This is weird - I posted this same question yesterday but it seems to have completely disappeared. Anyway: I have four networked OpusFSX clients with LiveView enabled. The displayed view on all of them, to some degree, lag behind the server. The lag may be nearly negligible, or may be as long as 3-4 seconds. Once a client starts to lag, it consistently stays lagged (i.e. a quarter-second lag stays that long; a 2 second lag stays that long) as long as I run the simulation session. The lag is present from startup forward. Each time I start FSX on the clients and then the FSXCLIENT.EXE app, the amount of lag I get on each client is not consistent from one sim sessi…

So I'm using the older Catalina X and there is no GPS. So no handy moving map to show you where you are. I can follow a heading but one can still be miles off course left or right. Not to mention have no way to see how far you are from the airport since its just water...everywhere, you can't see the actual runway. Smaller water airports have no building, dock or anything to stand out and take notice to indicate the water airport is 'here'. I guess my base question is how do you navigate to and find simple basic waterways?

I hope this is not a stupid question but since 2 days i face a problem when on the ground. I am unable to make a tight turn e.g. to the gate or if i have to turn on the runway like in TNCM. I use FSX checked all settings but do not find any solution.... if someone can help would be very much appreciated thanks for your support and have a great day Werner

I have FSX and yesterday received the GENX DVD for North America. Installed OK. Updated to latest version (1.095 if memory serves) then I flew a flight that I fly often enough (almost 10 hours for the 10' flight from CYRP to CYRO For this route I fly over the city of Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) but the only difference I noted in the scenery was that there were more trees and better defined vegetation. No recognizable City view. Did I just throw some good money away? I also received but have not installed yet, the Africa & Middle East GEN X but have not installed it yet. I want to fly around the Pyramids and hope that GEN X can show me better detai…

The previous related topic is now rather aged, so I re-open it for the following reason : 1) the Duke Turbine Sound package files v1.2 works pretty fine with FSX, thanks to JB the dev ; 2) I just made the Duke Turbine migration to Prepar3D, and it went pretty fine ; 3) I tried to re-install the Sound package v1.2 as per the readme and the illustration.jpg provided with the sound package v1.2. Has anyone had any experience using "SupportMyFS", which is a professional flight simulator techsupport? It looks like you can either "chat", call on the phone or even have them connect with your computer remotely. I have had OOMs and was thinking of getting them to help with the problem. Hi fellow simmers, I have a little problem that would like to resolve. I downloaded some freeware scenery for Cuba and in the readme that came with the archives it said that the MUHA v.5 for fs9 in the file library could be used in FSX because it was compatible. I put the scenery in /addon scenery/ and when i tried to load a flight anywhere in MUHA, i got this alert saying "Starting in a location in which your aircraft will collide with other objects" I researched online for errors like that and found this thread with the same error however his events are not the same as mine. I've been confused on this one for some time so I figured i'd put this out there. For starters... if you already have say parts of FTX AU and FTX PNW installed.. and you are moving on to install other scenery areas like say Aerosoft Chicago X or MegaSceneryX California, Aspen X etc.. Do you always set the FTX Central to Default FSX or problems will occur? Secondly.. if you aren't flying in an FTX region say Chicago, should you first exit fsx and switch to Default FSX in FTX Central? What about a region that may or may not be outside of FTX (aspen or colorado if you have the CRM installed for instance).. Would a situation like this, if it mapped 1 to 1 example: …

Just trying to get oriented in the GPS for flight planning & VOR navigation. One thing I have noticed is when the GPS is one the NAV chapter, there are only 2 pages (the basic first page and the map page). The "real" Garmins have 7 pages while in NAV mode. Am I missing something or has Microsoft taken a short cut and not simulated the other pages. There is some really good info on the other 5 pages, but obviously you can't read them if they are not there. Appreciate any feedback you care to render. Thanks! Keith

I just got around to loading acceleration, don't ask why, and it made me uninstall sp2. Should I reload it now, or was it part of Acceleration? Thanks Rick S.

Have a look at the latest photos of work in progress. The cabin is gorgeous and you can take a distant peek at the panel. I take so much pleasure flying the C90. This will double the fun !!!

I'm trying to set up my "forward view" client with a virtual cockpit of a C-172 so I can set the camera just at the windscreen and see the nose of the aircraft. This works nicely, but the prop isn't animated spinning -- it's there, but it's stopped. Kinda disconcerting :-) This may not be an OpusFSX issue at all, but I'm curious if anybody knows how to get the prop to animate on a client view of an aircraft? -M.

I've been working on a rebuild and may have run into an issue... When i have FTX Central set to North America.. i noticed in the scenery library that it appears all Australia related ftx items are still there.. when i set it to Australia.. i noticed that the North america region is still in the library listing (PNW etc).. The library count is the same on both as well.. I also dont see a generic orbx library entry.. i ran the latest library installer, but it only appears under FTX_AU\ library located here Shouldn't toggling one or the other disable the other portions, or did i just never notice this before? Hey there, I installed the FSC 9.2 version on my PC. Today I created a new route.. when I click "save as" and press paths, it shows: FSX flight plan folder unspecified! Choose < Flight Simulator X Files > manually. When I go out of FSC and try to open the flight plan in FSX it doesn't load. So I find it but it doesn't load.. What is it? Hi, I have tried to alter some camera configurations, mainly the initial zoom from the default 1 to 0.80. However, each time I go to fly, the camera configs. remain as default. Could anyone please help. Thanks Barry

Hi all, I am considering purchasing this as it seems to address a lot of the shortcomings that are annoying me with AS2012 at the moment namely flashing during updates and the resultant stuttering as metars are slowly loaded in. I just wanted to know if there are any visual issues when Opus loads new weather into the sim periodically i.e. clouds changing positions or disappearing suddenly as this is a problem with AS2012 that annoys me. It kills the immersion factor (the suppression and range features in the Standard Mode of AS2012 don't seem to work for me). If the weather presented by Opus is smooth and consistent I will very likely buy.
