Hey guys I have (2) Towers and probably other things at KSNA John Wayne Airport. I have the MK.Studios KSNA for FSX which I am currently using, and an older afcad of KSNA which I thought I completely removed. Apparently there is a file hiding somewhere, is there a tool I could use to scan for this? Would anybody perhaps know the common folder locations where duplicate AFCADS are likely to exist?

Hello, I need some help. I had to reset my fsx cfg due to some problems I had. I set up cfg and nvidia inspector / fsx settings to per Kostas guide.I have done 4 test flights at various airports KSFO,KPHX, KRNO,KLAS and at airports my FPS is 25 to 30 but 30 seconds after take off they drop to 10 or less. I landed at same airport i took off from and without reloading flight taxied back to same runway and took off again and the FPS was at 25 + this time. This happened at all the airports I tried. Landing at all airports is fine its just the first takeoff that's a problem. I attached my fsx.cfg file if needed. I,m using Pmdg ngx, Rex essentials, Ultimate traffic 2. Thanks …

As a new user/installer to FSX I think that I need to download SP1 and then SP2 for the software package. The link to SP 1 is no longer active and I think it's to do with MS no longer supporting the software from 18 September 2012. There doesn't seem to be a link to SP1 and 2 in the AVsim library though there is a link to SDK SP1 and 2. Is this the same thing? Do I need to download SP1 and 2? Can someone privide a link for the SP's if they are needed? Thanks......

I am trying to resize the 2D panels of my FeelThere Embraer 175. I have 6 "popup" panels, PFD, MFD, EICAS, MFD2, PFD2 and AP. When I select them from the menu, they are displayed grossly exaggerated in size. I wish to resize them, but it appears I'm unable to click to undock and resize. When I click on the panel, it disappears. How can I enable these panels to resize and reposition them? But I just build the best computer money can buy, just for FSX and add ons. I messed up in a big way..... the addons were installing so quickly that I flooded my hard drive with add ons without following basic rules... like reboot! Hi everyone, I used Aerosoft Madeira X for quite a while now and recently the mesh was messed up. I fixed it but now I noticed there are no trees and buildings around LPMA anymore, strangely, closer to the Funchal City, Autogen starts again. Any Ideas? Screenshot attached.....

Hi Stephen, I just purchased OpusFSX and it is growing on me slowly as I get up to speed. Definitely like the weather engine and the sense of flying to/through/from weather, subtle but great immersion experience. One thing I'm having trouble with is in the camera views. I can set everything up but using my Saitek Pro Yoke it does not recognize my hat switch as buttons to assign camera views to. Other buttons on the yoke work and I checked to confirm that FSX and FSUIPC are both able to recognize the hat switch, so it seems like it should work. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Also, I noticed that even when experimenting with the degree of camera shake,…

Can anyone please tell me if the "addon scenery directory" and the main scenery directory with the 000 to world directories are left intact when uninstalling the sim? I was advised to backup the scenery files by using the settings menu? and to also save the fsx.cfg file. I have FSX standard, I have now purchased FSX Deluxe and the expansion pack and want to install them, but try to avoid having to install all my sceneries over 100Gb of the stuff mostly Ultimate terrain, EU, USA and Canada, a lot of Orbx and most of UK2000, I also have Norway X and NL2000 installed. Hy all, with my spec i5 2500 3.3ghz 8gb ram gtx 670 2gb is it normal that for example at LFPG i get 9 fps during landing with the pmgd 737 NGX??? I have optimized the fsx.cfg so i guess there is something wrong because i read that many peaople with lower spec than me make 30 fps

I recently installed FSX, with no problems. I then installed Radar Contact 4.3, which included the latest FSUIPC (4?). Again, no apparent problems. But now I am being told to go to the "Add-ons" in FSX to edit or confirm FSUIPC parameters. I can't find an "Add-ons" menu anywhere in FSX. What am I missing? So i've managed to get my system pretty frames happy (see hereforsliders). Basically my sliders are mostly maxed out, except autogen is at Normal and water mid2x. I was initially using 4x4x in the ati catalyst panel but found based on the images below that 8x for AF made the runways look clearer. The runway below is from KORS (orcas island). I noticed the lines seemed blurry so I worked to try to tweak things a bit. I run with textures at 4096 for clouds and after a setting change 2048 (aero setting) for surfaces. The biggest factor on clearing up the blurriness seemed to be to use both Mipmap set to Quality (not performance) and the AF at 8x. It seems that the …

Hi, I used to have FSX (with SP2) installed on my PC but uninstalled it a while ago as it was not being used and was taking up a lot of space. My son now wants me to install it again so he can use it. Last night I put disc 1 in my dvd drive to install and I got the following options: Repair – install all previous files added by previous install Remove – remove all files I firstly tried the repair option – it starts to install files but doesn’t get very far as I get a message saying it cannot find a particular file (Atlanta.bgl). It seems to be looking for the file in the folder where FSX was originally installed and not looking at the disc. I get the opti…
