Hi guys, I recently did a complete reinstall of FSX and since the new installation, the text on my GNS 530 will not work. I have tested it in a few of my aircraft, the Carenado 337 and the Centurion T210M, and this is what it looks like. I have looked at the guage and panel files themselves, and the actually text is not a texture or anything, and all the aircraft I have tested use different files, which leads me to believe the issue is not with my aircraft but FSX itself. Has anyone experienced this issue before? Thank you for all your help. And yes, I did purchase the aircraft, they worked great prior to my reinstall, and I am at my wits end here! I have …

Hi guys! Just want to let you know that the product page for the new B55 has more (beautiful and mouth watering) pics now and a big "Buy Now" button. The site still states "product is not for sale yet!" but it looks as if we were pretty close, my plastic card is more than ready!

Hi All A quick question. I was trying to uninstall the Iris Pro F-14 last night but I could not find any options for that. I also checked in the control panel under "uninstall a program" but there was no listing there either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards

I'm hoping someone can help me with the little nuisance. I was flying a mission in FSX and saved the mission as I had not complete it. Now, whenever I go into free flight and just create a flight, FSX seems to always consider it a mission and since I didn't land at a particular airport it is considered a 'mission failure'. This happens even when I load a previously saved 'free flight'. Does anyone know why this happens? tks!

Hi all, I am looking for a general book on fly simming with Jets, and I came across this: http://www.topskills.com/fsbooks_jets.htm I googled the title and author for a review and found nothing. If someone has read it could you please comment? Is it worthwhile? Or if you have suggestion on book or something to begin, I would appreciate it. Much of the complex jet add-on shows how to in tutorials flight and they are specific, I can follow the tutorials and doing the flight, but I feel like I am missing something. Thanks

I was looking at some files accumulated over time and came across David "Opa" Marshall's document "Reducing Vehicle Traffic Speed in FSX". I had forgotten how much more realistic it looks when the highway traffic speed is reduced a bit! If you haven't already, give it a try. (just search for "slowtraffic.zip" in the AVSIM Library).

What is the problem with ENB ?! If i look down, the textures look very good. If i look anywhere else, the textures become milky, hazy... This happens only with ENB activated. Is there a fix for it ?

Hey guys I am thinking about getting the Eaglesoft Citation X Extreme v2.0 to compliment the F1 Mustang I have. I need something a bit faster, since I have limited flying time. How is it? I have read bad things about the VC. Is it up to snuff now?

  13. This has probably been covered before but since I am new to the Simming world, I thought I would ask. I am Private Pilot and I own my aircraft. Unfortunately the weather in the UK means that I can easily go weeks without being airbourne and so I am looking for a hobby that will compliment my flying. I intend to buy a high spec system (Intel I7 4.8Ghz with Nvidia GeForce GTX 680) and load in with all the add-ons and scenery packs I've seen recommended on the internet (REX, GEX, AccuFeel, EzDock Camera, UTX, some ORBX scenery packs, UK2000, Horrizon Scenery, Ultimate Traffic, GTX, Treescape and Shawbury Fields plus some Carenado Payware and some Just Flight Payware.…

I was going to post this the day Neil passed away but got side tracked packing for the Florida move. I was going through some of my Dad's stuff, and found a signed personalized photograph to my Dad from Neil. My Dad was a speaker as well as Neil at a Motorola Convention in 1973. The photo is of Neil in a suit with the flag behind him. Neil said on the photo "Norm, It was a pleasure meeting with you at the 1973 convention, Best of Luck! Neil Armstrong" I was blown away with this, and to top it off I found it on the day Neil passed. Wow. I will give you 3 guesses where I am going to hang it? Regards Bob

I am having a problem with FSX aircraft "jumping" whilst static on the ground, in any view, the plane intermittently jumps up and down and I get what sounds like a tyre screetch noise! Any ideas what causes this and is there a fix ? Any help appreciated, Thanks. Buster.

After weeks of reading posts and reviews of the PMDG 737-NGX, I took the plunge and bought it. I should have known something was different with this add-on when the download file is over 600mb :o . I was also concerned when the manual recommended installing FSX in its own directory. I have FSX installed in its default location and frankly have no intention of re-installing it as well as a bunch of other add-on's just to run one plane regardless of how good it is so I ran the install as an admin, crossed my fingers, and hoped for the best. The install was pretty painless until I started FSX and was asked for an "Activation Code". That was another ##### moment as I can'…

Cessna offers a large variety of small monoprop aircraft, well reflected in the Flight1 and Carenado lines (152,162,172, 182, 185, 210). More 172s are to come from RA and A2A. They kind of all look alike  ! I wonder whether there is so much differences, noticeable differences I should say, in flying them in FSX knowing that the maintenance and flying cost parameters are off the board , except that some are a little faster? Assuming of course that the FDE is reasonably accurate. And in real life. ?

  21. Hello, since the S-Turn-problems with PMDG-Planes are well known, some questions come to my mind on how FSUIPC works with weather engines such as Active Sky series. For example: to solve the s-turn-issue we are advised to suppress wind turbulence, gusts and variance in FSUIPC. Active Sky also provides a slider where wind turbulence maximum strengh can be set. I have read that AS uses Simconnect and not FSUIPC, so I am a bit confused about how they work together: for example: does deactivating wind turbulence effects in FSUIPC suppress ALL wind turbulence effects in FSX weather or only the ones simulated by FSUIPC? I know that turbulence effects are still there whe…

Am losing my sanity... I was running FSX with a 955BE CPU (not overclocked), GTX460, and 8G DDR2 RAM....never had any stutters, just some shimmering that I could live with, using NVIDIA INSPECTOR. I upgraded to an i53470 with 8G DDR3 RAM and the same GPU, but my FSX has been slowly getting worse, not better! I noticed the microstutters a lot of people were talking about....I always run with the Bojote tweaks, so I did nothing different in that respect, except install Air Display. Last night I did a Vatsim flight, stock FSX airports, and ngiht scenery, and the whole thing was a slide show!!! FPS in the cruise would go from 30 down to 9 and back up again co…
