How can you open the overhead panel from 2D Cockpit? Is there an addon for a button/Toolbar (Quick Launch Toolbar) like for the FMC I can get for this plane.

I am trying to install Wilco's 737 PIC in FSX with win7/64. It works, but I don't have any 2d panel options in the aircraft select menu. I only have 3 choices which load into the virtual cockpit, I then have to select the 2d panels from the 'views' menu and disable the VC. Is this normal?Thanks

HELP>>>> I downloaded the CLS MD-87, and was getting a Ghost... you just get the out-line of the aircraft. I was directed to download FSL_TextureFix_1.0 & 1.1 for the fix and that made it worse! Now I get a black screen... audio with no visual agggh... I think I deleted the files, but I still have the black screen... how can I get my FSX working again?. Hi guys, I have just reinstalled my FSX and because I was battling with FSDT's vancouver, I wanted to see what it looked like, minus the addon airport. Around this area I get pretty fluctuating performance [autogen tears, etc] that I just don't get anywhere else.. 1) Has anyone got any experience with this? 2) Is it possible to replace the textures in this area [i don't really wanna do ORBX, but Ultimate terrain, or gex perhaps?] Alex

I installed the Alphasim CF105 Arrow (now freeware) in FSX. As a Canadian, this is part of our heritage. It is a great model, but in the Virtual Cockpit the panel is black. The 2D panel works great. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong in the installation, and how to get a working panel in the VC? RDS

Ok heres my issue I'm having moving lines looks like the screen is refreshing my screen its a 23" led moniter set at 1900X1080X32. The lines appear when I turn the plane or pan views I've tired everything tweaks, external limiter, vsync fix, ect but nothing is having an effect its not my video card because it happens on my new 660TI like it did with the 560TI I had. Also I have good FPS they stick around 30 unless I use the Carenado C182 then they drop but I pull 30 FPS on the NGX at fly tampa airports but still have those dang lines.

Okay guys, I thought I will make an official thread for those of us who are confused about the view system in FSX. I know it can get very confusing, especially for someone new to FSX. Always loved the Concorde and still consider myself very young to FSX. Does this plane come with any sort of tutorial or learning missions? Does it have a very comprehensive Kneeboard Checklist to follow through? I'm sure it comes with a huge manual to read but honestly, I learn better by doing and hope this plane might walk you through a bunch of it's procedures. Also some feedback on the plane package quality as a whole would be nice. :) Comments?

I know how to get to the fsx.cfg in my existing PC with WinXP HomEd 32 bit OS (c:\document and setting\name\application data\microsoft\fsx) but in my new PC which has the Win7 Ultimate OS I'm not familiar with the path. I'm new to Win7. Any help will be appreciated.

Is anyone here using this combination in FSX? Is there a way to disable the REX weather engine? I just want to use Opus specifically for that purpose and leave REX to handle the textures and lighting only. What is the proper way to do this?

Hi! I installed ISD's Linate with the 2009 update on FSX Acc. Everything seems to work fine. It needs a bit of flattening here and there but otherwise it really fits! The major issue though comes with the FS9 native effects that are used with the scenery I observe a huge FPS drop when facing these effects. As you may know the same issue existed before FCO was converted to FSX. I would like to ask if anybody knows in which .bgl exactly are located the effect entries or is there any way to replace it with FSX native 'halo'-s? Many thanks in advance

I have just installed this and am trying to get it to work. I have started FSX, started PFE but the connect to FS button is greyed out. I guess I have to import a flight plan but i dont see an option for that.

This topic is kinda directed to "Mir Flightbeam" here. I have been having the hardest time downloading ANYTHING from flightbeam for the past 2 days! I need to re-install KPHX, and the download starts, but then stops responding, and downloading. It's NOT my antivirus, disabled it. It's NOT my internet, I downloaded other material and it downloads fine.

I've always had an issue with trying to get better details out of scenery in the distance. Take the picture below for instance; Is there a setting that I can adjust to prevent the blurring of the mountain textures? These are nearby Jackson Hole (Orbx scenery) and its my understanding that they're photorealistic but one would never know from looking at my sim. ( Here are the settings from my sim that may be relevant;

Is it best to ask for taxi Clearance.before you pushback? I am finding that I can not get taxi Clearance after I did the pushback.

I was reading the Software and Hardware Guide for FSX by Paul Johnson and he mentions that: "Any time the GPU receives a texture – which, of course, it’s doing constantly – it expects to see an alpha texture. If it doesn’t find one - it looks for one: if there are enough textures without alpha’s – it will cause stuttering and/or hesitations. Similarly with MipMaps..." So of course I ran AphaSearcher and found that almost all of the UT2 aircraft are missing Mipmaps. AI traffic is hard enough on the system as it is, shouldn't these have mipmaps in them or maybe there is a reason they don't?

I have the Wilco Airbus Volume 1 and 2, and I love the product! The only problem that I have been having is the abruptly high ascent/descent rates with the AP engaged. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi All Thanks to Acronis True Image 2013 upgrade my Windows 7 64bit crashed. Recovering from a bootable media FSX had a number of dreadful problems 1. LDS767 Bad Licence FSX quits 2. UT2 Must register first to use this product 3. EZDOK cameras and profiles lost or corrupted 4. Many *.dll files were lost 5. FSL ConcordeX does not loa at all 6. Restoring to an earlier working Windows version several recent FSX addons were deleted After fixing each and everyone of these errors FSX now loads fine but none of the addons (PMDG747, NGx737, MD11, LDS767, Airbus etc. ) load the VC.
