This is one of my favorite regions to fly and was wondering if there are any addons that you guys know of that will improve the visuals for a much enjoyable flying experience? I already have FlyTampa Hong Kong, but are there any meshes, or photo realistic addons that anyone knows about that will improve the look further?

I'm mostly into the best looking airports and I have ORBX CZST, FSDT KLAX,JFK,Vancouver, Flightbeam KSFO,KPHX and FlyTampa Montreal. Is there any airport that I missed similar to these in terms of quality? Tell me if you know some.

Hello, I'm a fairly experienced fs9 man recently made the move to FSX. I havent loaded it too heavily but I'm having an unusual texture issue with addon aircraft that maybe somebody may be a able to identify on viewing and see something that I am not. The pics are attached, but forgive a bit of ramlbing on my part in an effort to provide as much info as I can. I have extensively searched the web and although others have experienced this issue its always related to a specific a/c and not quite the same as mine. Just installed FSX/ACC in a new computer, but there are no missions showing in the Missions tab. There are missions in the Missions folder in the root FSX directory. Any ideas ??? Dave Hinson

I just wanted to know what everyone uses for their VC zoom setting. I usually always stick with about 0.50 or so. Any tips on what would be the most realistic setting?

Hey gents, Anyone know how to solve the issue of airport buildings disappearing with certain vertical view angles? From the cockpit, panning the viewpoint up and down, if the buildings are below the midpoint on the screen (panning view up), everything disappears except runways/taxiways. Then above the midpoint on the screen (panning view down) they reappear. Same thing in external views. Any ideas?

Hello everyone, So I'm thinking about getting FSDT's Vancouver airport and starting fly around in Canada some more again. I already own Vancouver Plus v3 and am wondering how well the airport works with this scenery. I see that there is an update for the airport that helps with performance issues many were having. So how do these two add ons work together? Also, I fly the NGX all the time. So, that would probably be best reviewed by people that also use the NGX in this area. Thanks for any help.

Hi there all, I am having some issues with both my FSX and FS2004 for some reason. Both use to run ok on my PC with no issues over a year ago. I haven’t used either until now and have found neither work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both, no joy. Someone told me to try disabling my antivirus but this did not work. The symptoms are: FSX – Error window on starting up the program on the splash screen: “fsx.exe – Application Error. The instruction at “0x688f1526” referenced memory at “0xcdcdcdbd”. The menu bar at the top of the screen is hidden from the list of functions (i.e. End Flight, Simulation Rate etc.) Also the ATC message is also hidden. I have used ALT to get menus and toggled ALT+Enter. Although the menus are hidden I can click on what appears the menu. I can scroll down the hidden menu and click on a function and it activates just like it would if I would be able to see it. It was working previously on Windows 7. I have windows 8 installed and was working. When I initiate FSX the splash screen comes up normally and the screen to select aircraft, weather, date/time, etc. comes up. Bought this yesterday and have to say it really is a lovery aircraft. I'm told by some that Carenado Air files are not very good, but considering i've never flown one, I wouldn't know;-) I do have one item I don't like... The sound volume in the VC is SO quiet, that to get a normal volume there, it's then REALLY loud in outside view. Some have said its correct but dont see how it could be, as the exhausts are RIGHT next to the windows. Anyone know how I can increase the inside volume? I can edit sound files if needed but don't know which files.

What is the best turboprop jet for fsx payware? I have heard the Piper Cheyenne X but also heard it looks like FS9 instead of FSX.

I've been trying to decide. A PMDG/LevelD plane or Ultimate Terrain? I've got the FeelThere Citation, EJetsV2 and the ERJs. Love flying these machines, particularly the ERJs. I flew into an area I know well yesterday on an EJet and was looking for a familar landmark that was missing.. Looking into Ultimate Terrain, it removes the forest and houses right across the street that don't exist in real life that were Masking what I was looking for. I'm sorry if this problem has been asked and solved before, but I don't know how to ask, let alone search for existing replies. I will try to explain what's happening. I installed very very limited amount of addon on my current computer, with a freshly installed FSX (with SP1 and 2, but not Acceleration). After that, did some tweaking using Kostas tweak (worked really well), and setup my NVidia Inspector. Installed NGX base pack and UK2000 EGLL, with REX-Ess+OD, FSGlobals and ENB and that's it. I then went to install EZCA, all installed, configured and updated to 1.17, but somehow when I load up a flight, the view can default to EZCA view, but whenever I use …

I always reset the default VC camera eyepoint on my aircraft but I have yet figured out how to make it look down so I can see the lower instruments. Right now I use the top hat to do this but I would like the view to be correct without taking that extra step. ~~Gypsy~~

Is the FSX Acceleration a 32-Bit or is it a 64-Bit program? My D:\ drive where I have the game loaded listed a "Program File" and a "Program File (x86). I understand that the standard "program File" is desinged for 64-Bit programs and the "Program File (x86)" for 32-Bit programs. Or does it matter where the FSX is loaded.

I recently wanted to uninstall fsx and do a reinstall but the game has disapeared from my list of programs so i'm not able to uninstall. this is very strange because i can still play the game just cant find it to uninstall very strange.

I noticed that there are a fair number of Canadian airports in FSX that are listed in Transport Canada's Canada Flight Supplement, as being abandoned. In the real world would a pilot be able to still land an aircraft at these airports?

My 256 gb ssd is a little low on disk space, I have a huge FSX folder! One tip that might help someone save some space is your screenshot folder. In my pictures\flight simulator there can be a lot of saved screenshots. Mine was over 9gb! Now I have over 30gb free instead of almost 20. Just an FYI
