Hi guys Having problems with the tutorials training in FSX, in that each time a training flight starts, it is zoomed in soooo far, I cant see any of the instruments in the cockpit, and I have to switch the view to virtual cockpit as it wont let me look down using the hat switch on my Saitek yoke... Really really annoying, especially as I'm trying to fly the landing tutorials, and as fast as the instructor flight starts, by the time I have zoomed out all the way, and switched to VC mode, it ends the flight because it says "This flight isnt going so well, so we will end it here" Arghhhh.. Its not going so well because I cant bloomin see the RPM's, airspeed, flap…

I purhcased this bird earlier this week, installed, and tried to load. In both the Free Flight screen selecting it, and selecting it within the sim itself, it caused FSX to crash. No error report, nothing. Just a restart of FSX. I send an email to their support address, and their response was that I should reinstall FSX. That is not going to happen. Anybody encounter this and does anyone have a fix?

I need to a payware KSFO scenery and unfortunately I couldn't find comparisons between Mega Airport San Francisco and Flightbeam's KSFO. What are the cons and pros of the both? I'd appreciate your opinions and remarks. (I've seen the review of Flightbeam's KSFO by avsim). Thanks, Dirk.

Hi, When I launch FRAPS to take screen shot it KILLS my FPS....Why is that?? Whats another tool to take Screen shots?

Hi Guys, I find the gamma too bright in FSX, colours look a little washed out in the daytime. Is there anything I can adjust in the FSX.cfg? Either gamma or saturation would be good. I don't think it's my monitor because when I look at screenshots or videos I've made it looks ok, just in FSX it could look better like my other sims. I use an ATI card so I can't do any of those NVidia tweaks, and the ATI profiles don't have any gamma adjustments available. thanks

TrackIR Before using the interface you MUST 'Check For Game Updates' within your TrackIR5 and ensure OpusFSX is listed in Titles under the Advanced Settings tab. Stop and restart TrackIR. I have try Shader 3.0 MOD for window vista an never had this problem am having now. The problem am having is that at night the waves seem to bright an not so realistic . Also waves doesn't seem to be moving. I don't know if this is due to the fact that am using ENB MOD plugin . But i wish i can take screenshot of the wave animation when using Shader 3.0 MOD with ENB MOD Plugin.But am not at home right now. Am about to remove shader 3.0 MOD but i just want to see if anyone can help me with this issue before i delete it.

I've been using WideView and WideTraffic for quite a while and am moderately happy with it -- only "moderately" because it does only a fair job at synchronizing weather between the server and clients (I have a four-PC setup). I'm quite interested in seeing what OpusFSX will do, but need to know one critical thing that I can't find in the product description -- does the product synchronize traffic between the server and the clients (the way WideTraffic does)? This is critical for my setup because I fly almost exclusively on the PilotEdge network and not being able to see traffic when it moves from my front displays to my side displays is a non-starter for me. loaded and reloaded PousFsx but it never downloads the metars,,,, tiday anyway FSX is in BC, Canada update I am now getting the regular flush of info on the spy panel using beta 2.2 actually I am not getting metarsr again Now nobody is reading these posts

Hey AVSIM Community, Im having a problem that has never happened before.. FSX Wont reinstall. So i decided to freshly install FSX Again. At the second bar of the Installation, it says its downloading one Scenery File. Next thing you know, i wait about 20 Minutes and it still doesnt load up. This has never happened before, And then i open task manager, it says the installation is working perfectly well... Any ideas? And i also did a full reinstall of Windows 7 Ultimate, Still same problem.

I was wondering about turning crash detection on. Up until now I haven't because I remember in FS9 there were issues with invisible runway incursions that could bring a long flight to a frustrating and unhappy end. How is the default scenery in this regard, and do most airport addons address this?

Hi All, I've recently had to reinstall FSX due to a hard drive crash. There are times when I want to set a different time for my flight than the system time. The problem is when I set a different time than system time what happens is a few minutes after I set the time FS reverts to system time. I had it well set up in my original install but have forgotten how to now (senior moment LOL). Ed Kammerman

Hi would like to know how you guys keep track of all the payware airport you guys have? I myself have a lot of payware airports that i have bought but sometimes i even forget i have them . Because i bought so many sometime it is hard to keep track an i came to notice the other day that i had few payware airports that i haven't even visit yet. What are some of the ways to best keep track of your payware scenery or airport?

Hi All I downloaded and installed the just released JustFlight F-111 and while the model looks great (especially the RAAF liveries), the sound in my opinion is a big diasppointment. I am no F-111 expert, but surely those Pratt & Whitneys should sound a lot more "awsome" than what is presented in the initial release. Another think I noticed is that if I want to taxi from a standing start, I have to jam the throttles to around 50% before the jet begins to roll. Once it does, it accelerates far too quickly and before I know it I am taxiing way too fast. If I bring back the throttles just a bit (and I really mean just a bit) the engines go to idle and the …

Hey guys, came here to find someone, who wanna learn smth from a real pilot, which is me Lets face is, my interest is english practice, so, the requirements are: u have to know at least basics, better if you fly something like PMDG NGX, u have to be american, i barely understand british speech, so.. this is it. You can share your screen on skype or tiemviewer, fly the airplane and get advices, or just call and ask for something, doesn't matter, maybe you have better ideas about how to cooperate. My engl level is good enough to talk fast and clear, so it wont be a problem, just need some practice. Oh yes, i fly 737 800/400. Cheers.

I was considering jumping into REX Essential.. I'm not seeing enough info on a couple of points though. From what it looks like, it no longer auto starts when FSX starts.. So does this mean that if you want rex weather downloading, you must use a batch file and launch the app then launch fsx.. (or always launch REX then launch fsx from within REX (not ideal))? Secondarily, I dont see any information out there that indicates if REX Essentials can be run on a second machine (laptop) then have fsx running on the main via simconnect as with REX 2.. Does anyone know these answers or how to go about them? Thanks in advance.
