After a re-install of FSX I have a black cursor. I couldn't install a downloaded SP1 file for some unknown reason. Then when I tried to re-install Acceleration and SP2 (with SP1) I got a pop-up saying I needed the English version of the orginal FSX disc (which I have had since it first came out). So I went to the Microsoft website and downloaded SP2 and installed it into the sim. I still have the black cursor. Does anyone know how to get the cursor back to white? Regards, John G

Hi community, I have a question about aircraft and runway night lighting, although I think I may know the cause of my issues. My aircraft lights, ans *some* runway and airport lights look a bit oversized; almost like blobs if you will, with no outside parameters defined. Also, sometimes in external view, I get square black lights on my aircraft, although it dissapears after one or two seconds. I think that this issue may be because some time ago, I installed Shockwave lights, and at a later date, I also installed REX lighting. As a result, I'm not sure which Halo.bmp I should be using. Does anybody now any good freeware or payware sceneries for Los Rodeos Tenerife North Airport & Fuerteventura? Sim Giants scenery doesn't count as I already have it and can't install it. Yesterday after a long time I tried to reinstall my Sim Giants Canary Islands Gold Edition for FSX, however for some reason after entering serial number and after that when trying to continue installer program stops responding and closes down. Tried to contact their support, haven't got answer yet and I fear their support might be inactive as there haven't been any new projects in ages. All my Strobes and NAV light have gone missing. Any one know of a way to recover them with out having to reinstall FSX\Gold Berlopez :(

Hello, I have this strange scenery problem! The scenery is FSX and do not use DX10 Have no problem with other airports! The two airport with the problem are FMEE and FMCZ both nearby Madagascar!! The scenery is the reunion airport FMEE Roland Garros. If I takeoff at this airport and the scenery is no problem. When I fly over the airfield the appron and runways start to flicker!! So I'm still going through the Concorde X pdf tutorial and notice that most of the flight is nothing but setting Autopilot dials and buttons. Very little hand flying, especially approach and landing. Boring cruise across the pond I can understand but I'm surprised that the crew let the computers do most of the lining up and maneuvering back then.

On the Virtavia site they list their C17 for FSX as one of the aircraft they released as freeware, but when I go to the Virtavia/Alphasim freeware download page it is not listed. Is anyone aware if this was an error, or if there is some other link where this can be downloaded? RDS

I am new to AVSIM, thought i would post to see if anyone is having the same performance issues as i am or possibly a solution to my (hair pulling :mad:) problem. My Frame rates are fluctuating from 7-30 FPS at any airport(addon scenery and default) any aircraft(addon aircraft or default) and do not go any higher than my record 31 fps :lol: . Hello, Because i had low fps at airports as Mega Airport Amsterdam I decided to upgrade my motherbaord so I was able to overclock. After my overclock i completely reinstalled FSX on a new SSD drive. Unfortunately my fps is not even a bit higher than before my overclock. I still get around 12fps at Amsterdam with the PMDG, GSX, Utliamte Traffic 2 and the airport from Aerosoft. I followed the guide from Word Not Allowed to set up my fsx.cfg. With this pc specs it must be possible to get more fps or not? Thanx. KSFO is one of my favorite home airports in FSX. I normally set up a flightplan for landing at this airport. Hello guys, I have a little problem with Ezdok. Everytime my airplane stands at the gate it is bumping sometimes. It is a few times in a row and then it stops. Its like i'm riding over some lights but i completely stand stil. Can anybody help me?

Does anyone has problems using both? Every time there's a weather update, I get a over speed warning, the auto throttle disconnects and the aircraft loses the navigation... This type of behaviour never, ever, happened to me using Active Sky. Also I'm getting strange temperatures while cruising... Made two flights in the afternoon. The 1rst one at FL310, the temperature shown in the cockpit was +1ºC. The other one was at FL270 and the temperature was +12ºC. :\ Also with Active Sky it never happened! Hello Team! I recently reverted back to FSX from X-Plane and I have encountered an issue I do not recall having years ago when I used FSX as my main simulator. The issue is that in the middle of any given flight, the sim stops to load what I think is either weather, traffic, or scenery. I actually see the bar going through and once finished the flight resumes. That's very annoying. I seem to remember there may have been a way or a tweak around this. Anyone has any ideas? One of our most recent FSX addons is a Turbo Cirrus SR22 but the developer chose not to implement the CAPS. This is the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System. They programmed everything up to and including pushing the red handle but stopped short of including the rocket firing and parachute deployment and all the fun that follows. Hello to the Avsim Community, I didn´t know if I should/could open a new topic as I know there are many topics covering similar issues. But the thing is that I tried to sort out my problem by reading all those topics and applying the hints given to the people with stutter problems and it didn´t really sort out my problems. So, I thought maybe I forgot something/ did something wrong and meanwhile I can´t really see the trees through the forest. My video card of four years, a GeForce 9500 GT with 1GB of ram, recently suffered a fan failure so I knew it was time to replace it. I wasn't interested in spending a lot for a new video card--I've always had a modest budget for my PC, so I went out and bought a 650 GTX with 2GB of ram. I was advised in advance that the new video card wouldn't improve my framerates since FSX is cpu bound. But what I have found is that I can run with max AA (32X) and max resolution with no peformance penalty. Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help with me with a problem I am facing in FSX and Rail Simulator 2013. My system specifications are the following: Intel i5 3570 @ 4.2 GHz GigaByte Z77D3H 8GB DDR3 Ram AMD Radeon 6870 Windows 8 Pro 64 bit My friend has a similar system specifications apart from he has an i5 2500K and he seems to get an average of 30 fps in the NGX, default ground textures and running UK2000 scenery at some UK airports. When he records using Fraps he only drops to around 20-25 fps and the game performance is smooth. So this is what I get after I installed FTX Australia SP4. All the terrain looks messed up. I activated Australia region before starting FSX in FTX Central. I don't know what's the problem. Everytime I install a FTX product my scenery gets messed up. I have GEX Europe & GEX USA installed and I know there are some compatibility problems when you fly outside the FTX region but this is how Australia looks. Can anyone help?
