Website down as is their freeware AlphaSim site. Any ideas?

I thought they were gone, but the come and go, and it seems like much more so around high-end 3rd party airports managed by Virtuali Addon Manager. They seem very much like competing processes, but they are so random I can't seem to get a handle on their cause. One flight will have them, then next not, sometimes 5 secs apart for part of a flight, then they disappear. I never had these, if I remember correctly, prior to installing some of these airports, but it's so hard to be sure. Ideas on where to look? There will be a brief pause (<1sec) where frame rate drops from 25 to 3, then right back up to 25 seconds. Noel

Where can i find mike kelly autogen tree and the cloud textures zip files. I been looking all over for it and i cant find it. So please get back to me asap if you have that zip file for i can use it. It help my fps or if you have anything like it thank you.

Having botched my default c172 plane I now find I cant do the VOR lessons here because it now selects the glider. I have tried repair but it will not install the C172 probably because the old butchered one is still there. Would somebody be kind enough to email me the c172 folder? I use Ezdok, Accufeel and TrackIR 5. Flying both my Carenado C172 and Antz Eaglet I notice that in all internal camera views their is a nice reproduction of the "normal" bouncing and waving you would expect in a GA ( based on weather conditions). However, in the pilot's ( LH view, VC) seat everything is as steady as a rock. Obviously, the pilots seat is where I want to gain the best weather experience. Does anybody have any suggestions why this is the case?

Anyone know of a decent scenery for ZBAA? Surprised no one has done this airport before. Chris

Hiya I'd be glad of your opinion of this problem. In my modules folder I have: FUSIPC CumulusX WinchX Accufeel simlogger I also run TrackIR5 and EZCA. Ezca runs and the GUI appears but is 'dead' and no longer connects to FSX and therefore TrackIR is u/s. FUSIPC appears in my addons menu but the others don't. Of the other 4 items, the processes run, the interfaces appear but they don't connect to FSX. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have deleted andf reinstalled dll.xml and rebuilt fsx.cfg. I suspect a registry problem. However, is there some other 'xml' file that might be at fault? I have tried to 'restore' by run…

At the end of last year I built a new PC in anticipation of both Flight and X-Plane10. Eventually I migrated back to FSX. Although the new PC ran fairly smooth with FSX, the images and buildings were not visually crisp & smooth and I saw jagged edges in the white runway lines etc. PC Setup - i5@4Ghz (OC), SSD, 8G RAM, HD 6970 VCard, 60inch LED TV My FSX (even with GEX, REX OD etc) never looked crisp like the youtube vids and pics I have seen on this forum. I am hoping that someone can help me with this. The pictures pretty much explain themselves. Hardware Intel DZ68BC board, I5-2500K , 8GB ram, Windows 7 64 bit, and EVGA GeForce 560Ti. Also using FPS Limiter. The location is Schiphol. Note some buildings missing. This happens at other airports but my little airport and others appear OK. This happens in both Europe and North America only places I have been to so far. Also before all this showed those weird red stripes were there but not all airports. I'm having a really big problem with my trim button on my saitek pro flight yoke. When i use the elevator trim down button and HOLD IT, the trim moves all the way down, however when i use elevator trim up button and HOLD IT, it only moves one notch and stops. You have to keep pressing the button repeatedly. As you can imagine, making big pitch changes is a pain. I've tried changing the switch for the trim and the same result occurs. I'm using the saitek pro flight yoke, with none of the saitek software installed, working fine for well over 2 years. FSX SP1&2, 32 bit OS. One last thing. I am needing some help in trying to allow FSX to install for me. I have to do a reinstall (please don't ask), and now I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why FSX is giving me the repair and remove option still. Here's how I unistalled: FSX was also installed into c:\FSX and all addons into c:\FSX-addons -uninstalled via control panel -deep uninstall via advance system care -defrag -registry clean with advance system care I have manually deleted the files in c:\users\me\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX, c:\FSX, c:\FSX-addons -deleted the registry record under HKEY_Cuurent_User/Software/Microsoft/Microsoft Games/10.0 I also unistalled Prepar3d in the sam…

Hi All, Not used FSX for a long time, but a demo flight in a Bonanza last friday in Cheshire has encouraged me to get in to it again. Just cleaned up my HDD, defrag etc and loaded Active Sky X, SHADE and FSX, just like i used to. No noticeable performance issues but there is a green square about 15mm x 15mm in the upper left of the screen. Any ideas? Cheers.

Does anyone know how to assign the JF 146 heading bug to a control button? I tried using FSUIPC (registered) button assignment and FSUIPC Mouse Macro, but neither seems to work. I'm using a CH Yoke, and I prefer to control the heading with the heading bug with a yoke control rather than looking for a heading control knob on the panel. Dale

For you Airliner jockeys - how many of you prefer to fly without VNAV? I'm using Radar Contact and it's so much easier to respond to the controllers short temper if I stay in IAS/Level change modes. Anyone else prefer not to use VNAV? Those who are using VNAV - what do you do specifically when the controller gives you altitudes outside of your vertical profile? Do you just jump in the FMC and adjust (dangerous) or keep switching between VNAV and other vertical modes? Seems like a pain and extra work... What situation am I going to get any value or reduced workload from VNAV, when should I use it?
