Hello, On FSX, I wanted to play another game so I could pass by the time on my international flights, so I unchecked the box saying, "pause on task switch." After I did that, I found out that I can't hear FSX's sound when I alt+tab out of it. I was wondering how can I hear FSX's sound while I play another game?

And it's fantastic. Adds a great little piece of realism to your flight. I've only played with it a little on a couple short flights but seems to work flawlessly and has a ton of options to toy with. Definitley worth picking up.

Hi: I upgraded to WIN 7 and while setting up partitions, accidentally deleted my entire FSX installation that was in its own partition. So, there should be nothing left from the old install. I set up a new partition for the drive dedicated to FSX and installed the program. When I try to run FSX Gold it stops with a screen that says "Flight Simulator requires at least one each of the following to run: an airport, a VOR, an NDB, and a waypoint. There is currently no waypoints in the dataset. Flight Simulator will now exit." I did a repair install, nothing changed. Front page news just posted: In an email sent to a variety of flight simming sites today, Microsoft announced that Customer Support for FSX has expired. In the announcement, Jennifer Paige, Community Manager for Microsoft Studios said; "Customer Support for FSX has expired here at Microsoft. What does this mean? We will no longer be answering support emails or hosting various updates and download files for the FSX product. Why has it ended? No one enjoys flight simming more than I. I've been doing it religiously since the very early days (at least 15 years ago). I fly mostly GA aircraft, and business jets. However, I still love flying the heavy iron, but I only use airliners that can navigate with the default GPS. So, that's my confession. And I'm really embarrassed to say that I still do not know how to use an FMS navigation system that's so present in some of the finest models FSX has to offer. In their two Azores packs, TropicalSim explicitly state that the whole islands are covered, and not just the airports: as their SimMarket product pages say. However, I'm interested in bying only Ponta Delgada, Santa Maria and Pico airports. However, in the three single products pages this is not explicitly stated, and it is not clear whether Ponta Delgada, Santa Maria and Pico have: for the three respective islands, aka of São Miguel, Santa Maria and Pico. Does anyone have Ponta Delgada, Santa Maria and Pico airports separately, to deny or confirm this?

I am a bit clueless right now.. I dont see it on Navigraph..

Hello, This issue is something I've tried to research and haven't had much luck in finding a solution on. It's only happening on 2 aircraft in my hangar right now and out of all the high end payware I have, it's a little bit of a shock honestly. The Justflight 146-200 w/expansion pack and the Eaglesoft Citation II/SP work and display perfectly in daylight conditions but if I switch the time to night, dusk, or dawn, the exterior model and framework disappear. This doesn't happen on any of my A2A, PMDG, Milviz, Carenado HD, or Aerosoft aircraft. I've tried contacting Justflight about this issue and they have absolutely no idea what it could be causing this issue. …

I am so impressed with ORBX Australia and New Zealand that the wife is letting me get the Pacific Northwest scenery. Anacortes is also going to be bought because we honeymooned there and i want it for sentimental reasons. But if i have Pac Northwest installed, doesnt that cover Anacortes already? Or does the Anacortes scenery ORBX sells on their site make that airport and area even more detailed? I cant wait to get this installed..im downloading it now...does anyone have pics of what Port Angeles looks like with ORBX?

Greetings. I've set up a PC with a dual boot installation: Win7 64 bit and WinXP SP3. On both systems I have installed FSX, with the same configuration for the simulator and the grapichs card (via nVidia Inspector). On WinXP there are no apparent issues, but on Win7 it's rather common problem the corruption of gauge textures, in the VC view and on pop-up windows. I have a huge problem with REX E making the wind turn up to 180 degrees and therefore the plane goes from overspeed, to stallspeed and back to overspeed. This is far from okay since I train procedures and don't want unexpected crazy weather conditions. Is it possible to use the sweet REX E textures and standard FSX weather engine? Does anyone know the commands to control the weather from a webserver? Any help would be highly appreciated. Best regards Baudie

All For simplicity I use the default FSX planner for IFR flights. When should I use high and low altitude airways? I figure the 10s are low and 20s are high. Don't think I can use the transition layer because that's low in some parts of the world. No doubt, it depends... Guess I'm just looking for a rule of thumb. Cheers Mike

Ultimate Alaska X Tongass Fjords X They both seem to be doing similar things. I realize UAX has the whole Alaska, while TFX concentrates on just a small area of Alaska. Is the small concentrated area of TFX much better done than UAX overall? I know people will say get both but I don't feel like spending that much at the moment. I'm looking to somewhat cheaply enhance water airports mainly.
