For some reason, in my F1 Mustang, I'm missing a bunch of approaches at one of my local airports. They used to be there. The airport is KSUW. I don't see any available approaches. There should be GPS 4/22/13/31 approaches. Oddly enough, in the PMDG NGX I've got all 4 of them. Both products use Navigraph. Why would one be different?

I have used as2012, REX, and now im using OPUS and the OPUS metar says it is overcast at 5000 feet and i am flying at 1500 feet, yet i still see patches of blue sky blue sky. i have the clouds tab in graphics maxed out...or do i need to do some kind of tweaking of a value in the cfg file to get a solid overcast? I can accept the magical spinning of the clouds as you pass them, i just want a solid deck of clouds.

I just loaded Megascenery X SoCal into my new PC but I forgot how to add it to the FSX scenery setting. I went to the FSX Scenery Setting, clicked on Add, located the file I loaded, clicked on it but nothing happens. What am i doing wrong. The file is located in my D drive/program files/Socal/socal.

What a bear! Trying to get all 17 files. Only able to successfully download 10. I'll keep trying but I'm open to any insight into this. Its' the 1st time I tried to use Megascenery Earth. These are the new Pennsylvania files that cover the whole state. Stan

I just upgraded to a new laptop (Sager NP150 with i7-3630 and GT675MX). As part of my configuration of the machine, I specified a 256GB SSD as my C: drive, and a standard 750GB drive as my D: drive. I'm about to install FSX. I remember the conventional wisdom from some time ago was that FSX should be installed on a different drive from the boot drive, but I'm wondering if that should still be the case when the boot is an SSD and the other drive is mechanical. It would seem to me that the speed of a solid-state drive would be a decisive advantage even if it were the boot volume. I've been looking at the Simaddons sceneries for Canada the last few days since I stumbled across a mention of them on a different thread. I have a couple questions for those that use them: 1. Any terrain plateauing or other issues using them with FSGenesis terrain mesh? 2. Is there any way to get rid of the goofy-looking people objects in/around the terminals? They look like they were cut out of a kid's coloring book. 3. How do the western sceneries (Kelowna and Prince George in particular) play with Orbx Northern Rockies? 4. Any issues with GSX--specifically the marshallers in the scenery and the GSX marshaller? TIA

Anyone here use UT2 notice that the lighting looks strange for aircrafts flying when at an airport at night? They don't look realistic, its like a halo of light all over the night skies and it reminds me of fireflies flying all around you at night. Is this how its suppose to look or did REX screw something up with lighting?

hi everyone . me again. as i know in default goose G21A in fsx, LNG switch control both landing & nav lights. and its nav switch control nothing. is it possible to remove nav in LNG switch, and re-bind nav lights to nav switch? many other aircrafts have the same issues, Dont know why they are designed so and it's weird. pls point me a solution. thanks!

Hello everyone-- Well, I currently have FSX running great, with all of my add-ons. I'd like to make a copy of my hardddisk so if something happens I can get back to my current state. I don't really want to run in RAID mode as I don't want to slow things down by making a duplicate at all times. I also don't want to make a copy if I make a mistake. I'd like to be able to make an image when I choose and be able to re-load that if things go sour. What is the best way to do this? What software package? I have a 1 TB external drive that is networked to my PC. Thanks, --Don

Hi Running a 680gtx . can anyone advise if I should have anti aliasing ticked in fsx and what would be the recommended setting in nvidia inspector ? Done a bit if searching but can't seem to find the answer. Regards

Anyone know how to keep the FSX sounds audible when interacting with non-fsx windows; similiar to the effect of using the Pause on Task selection in the General Settings? I seem to recall a payware that advertised this capability but can no longer locate it. My searches for a solution are producing no results. Thanks, Jesse

This will be no surprise to many, Word Not Allowed has explained how BP=0 requires a good balance with locked frame rate, but worth mentioning all the same. And a query at the end. With my old system, i7920 at 4GHz, GTX580, I could run BP=0 without any issues. However, when I upgraded to Ivy bridge, i73770k at 4.5 GHz, still with my old GTX 580, I found BP=0 generated artifacts. Therefore I was forced to use a reject threshold instead. Finally got round to a few tests today, and the solution was very simple. I usually run with the FSX frame lock at 60. Yes, some will say it should be lower, but for me, locked at 60 has always worked very well, rarely any stutt…

Hello again; Before I start using my SSD and while its still in the box, I was wondering something. I don't use many FSX addons other then GEX AND REX , so 128gb SSD will be enough for space. My question is putting my OS and My Fsx on that ssd will give me the same performance as just putting fsx and addons on the SSD? How would you use a 128gb SSD assuming I have enough space for sure for fsx with my SSD. I don't know if I should put OS AND FSX ON my ssd or just fsx and addons. I am using EZDok addon but have disabled it just to see if it fixes the problem with some of the default views. I can't seem to pan around while in other views such as Tower views, Runway views, etc. I can only zoom in and out. Does anyone else have this problem? It's been bugging me and I'd like to figure out how to fix this.

Just' wanted to ask what settings do you use, when flying the PMDG 737NGX from/to major hubs like FSDT's KJFK, KLAX, KORD etc. I think I have a quite decent system which should allow to fly at least with 20 fps. I have GEX NA, Ultimate Terrain US installed and I'm using MytrafficX or UT2 for ai traffic. Do you reach 20 fps or more? Harry

Is there any AFCAD for LEMD? I can't find one with latest 32R/14L and 32L/14R. It causes a lot of trouble for me.

So my Aerosoft - Launcher informed me about Anchorage X update and I am on my 3 hour download from the Aerosoft site now. I have looked around but find no info in what has been updated. Also wondering, since it is a 2.3 gig download, I guess I uninstall 1.00 and then reinstall? I like this airport a lot after adjusting my UTX settings to improve my frame rates. I fly PANC to PAKT (Orbx) a lot.
