So I have built a new PC and now it comes to re-installing everything on my new SSD. If I was lay i could just plug my old HDD in (which includes OS etc), but I'd like to take the opportunity to start afresh. I have a clean Win 7 OS on my new SSD.I will uninstall FSX on my old PC and install FSX and add-ons. The issue comes to activations. Throughout the years I have moved FSX and add-ons around to different PCs. I am extremely concerned whether any FSDT product will re-install. Are they intelligent enough to release I've uninstalled them and release the activation limit? i am also concerned about the newly bought PFPX and PMDG 777.

After flying FSX since day 1, around 7 years ago, I finally can say WOW!!! Until a few days ago I really didn't know what I was missing, but I am now able to run autogen on Extreme and FSX is a whole new experiance. Now to be clear, I have always had a good install and never had some of the problems others have with 'blurries', 'stutters', scenery loading, etc, but it has always been a compromise with the settings. Mine were fairly high, but never maxed out. What changed things for me was upgrading to GEX's new textures. I have always used GEX and been very happy with it but when FTX Global released I considered getting that. Before I ever buy anything for FSX though…

Fellow Pilots, Morning. So my new love (this week at least) is AirHauler flying in the PNW with some small GA aircraft. Ive been using the ForeFlight App for the iPad for flight planning, weather, fuel estimates, etc and I am running REX as my weather engine. Im having a few issues getting my depicted in-game weather to match what I planned for based on current METAR, TAFs, and Winds Aloft data. What is the best REX configuration to get accurate weather prediction without "pop-in" weather changes? I realize that there is probably no perfect solution but I'll take a happy medium. I have always loved the "global" aspect of the AVSIM community, and enjoy seeing the comments from distant members from distant lands. That being said, I find myself being rather "provincial" in my flight planning, and am continually flying over terrain that I actually know - the PNW, the CRM, and much of the southern United States (yes, Orbx will get there eventually). I realize I could fly anywhere in the world, but find myself quite satisfied with flying over places that I have traveled in real life. I see many members that report flying only the British Isles, or Norway, or the Mediterranean areas. Is this feeling of "locality" more pervasive than we think? …

I am contemplating buying my first FSX traffic program. I think I have narrowed in on MyTraffic 5.4. A question for anyone owning this product: Is there a way to independently control the amount of static airplanes on the ground, versus controlling the amount of planes coming and going from airports?

Downloaded the Accusim 172 today, and couldn't wait to fly her. Sounds, visuals, and behavior are absolutely wonderful. However, I noticed that my UP, DOWN, SIDE arrows on my keyboard, work very differently for this aircraft than ALL my other aircraft. The Page UP and Page DOWN buttons on the keyboard work correctly. Why is this? This affects all my interior views and exterior from the inside of the aircraft. The view perspectives from inside are all very different and I can't imagine why. Is this the case with any of you who've flown this beautiful plane? Looking forward to your responses on this. Stan

I have recently been having problems with, I think, the above Sim. I am unable to see any airlines when selecting type in FSX e.g I cannot select an Airline name from the drop down box, Just the generic FSX airlines exist. Is this my fault as it used to appear. Ialso cannot Select PMDG downloads ???? Help. Cheers, Pontious

Afternoon, Quick question. What is the preferred precision approach method for the NGX? ILS CAT II/III or RNP (GPS)? Can the NGX perform a LAND 3 AUTOLAND on a strictly GPS approach or does it require ILS for the dual channel capability? Trying to choose wisely.

I just successfully used the same key I've had since I purchased it, and it worked fine.

Has anyone updated their pfpx nav database to a newer version than it comes with if so how? thanks

I surely should have remembered this from taking my flying lessons way back in the day up here in Colorado, but the A2A 172 has provided me a stark reminder in how lousy a tool an under-powered, naturally aspirated, single engine airplane is to fly up here - nearly had a "controlled flight into terrain" incident that was about as "real" as I ever care to experience - fantastic job A2A! :biggrin:

I'm looking for a smaller biz jet that is not the Cessna Citation X from Eaglesoft. I have had this but don't like the audio nor the flight model so haven't reinstalled it into my new build. Thanks in advance for your expressed thoughts ;o)

Hi I'm looking at the Aivlasoft EFB program, but unless it works (and works well) on the iPad, it's a non starter for me. I don't have a second PC (neither do I have the room for one) therefore the only viable option is via the iPad. I'm seeing mixed reports on its use with AirDisplay. ... after moving my dedicated FSX-drive from HDD to SSD. Bad bouncing on ground than dancing into the air ... Very strange. I also can't load any previously (before the move) saved flight properly. What can I do. I read about this strange bouncing issue in the forums but at my installation it has never been an issue (one or two small bounces when opening or saving a flight, that was all). Now it is simply unusable! What could I do do? Any help and suggestions are deeply appreciated Harry

First I can't find any A@A support forum on their home site? Second, the default virtual cockpit/panel view has the pilot viewpoint quite high. Only yhr top half of the first row of gauges is visible the remainder is the view from the windshield..

Hi I downloads the pmdg 737 ngx and I think it is an amazing product with great detail. I am able to do a full autoland but after landing when I have turned the autothrottle and the flight director off, I turn off the runway and I use my rudder pedals to turn and brake but after landing they don't work as well as they do when I turn before takeoff and the brakes don't work at all, even though it says down the bottom 'brake'. Plz tell mine if they're is something I can do because I can't taxi

I had trouble finding a fix that would fix the wilco citation x switches. Everything was working as far as the aircraft goes , but no switches or gauges worked in the cockpit. I could not find any answer on the wilco site or feel/there forum, I even email them and they never answered, I chased this for a bit and was emailed with a fix.I had copilot /fsinn in my dll.xml file. The problem was that copilot was above the wilco instruction in the dll.xml file.I only had to move the fscopilot entry in the file to the bottom of the file and then everything worked.Thank you all for the information that led to this solutionEmail me if anyone else had this experienceThanks and i h…

Hi, Would you consider TrackIR5 or EZdok with FSX...this wkend saw a bunch of videos on youtube and both seem awesome...price difference is quite noticeable and wanted some views before i decide. Also, I am quite new to FSX and was wondering if any classics like the RFP 747-200, Boeing 727, DC9, Aeroworx King Air work on this system...if so, can you give me some links as to who produces such packages please. I need help on setting the proper affinity mask in my fsx.cfg. I'm not sure if I have hyperthreading on or off but under the CPU-Z app it says Core: 4 and Threads: 8. So I'm assuming I have hyperthreading enabled? If so what should my affinity mask be set to?

I'm curious is this an fsx problem or a traffic 360 problem?

I've looked about in the manual etc but can't find anything on updating the airac cycle I don't have a subscription for the nav databases now, but have one that's newer than the one that pfpx comes with
