So I got a Samsung Galaxy recently, and I was wondering if there was a way to use the Galaxy to program my FMC on the PMDG 737NGX. I googled it, but had no luck. Any ideas?

hi everyone. i know there were few topics on that, but nothing i could find to give cleare answer. is there a way to change the default gate assigment i get from ATC? i keep getting the same gate (the most "boaring" and isolated one) everytime . there must be some kind of CFG manipulation that can help. thank Giora

So, I've looked around for a while now to no avail. I have the ground scenery density slider all the way right. When I land at an airport and taxi to the gate assigned to me by ATC, it will be the only gate visible without a jet-way or luggage vehicles. Also, I have the airport traffic slider all the way up. It is very annoying and would love to know if anyone has a fix for this. Thanks!

I have a question about frame rates in the PMDG 737NGX. My current system running everything on ultra high seems to be choking up between 22 and 11fps in the virtual cockpit. If I lower all of the sliders to Minimal I only see an FPS increase of about +10. Any thoughts on my system specs and whether this is normal? P.S. I have All AI Traffic Disabled. System specs as follows: CPU: AMD FX-8350 Overclocked to 4.7gb RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengence PC1600 VID: NVIDIA GTX670 2gb OS: Win 7 Ultimate 64Bit James

So i brought both the US Cities Las Vegas X addon and VFR London X this week....now both apppealed to me because i fly to both very often, they both have night textures and both in terms of the screenshots posted look very inviting! So....installed both and loaded up.... Vegas X.....from a distance this addon looks fabulous, but lets be frank here...if your using a chopper or bell to get a closer look at what you spent your cash on the textures are pretty weak, some building models look unfinished and there seems to be a clash with the FSDT KLAS airport and Vegas X addon in terms of a landclass clash causing a sudden step like error just outside the airport boundary. …

Tried posting twice at the a2a forums but my posts never show up for some reason so may as well ask here. I installed V2 of Accufeel on Saturday. Despite finding or generating the most severe turbulence it doesn't seem to have any effect on my aircraft. OpusFSX works fine and generates the correct bumping etc during flight through turbulent weather but despite turning Accufeel V2 on and off I can't see, hear or feel any difference even with the sliders on MAX. Also not sure why there are now two Accufeel programs in my start and uninstall menus. I wonder if this has something to do with it? Anyone else with the same issues? Anyone know of any fixes? Re…

hi some of my autogens (factory, nuclear power plants etc...) are flickering, it looks like there is double texture on it and both trying to load for example it happens at the nuclear power plant near of Paris CDG, it's very annoying. is there a way to fix this ? thanks

I have tried some of the tweaks listed on this site (and others), and I finally have my FSX running well. The biggest problem I had was screen tearing, which was completely unacceptable to me. I have made several tweaks to the fsx.cfg file, and to ATI Catalyst Control, and to FSX in game settings. I wanted to post the changes that I made, hoping it helps someone else with an ATI card. BTW, I have used many tweaks from other sites, so I don't mean to take credit for the work of others. I just want to share settings that work well for me, which are a combination of these tweaks. For some reason I don't understand, Process Explorer has stopped showing actual VAS for FSX. All other processes seem fine. On this screenshot, running FT's CYUL, NGX, UT2, UTX and FSGlobal Ultimate. Should be more than 3k Anyone understand what's the problem here?

Hello, Whenever I try to turn on VC cockpit panel lights in FSX they don't turn on. I can see that the inside looks different but there is no light. This is rather annoying during night flights. Ok people of Avsim - i need your advice.... I have been researching for a while now over what plane to purchase to fulfil my requirement for a new GA aircraft. I only enjoy "hard-core" simulations with all the bells and whistles such that i can follow real world procedures and in return receive from the simulation what you would expect to see in real life (of course within the confines of FSX!). I have an autopilot installed in a Miles Magister. I have added all the required autopilot section to the aircraft.cfg and made the appropriate entries in the air file. The ALT hold works fine. When I switch on HDG hold the A/C wobbles about +/- 25° from the selected heading. It does not work at all in NAV mode even though I have the NAV set to a VOR and the VOR gauge works to select my NAV heading. What do I have to do to get it working? Thanks, Bob.

More reliance on autopilot and not keeping your manual flying skills sharp. Of course in the RW it will depend on each companies SOP. With the advent of even more modern aircraft with more automated systems, its tempting to put on autopilot earlier than is necessary rather than flying manually on takeoffs and landings occasionally to keep flying manually sharp. Hi I have just recieced today my copy of rex essentials + overdrive and am struggling to get it to work :( I have got my directory all set up correctly and have selected my theme that I want I have saved the theme and loaded it however my runway textures are still default and by the looks of it I can't see any major difference in the clouds. I have all the boxes in the settings ticked and have the highest resolution clouds selected. Are there any setting in fsx that need to be set to certain things for it to work? Also I don't want to use the real time weather I like flying in overcast conditions is this possible with rex? Many thanks Nathan

Hello, in the past, I only used the weather function of Opus. It is working great. Recently, I also tried the camera function. So I defined some camera views, defined corresponding keyboard keys, ... This is working fine. But after using three to four camera views, a crazy problem is coming up: the world outside the plane is starting to turn and to move extremely fast, and I can stop this only by pressing ESC. After that, the plane is at a totally different place than before (it is similar to be in the slew mode). Does anyone know a solution for this problem? I use Windows 8 + Prepar3D 1.4, and I am flying always with the RealAir Duke B60 Regards …

I have recently been watching Frooglepete on Youtube describing planning and executing some flights using Aivlasoft's Electronic Flight Bag in his PMDG 737NGX, all very interesting stuff. So I looked up this EFB from Aivlasoft, it looks very in depth on first reading the manuals! I haven't bought it yet but see you can download it free for 30 days from their website! I launch FSX from a shortcut on my desktop. For some reason I began to get the UAC "Do you want to allow to following program to make changes to your computer..." popup window on launch. I spent some time trying to stop it appearing and failed. Eventually I solved it by deleting the shortcut and creating another. I have no idea why but felt it worth passing on.

I have always wanted good turboprop aircraft for FSX, but have always been skeptical because FSX is known for having terrible turboprop modelling unless the developers work outside of the FSX defaults. I gave up on the Digital Aviation Cheyenne partially because I wasn't satisfied with their turboprop model. SO...now I have two different turboprop aircraft. The PMDG J-41 and the Real Air Turbo Duke. The J-41 is well known to have the best engine modelling for any turboprop available in FSX, and the Turbo Duke is also said to have some good realism of the PT6, plus full RXP integration. Today I took a flight to LSZH. I planned to join STAR from KELIP waypoint, but soon found something confusing. From KELIP there's only KELIP 1G available. Then I picked ILS RW34 based on wind. The STAR would be KELIP MOSIT ZH626 ZH625 KLO GIPOL. And the approach procedure from GIPOL is GIPOL KLO ZH726 UTIXO MILNI. What I found confusing is why I need to fly from KLO to GIPOL then a 180-degree turn back to KLO. Is there something I did wrong or that's the design of procedures? Edit: My charts are from Eurocontrol.

Hi guys, I love OPUS, and the easy one-click operation, it's really a great product. That being said, if Im attempting a long cross-country flight, my sim starts to pause about every 1000 feet of altitude. I have a bunch it's one of the cameras, as if I turn on the head motions in OPUS, the pausing ceases, but I personally don't like the shaking in the NGX VC, so I keep them off. Is it OPUS that is causing this, or should I look for another culprit? Thanks in advance,
