Is there any kind of fsx add on that presents a moving map in flight, without pausing and going into a menu? Perhaps just something you can call up with a key command, almost like a cockpit gauge kind of thing? Thanks

Hello friends I hope everyone here is good. I read in so many websites there is something called rendering preview or ram & speed up ram preview. Guys is this really could improve my performance in fsx, especially my ram is 8GB corsair platinum 2133 ( its the last generation from corsair ). My specs is : i7 2600K at 5.2 GHz, ASUS GTX680 DCUII TOP. I get from 20 to 25 frames in heavy scenery. Yesterday i see reviews about rendering preview and really need to know is this can improve my fsx performance. Note: ( i use the completely Word Not Allowed Guide and every thing is okay ). Just what about ram rendering preview ?

Withought having done anything - no new addons or anything, I now have a major issue... The menu bar will not appear for more than a fraction of a second, whatever I do. This is in both windowed and full screan modes. I've tried removing the fsx.cfg to let FSX rebuild a new one, but this made no difference either. Not seen this before!???? Can't do a system restore (its off) and dont want to roll back with a backup yet.

Are these great times for FSX or what? I've only been into flight sim for a few years, but the number and quality of add ons released this year is amazing and has really given new life to FSX. FTX Global adds amazing textures. FSGRW is a great weather engine. PMDG, Carenado, Accusim, Flight One, et al have or are in the process of releasing some great planes. Oh, and the DX10 fix will be released soon, which has the potential to be a game changer. FTX promises Northern California, Europe land class and airports, and more by year end. First time in a long FSX use has happened that problem - all inland waterways FSX fills the forest. I have a lot of addons (FS Global Ultimate, UTE, FS X vector Europe, FTX Orbix Global and much more) - but there is nothing changed from this time if FSX worked nicely. I use DX10 mode.. Now if i quickly move in slew mode to lakes area,then I see the beginning of the lakes and when fsx load texture, no longer lakes -only forest. It seems, that some problems with texture loading?? Or some FSX settings have themselves become incorrect?

Hello, Those great little baggage handling loaders don't want to go to the proper cargo door. This is the CRJ700 FSX default airplane which has only one cargo door, which is on it's left side. As you can see by the pic, the baggage loader goes to the plane's right side. Usually, I can figure out how to correct stuff such as this, but this one I cannot figure out. Any assistance will be appreciated. Thanks....

Hi, is there any plans in the future to add a tcas to the coolsky dc9? Anybody have tried? Now that the cargo version is near to the release would be nice to have a tcas and fly with the nowdays regulations.

I know we shouldn't download FSX into the Program (x86 ) file or the Program file, but what about an add on like Ezdoc or Rex?

I'm tempted to buy the Just Flight TriStar. Can anyone tell me if it's any good? I can't find any reviews when I google. To me, the cockpit seems a bit basic, but that could be incorrect. And how well is the systems simulated? I'm looking forward to reading your opinions, guys!

I came across a most irritating problem tonight as I flew a short IFR journey. In my flight, my cloud textures would abruptly step through three different types at a regular interval. Sorry, I don't know my cloud types, but first would be nice puffy clouds set amongst the blue skies, then to thin whispy clouds. Each one would last a couple seconds, then switch to the next. It wasn't as if I was flying through the clouds. It only does this in cockpit view ... not in any other outside view. Hello people, I could use a little help here. I am subscribed to Navigraph and I do have the newest AIRAC 1309 installers here. I wanted to update it today, but when I opened the OPUS Server today, clicked on Weather -> Flight Plan Options, I noticed you can set your FSX NavData folder which will was still on default. It says it will always default to FSX/Navigraph/NavData. But when I opened my FSX folder, there is no Navigraph folder there, nothing. What should I do? I have Opus FSX installed on a different drive (E:/FSX add-ons/Opus Software). Inside this folder there is a Navdata folder however, should I point the program to this folder? I have read up on GPS several times but my memory is not what it used to be. Is there specific instructions on what to do when entering the "Geen V-shape" area when approaching a rwy?? I have been experimenting with different things that I feel are wasting my time. Thanks in advance

Last night I was flying ( at least attempting to ) the PMDG 737 and also the default Cessna 172 without any problems with the controls.This mourning I'm flying the default 172 and noticed the airlerons and elevator didn't work , the rudder was fine. I reset , didn't help. Changed planes, didn't help. One flight starting out all controls were working fine ,a minute later in the air both controls failed again. I do have FSX in charge of my controls plus a couple of miner things like the brakes, etc. I have FUISPC 4 handling everything else. At one time I tried using FUISPC 4 to handle my flight controls but it seemed too complicated so I went back to FSX for the controls. …

I've just stumbled upon this INCREDIBLE new website! It basically acts like what PFPX will do when that's eventually released, in that it creates dispatch documents based on recent AIRAC Cycles (with you having to unlock the recent releases using your Navigraph access codes. Once you've put in the basic information, it spits out a great looking dispatch sheet which is then exportable to many format. It's still under construction, but it looks great and is a nice little free step up until we get PFPX. Let me know what you think!

I must be totally stupid but I've installed the FSGRW demo, I started a flight as the manual told me to, I am parked, I switch to FSGRW and now I should select the option called Start Weather Transfer: "Choose the version of your simulator from the drop-down-menu and click Start Weather Transfer." But there is no version of my simulator to choose and there is no Start Weather Transfer...? I am stupid or what...??? I must be missing something obvious but after looking for it for ten minutes and wanting to fly badly I decided to ask it here... BTW Is it correct that I can only download a weather file and that I can NOT download Dynamic or Static Weather...? …

Those of you playing Air Hauler or FSEconomy with GA aircraft in particular, what are your favorite locations for bases in terms of somewhere with interesting scenery and nice routes? The Orbyx regions obviously fit the bill, but I'm looking to try some other areas now that FTX Global has brought the world alive. My first base is in Chambery, France, which is great for flying around the Alps. My next will probably be in Italy. After that, though, I'd like to try some more exotic locals. Caribbean Islands? East Asia? Africa? I guess there is no reason this topic has to be limited to Air Hauler. In general, where is your favorite place to fly GA aircraft particularly with…

Simmers..... Is Abacus kaput? I just tried to buy their "Light Mini Jet collection" online, and had problems getting the download-link/serial. Have sent them numerous emails to info@abacus, orders@abacus, etc., and tried their 616 and 800 phone numbers, both are disconnected. Also left a message on their facebook page. If anybody has any better abacus email-addresses to use, phone numbers that may work, etc., would appreciate a reply to this posting. I just completed my 30 day trial of EFB and I am wondering if there are any similar products out there? While I really love the product for its simplicity in building/exporting routes as well as moving maps and the ability to pull up ils and radio frequencies in advance etc the price tag is quite high and I am wondering if there are any viable alternatives. Do many people use EFB? I fly the 737ngx almost exclusively and will probably switch over to the 777 when it comes out.

While flying a mission ( specifically Detla Flts) is there a method to have the instructor "repeat" his insstructions? I thought at one time I ran across a key stroke to use!
