I want to use fsx for ifr procedure training. My computer is rather week so i take all the graphix down to get more fps, but the instruments(ifr cockpit mode) sometimes 'jump', and is there a way to gette better resolution in the cockpit but not use to many recourses on outside graphix? How do i best set up the weather so that i get the wind gradient and the right turning the first 2-3000' ? if i just pick actual weather does it include that? Hope you can help me out making the last ajustments, really nice using it to learn the procedures in instrument approaches

Is there an addon out there that people would recommend to change the runway lights at all the airports or at least the major ones? Just looking for some options to improve them really.

Besides a specific airplane, what addon is not available to buy that you would like to have for FSX enjoyment? I'm hard pressed to think of anything....only thing I REALLY want is a 9Ghz cpu so frame rates aren't an issue. Edit: Just after I hit the send button I thought of something. I'd like to see a single player addon that puts adventure, game, challenge, creativity, story and purpose to the flying in FSX. Something like XPax, Air Hauler, FSPassenger, FSCaptain, Rescue and African Adventures all into one, super enhanced game but 10 times better.

I don't know if it is OK to run Lycoming engines like the one in my Christen Eagle by IRIS Simulations 20° Lean Of Peak EGT would that damage a engine I've always ran mine 20° ROP or Rich Of Peak any advice is greatly appreciated and will be used as well.

Dino Cattaneo has released some really beautiful aircraft as freeware - noteably his Goshawk and the F35. :clapping: The Massimo Taccoli team also have a Aermacchi MB339- which is a beautiful aircraft. There is one problem - they are designed for Acceleration - so without acceleration I don't get gauges displayed. I've tried a few edits, but wow - the VC is a difficult cfg to display correctly, especially the F35. Anyone been successful in editing these panels for their own use ? I've tried without success. Another noob question, on this map https://www.google.com/search?q=fsx+waypoint+map&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari#biv=i|1;d|6X61dQoD2_aM_M: Are all of those waypoints? (Ex: D302E, DO24D etc.) If these are waypoints, they should be entered on the "Legs" page am I correct? Appreciate any answers, -Matt

I just bought this beautiful plane but I am a little disappointed with the RXP530 integration. I asked on the Aerosoft forums and it seems that they really don't care about this issue. Whenever I turn on the instrument lights there is no lighting for the 530 buttons (back light on buttons). But for the default GPS500 there is back lighting. I tried seeing if I could find the lighting for the RXP530 in my other aircraft, but I could not find one, just one for the GNS430. Does anyone know how to get the back lighting for the 530 onto the GPS? Thanks John

I have assigned F1 = Decrease Throttle and F2 = Increase Throttle But when I hit tthem it does nothing, anyone know what's wrong? Its for the Airbus X Extended. I see like 2 entries for throttle (decrease) and throttle (increase) under the preferences, is something wrong with my install or is that normal. Somethings not letting me push the throttle forward, I can only do reverse thrust. Not sure what's wrong

Hello Guys ! I'm flying with Pilot Edge real live ATC, so I do not want & need any Traffic. UT2 is off, Aviation Traffic slider is set to (0), & still I see lot of traffic in the air, & on the ground I hear (but not see) activities, kind of weird, no. So I entered all the info into the FMC, so how do I follow the route once I am in the air? What do I need to enable? no videos are helping me and cant find any answer. Do i just need to enable something and it will follow the waypoints to the destination? this is a boeing 737 PMDG ngx please help very confused.

I have the F1 Mustang but it doesn't run on Windows 8. Are there any other high quality ones out there? I'm looking for something that will cruise high and fast but have had no luck in finding one. It's sad because there are so many sweet ones in RL. For now I'm relegated to using the default Lear which isn't too bad. Cheers jja

I sometimes read about addons being run over a network and I always thought this was done so FSX would run better (since the addon doesn't need resources from the computer that's running FSX). So in my simple mind I thought you would run FSX on one computer and then simply connect another computer to it which would inject whatever the addon could inject (talking about OpusFSX, ProATC/X, FS2Crew and addons like that). I have a (almost) spare laptop here at home and so this evening I started to investigate if I could put that laptop to good use in order to let FSX run better (then it does already) by maybe putting my weather and ATC software on that laptop. I just bought CYUL from FlyTampa, and a couple of weeks ago I bought CYVR from FSDT. These two scenery designers have definitely left the others behind. I highly recommend both sceneries. I'm going to give my WestJet NGX fleet some quality flight hours.

Hey guys. I know this was already addressed and answered on the maddog forum but the forum isn't loading so I can't find the solution. I'm just trying flythemaddog 2008 on FSX for the first time and when i load the aircraft from the aircraft selection screen FSX CTDs on me. I also tried loading the cessna first and starting a flight, then loading the maddog.......same problem. Does anyone know the solution to this? Thanks. - Ian

I had to get a new pc so I got one that can easily run FSX, I went and installed my wilco airbus packages and they sound absoloutly terrible, the engines sound crackly and I can barely hear the ATC. Does anyone have Any ideas what this could be or how to fix it? I don't have this problem with any other aircraft apart from the wilcos. I can't remember them sounding this bad on my old system.

Hello All! I am having an issue that I am sure is related with some aspect of FS. I am sorry if this is posted in the wrong topic, if anyone knows of a better place I will move it. My C Drive thumbnail has disappeared, replaced by the page with dots, shown when there is no thumbnail for a file. I can not seem to change/replace the thumbnail. Does anyone know how to fix this? -abasa12

Hi All, I hope im posting this in the correct area. I recently used ******* 'Bojote' Altuve fsx.cfg tweaker after a freind told me about it and i must say its done wonders for my FPS and i can run my system on such higher settings now with better frames. There is 1 problem im having though... my ground textures are only loading in a low level sort of way. everything is blurry. Can anyone help me with a fix for this? I dont want to ditch the new CFG file really but i do want this problem to get sorted so if anyone has any advice or help that would be great!! Please see attached pic for an example of what i mean

Hiya guys Little query if I may... I notice that on my install, the lighting at EGKB Biggin hill, seems to float, about 3ft in the air.. Runway lights, threshold lighting, taxi markings, all of it.. It's as if whatever tells the lights where the ground is, is about 3ft too low... Does anybody else experience this and/or know a way to correct it?

Stephen, Cheryl, I am just cruising CYHZ-WJA229-CYYC heading North West to the Hudson Bay (flight plan from todays flightaware.com) and it is quite bumpy... at least the Dynamic Head Movement is enabled and the pilots (me) experience a jerky flight. That's ok since https://sites.google...her/home/canada shows that I am approaching a jetstream emerging at the Hudson Bay's Southern tip. Maybe this is just me? But I have been testing this for 45 Minutes now, and have come to the conclusion that OPUSFSX is causing me problems. (The latest version only) I got the latest updated version, and for some reason now when I start opusfsx server, my computer becomes really slow. Like it will take 10 minutes to even get past administrator access! Normally lighting fast, I did lots of tests (disabed antivirus, looked at processes, malware scan), and the only culprit is Opus. I restarted, started FSX and everything is normal. Started Opus, my computer acts up again. Very weird. Any ideas?
