Hi All My system is screaming along in windowed mode and couldn't be better but recently I went to drag the FMC to a second screen undocked and it blacked out and the frame rate went from 30 locked to 0.9! So I tried full screen mode to see what happens and it to drops to 0.9 FPS as well So if I leave everything in windowed its a great experience so what is happening when I switch to full screen for the massive frame drop? I have let fsx rebuild the CFG but same problem. Sliders full left makes no difference either. Have rolled back the vid driver have re sized memory to 25000 for fsx drive nothing fixes it....Anyone have any ideas? i52500k OC 4400…

Hi friends, Today I just noticed that in my FSX, the contrails are missing textures. I'm using DX10 so the default "light blue" texture with the FSX logo on it is called out to replace the missing texture. Does anyone know which texture is actually missing, so I can pull out the file from my laptop which has another install of FSX. Thanks, Zicheng

The good news - Navigraph are close to releasing their web-app version of their chart software which will work on tablets and mobile devices, which is excellent for those of us with only one PC who don't want to leave the sim for charts. The bad news - those of us who have paid to accumulate vast chart collections on their desktop version will not be able to access the charts we've paid for via the web-app, as the web-app will be for annual subscribers only. At €60 for an annual subscription, this is disappointing. I knew they were working on an iPad app but presumed anything I'd already paid for, I would be able to access.

Hi. Just did an upgrade to an I7-4770K, mb, ram and fsx now has this on the display. Any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it? Interestingly, other aspects of fsx are now giving trouble as well. Ran well before the upgrades. Video card is still a 580gtx. Considering removing and reinstalling fsx but I shudder at the time it'll take as I have approx. 200 gigs there now. Dave

What one earth is going on with PFPX? I just started it, a flag came up offering an Update from present version to v 1.03. I then downloaded that, and when going to run it, it states it cannot install because I need an installed version. Eh? I thought I already had one at v1.00 when it flagged an update without me even asking for it. Anyone else see this error?

This seems very cheap compared to FTXG. Does it do the same thing? according to the description it replaces FSX textures. Anyone using it? http://www.fscene.com/

Hi Guys I fly with FSpassengerX most of the time. After upgrading to OpusFsx, FSpassengerX no longer reacts to turbulence generated by OpusFsx weather. So I just want to find out if anyone out there using another package similar to FSpassengerX, but the passengers are reacting to the turbulence from Opus. Hope to hear some recommendations. Thanks.

The fuel pump, also called the Boost Pump or Emergency Fuel Pump in some aircraft, is one item whose proper usage I've completely ignored over the years. Main reason is that it has no real function with FSX aircraft. It's just a dummy switch. However, with the upcoming A2A C172, I think using it properly is going to become more important. My understanding is that you turn it on when an engine failure would be particularly inconvenient, such as when taking off or landing. Is this correct? When would you normally use it and when would you typically turn it off? If it reduces the chance of the engine quitting, why not leave it on all the time?

Hey guys, I am wondering if anyone of you know how to tweak your fsx? I just uninstalled fsx, had some problems with it, and are now going to install a fresh copy. But i am having a problem with frames, especially when i fly payware aircraft to payware airports. Is there any easy tweaks that you can show me, that could maybe help get a little more frames? Exported PFPX plan to FSC and getting a warning window saying cant edit or save the PFPX plan in FSC cause cycle versions differ or way-points missing in one cycle etc I dont use addon airports, so i assume default fsx airac should be fine for me. currently using default airac that came with FSC., and default that came with FSX. But cant figure out why i am getting this issue On another note PFPX always fails validation of flight plans i have created with it, so hoping a plan it actually validates might work in FSC, and so the problem may not be airac related any ideas cheers

When piloting a steam gauge plane, what is the proper procedure to follow when the plan has the next VOR further than the plane's (or beacon's) ability to be mutually detected. I'm guessing you are simply suppose to follow a direct heading towards that next VOR until the signal comes within range?

In general, what are some normal distances for when certain airliner mechanicals should be deployed? For example, usually at what distance should the landing gear be put down? What distance from landing should full flaps out? What about first step of flaps?

I have a really hard time adjusting the settings file to make it look good. Thats why I have to go back to Enb, but its instability and crashes are annoying so I really want to give sweetfx a shot. If you share your settings file here it would be helpful.

Not always, but every now and then, I see the most gawd awful AI models created by man! Or more accurately created by MTX 5.4 pro... Can anyone else confirm that they see the same low quality AI in MTX. If this is the case I'm thinking of jumping ships and maybe look out for another AI package.
