Hi I have bought the yoke and quadrant as a kit and installed it on my pc over the weekend. I am having a couple of issues with the quadrant as follows which is spoiling my enjoyment and i would like to resolve them if possible: I am trying to use the left hand lever (with the black knob) as a throttle but whenever I push it up (slowly) nothing happens until I get to about the 75 mark and then the engines shoot upto 100% thrust – if I then move the lever down a fraction the engines go right back down again – I cannot seem to get a gentle increase on the throttle by moving the levers up slowly. I asked this question in another thread, but haven't gotten any responses, so I thought I'd start fresh. I like the textures from REX, but I'm not happy with the weather engine, even though improved by Essential. So, I'm thinking I'll get Active Sky, if only to have similar weather to those I fly online with who use it. I'd prefer to just get Evolution, as I only want the weather engine. If I do, will I be missing out on improvements to the weather engine that are in AS2012 but not Evolution? I've looked at their website, but can't find an answer. Anyone who has had both care to comment?

I've upgraded my networked simulator set to include 5 PCs driving displays at 0 degrees (straight ahead), 30 degrees left and right, and 90 degrees left and right. I'm finding it impossible to get the +/- 30 degree views to even vaguely align. I thought it would be a relatively simple process by ensuring the same aircraft was loaded on all systems, ensuring the zoom factor was set the same on all cameras, then simply yawing the displays to the appropriate value (-90, -30, 0, +30, +90), but that doesn't produce even a vaguely correct result -- the +/- 30 degree views are even close to aligned. Ok something weird is happening with my FSX. When I fly at Night and set Visibility to 10nm, it's looks normal...10 nm vis, then when I set it to 5 at night everything all of a sudden gets brighter, like the fog is almost white and I can see clouds through it that are white! i dont know what to do, it looks awful. I was going to upload a screenshot but I dont now what interent image host to use. Can someone please set there vis to so 5-4km at night and post a screen shot so I can compare. It's not AS2012 or REX ess because it does it with both, I've tried different Nvidia options and I've pretty much done everthing! HELP!!! Cheers

I have read numerous posts and advice about scenery files and file order, however, I still have not read one that details the way to lay out FSX scenery files in a consistent order. I was lead to believe (rightly or wrongly) that AFD files need to be at the very top of the list in the scenery folder - here is where my confusion begins. In my scenery settings I have 3 different AFD files - The first and top of my scenery list is Aerosoft AFD, this is then followed by about 30 listings for various airport add ons - Mega scenery, German Airports etc. until I get down to position 32 where I have another file called "afd" (small case) directly below that, in position 3…

Hi everyone , I recently built a new pc for fsx , i7 3770 ivy bridge professionally overclocked from 3.6 to 4.5 ghz , 16 gig of 1866 ram , 240 gig ssd , 600 gig vrap drive for fsx & all scenery packages. I also got my gpu changed under warranty as it was starting to fail , I had a powercolor hd 5870 , I got a msi 6970 twin frozr as a replacement , even with all this hardware my photo scenery is still going blurry , not all the time but not as good as what I have had it in the past on my amd quad core 955 be @ 3.8 ghz & the 5870 card, all traffic tabs be it airport , boats , ai aircraft are all down set low ,I tried bojotes tweak tool & it adds a real bad shi…

I have experienced quite a few Out of Memory errors recently (even on short flights), and they are starting to annoy me. This is when approaching dense scenery areas. Sometimes I can just about get away with it if the flight is extremely short (maybe 20 miles or less), but what's the point of that? I do not understand why this is happening so frequently on my Windows 7 64bit/i5 2500k @ 4.3Ghz/8GB RAM/1GB GeForce GTX 560Ti powered system, even though I run FSX at very high detail levels. Hi, This is probably the wrong forum so sorry if it is. Does anyone know what line in the FSX aircraft file Kacars reads to determine the aircraft type. If I wanted Kacars to see a B377 as a B727 what line would I change in the B377 folder and which file? Thanks

I am considering buying PMDG 737 ans have been watching various tuitorials in relation to flying the plane using the FMC. Now I use Pro Flight Emulator and also FS Build which can export the flighplan direct to the PMDG 737 FMC. I haven seen any tutorial videos with this particular aircraft whereby ATC is being used. My question therefore is whether or not the PFE ATC would be in sync with the FMC as the flight plan contained within the FMC would have differing flight levels along the waypoints together with different speeds. I apologise if the answer is obvious but i just want to get it right in my own mind. I thank you in anticipation.

Hello. I'm having problems with cirrus clouds. Very often there are more than one cirrus layer with the same texture. Not only it looks really bad, but at some altitudes it appears blurry and hurt my eyes. Doesn't matter if I run some external weather application or not, if I set real time weather or theme. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes there are even 3 same layers with few hundred feet separation. See picture:

The spot view in FSX rotates in the opposite direction from the cockpit view. This is especially annoying when using the TrackIR. How can I revert the horizontal rotation of spot view so that if I look to the right, the view rotates towards the right, rather than towards the left? Thanks!

Hello, I have searched using google and I have found some good info on GEX Nhanced for FSX, however I use an awesome program called FSPS Xtreme FSX PC. This program not only gives me 30% better frames but makes FSX look awesome as well. In the textures settings of the program I have it set to Texture Size (in pixels) 4096 where as FSX internal allows only up to 1024, and for image pixels autogen i have it set to 2048x2048 precision at .5m... this is all using FSX default textures and REX 2.0 Overdrive for environment. FSX looks awesome with this however will GEX Nhanced work with these "forced" settings or am I better off using what I am now and saving money. Please note …

Hey guys, I tried to set up a DX10 profile a few days ago, and since switching back to my (relatively) stable DX9 setup with 4096 max TML, I have one nagging issue. no, this isn't something about the Coolsky DC-9, just the general pixelation of the overhead text and the pixelation of the red text in their respective corners. I have this problem with a few other aircraft, the A2A Mustang's exterior model text being blurry, some NGX textures will load blurry, etc. Now, I was thinking of deleting FSX.cfg and seeing what happened, but is there some advice to consider before doing that? thanks,

Last night I tried to do a simple 72nm flight with all the procedures involved(cold/dark, startup, warmup, loading passengers, atc, taxi, wait for traffic, etc)(which I'm sure I'm still probably not totally following properly), it took almost an hour and half. So I bought this program and for the life of me I can not figure out how the mission system is suppose to work. I've read the online Help about 10 times and still don't understand. So I load up a major airport and only see like 4 planes at terminals. If I look at the AI plane list (see pic below) there are TONS of planes but most are flying and well out of view. Setting the traffic slider to maximum helps a little but airports are still very barren. How can I remove the planes in the air and put many of them at terminals in the airport?
