenado Commander, I decided to part with some dosh. Hmm, I thought after installing... something is missing. But no, everything is there. Ezdok works, LINDA works fine... sounds not too bad, but hey what is it? I don't know, I cannot fathom it at all. In fact I have the same feeling of emptyness with virtually all my Carenado planes. Now don't get me wrong, I know they are a very popular producer of aircraft and very competent, but for some reason, something is missing and I don't know what. Now, all …

@Word Not Allowed, I read another post about actually measuring stutter with FRAPS and then plotting the results with an Excel spreadsheet and I think that is very useful. It helps you see the stutters and you can count them or process them in a way that you can make repeatable tests when varying FSX.cfg or hardware or P3D - whatever. The poster defined a stutter as when the interval from the current frame compared to that of the last frame differed by more than 10 milliseconds. That's a great start but I think it is a little worse than that and you should look over three frames. Anyway, I include links to an example XLS format spreadsheet file that charts the stutters …

Hey guys, I am currently in the process of flying GA flights within the USA. At some point I want to expand out to the larger airports further away. I only have a couple of hours to fly at any given time, so being able to save everything so I can continue the flight later is critical. I think I read somewhere that some planes have limitations on that? In any case, here are the planes I have. Carenado Mooney Carenado C340 RealAir Duke (both models) RealAir Legacy Citation Mustang PMDG MD-11 So far I haven't spent any real time in the MD-11. What in your opinion would be a good progression? I was thinking of doing the following... Focus on navigation an…

Talking about a nice CLEAN re-install, one could also consider checking one's .NET installations BEFORE re-installing P3D (or FSX). It has been my experience that a large number of the issues that users have had with running FSX and P3D, has been associated with corrupted .NET installations. (Note: Sometimes, even uninstalling, and re-installing a given .NET version, does not correctly re-instally that version, if certain files are already missing on the computer) An ideal tool would be something that checked to see what .net versions you had installed, and then checked that all that version's files were present and correct, and then run a simple .…

Hi, I've just gotten a new graphics card, the very capable Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti. I haven't upgraded to a new graphic card in several years so it's a bit hard to explain... There is an ugly fade-effect applied to the autogen trees in FSX. It only happens to those trees that has vertical textures to make the roof of forests seem more dense. The problem is that this creates an ugly light green line as these parts of the trees fades in. Here's a picture that might explain it better: Basically are there any setting in the nvidia control panel or fsx.cfg files that disables this fade-in effect to a portion of the tree-object? Note: I don't think t…

Hi all, We have all this cool software and airplanes with VC cockpits and it's very immersive most of the time but I am having a problem with GUMPS. It's a little different on every airplane but similar too. As an example, I'm flying the C310 at the moment and trying to efficiently do a GUMPPS check. (I've had the same problems in other excellent aircraft too.) In a real C310, according to what I've been learning, you do the following: 1) Gas: glance between the seats (or just quickly feel) and make sure the main tanks are selected. If not, reach down and change them. 2) Undercarriage: reach up and push the gear handle down and keep your hand on the handle…

  21. I'm planning on purchasing a couple of add-on's this week and I'd like some opinions on them, preferable from those who have them. Planned purchases are: Orbx US Central Rockies Flight 1 Pilatus PC12 - Are there better single-engine turboprops for FSX on the market? I'm looking for an add-on that is of the same quality as those from RealAir PDMG 737NGX - Is this a good idea now or wait for their 777?

Having DL the Manuals (http://www.coolsky.no/index.php/the-news/299-dc-9-classic-manuals)and skip read them both all I can say is, this looks like one special addon aircraft with things not even PMDG have. Bird strike on take off or landing is just one of countless things you can set up. As for getting to use the DC-9 look at this "Training"http://www.coolsky.no/index.php/the-news/303-dc-9-classic-training How easy is that? Anyone got any idea how long the wait will be because I think this is now top of my wish list.
