I tried the Microsoft ATP checkride. I failed because I crossed the OLM VOR at 28,004 feet instead of EXACTLY 28,000. That is right... four feet above the altitude I was supposed to be at. So according to Microsoft I'm not good enough to fly airliners. :Cry:

I, like everyone else on this forum, am eagerly anticipating the release of the 777. I too, like many others, am disappointed that it's not coming with a complete set of 2D panels. I am not here to start another debate over 2D panels and why PMDG is not developing them for this plane. I would, however, like to know what worked for many other people who had to make the transition from 2D to VC. Hi Opus became unresponsive and an upgrade did not rectify nor did a repair so I went for a clean re install however the F1 installer wont open any suggestions ? thanks

So I'm cruising at 18k altitude and see airports below and planes around. They are all GA planes, not a single airliner. I have GA planes set to 0. Why do I keep seeing GA planes?

Can I get some thoughts on the CS 737 from people who have flown it? Thinking of picking it up for 10 euros. Yes, I know lots of people don't like CS. I don't care. Just want to know if it's worth having in the hangar.

I noticed some aircrafts sink just slightly into the tarmac.. is that solely because of the contact points defined or can it be caused by the scenery as well? assume I'm using a properly made scenery that has solid ground.

No GA, no heli, no fighters, etc..... Old or modern, which ONE airliner plane would you choose as having the most detailed, best looking, sharp, functional VC? I don't want a list from everyone, pick the 1 FSX plane you feel is best.

My FSX will no longer display any AI traffic at all. I suspect that my traffic files have been corrupted but I have no idea where to find them or how to regenerate or recreate them. Any suggestions or instructions most welcome!

I have this annoying crackling sound that has started and I can't get rid of it, I have spent my last two off days looking for the solution to no avail. I downloaded new drivers,for my onboard sound card and for my video card. I solved one issue which trying to get sound to play thru my hdmi monitor, but it to is making the same crackling sound also. I used to use headset that plugged directly into the green and pink jacks on my computer and I never had this problem at all,now when I use a usb headset this problem is prevelant as ever. Hello there Just wanted some opinion please, I am looking to purchase the following airports Ben Gurion X Sharm El Sheik both from Aerosoft and before I buy them I was hoping someone could tell me what they are like for performance as the total cost for both is £40 If they are good as say Aerosoft's: Corfu, Larnaca, Monastir, Olbia, Menorca then great but if they are worse performers like Aerosoft's: Paris CDG, Koln, Rotterdam etc then it would be great to know that too. I believe I've posted about this in the past but since I find this little utility so incredibly great I thought it might be worth posting about it again because this is one of those utilities you wouldn't want to be without once you've got used to it! Hello fellow simmers. Does anybody have an idea on what's going on with SIMAIR. I've gone to their fb page as well as their "forum" and there isn't much info and it seems like the developer is just beating around the bush with his answers or lack of answers. I'm very interested in this product however the support so far leaves a lot to be desired. Are most REX product in development like this?

Does anybody know of a good Halifax scenery? Not SimAddons, I just flew to Halifax and back (family) And I realized I really have neglected Canada. So can anyone recommend a good Toronto Pearson, Halifax, and Air Canada Express liveries for a CRJ-700 (not default) and a Q300, I was on both of those aircraft along with The Airbus Series, but I already have them. I would also appreciate it if somebody could help me find a Air Canada announcements .wav file. Or something like that, I'm thinking about starting to make Youtubes, of my real life experiences in FSX. Halifax-Montreal-Vancouver-Portland OR. Or something of that sort!

Runway alignment is just about the most important aspect of an airport scenery package for me. What I mean is that the runway markings (centreline/edge lines/threshold arrows etc.) must be aligned properly with each other, and also with the lighting (centreline lighting/edge lighting/approach lighting etc.). There is nothing worse for me than to approach a runway, and notice that the centreline lighting is skewed off to one side with respect to the centreline markings, or displaced threshold arrows that are (for want of a better term)......wonky. I have struggled with Active Sky through all their hundreds of patches and updates, REX, everything, and now I hoped for a miracle: (from your web page): No more unrealistic clearing of the weather prior to updating. No more annoying screen flicker as METARs are slowly loaded into the sim. But then, taken from the forum: don't be too alarmed if after an update your cloud coverage thickens, diminishes, vanishes, or new cloud suddenly appears. - Which one of these extremes are closer to the actual thing? Folks, a few questions for you scenery people...who have a lot of scenery... 1. KDFW (FSDT)- recommend it? does it have safedock gates? 2. Does the Dash8 do the V1/V2/Vr "rotate" call outs? It's hard to see those little tick marks when you're concentrating hard on the runway in front of you! Adam.

Just been notified of their 24-hour sale at Euro 9.99, yet when I looked at their 777-200 Base, it is listed at Euro 49.99 yet their blurb says everything is on offer at Euro 9.99. Odd. Am I missing something in that promotional blurb?

Is it possible to delete there preset view settings? Example. (I have "V"=Locked spot) but when I press it in the Airbus X Extended it gives me the throttle quadrant view. Is it possible to reassign or delete there default settings, so I can have my different keystrokes take me to the view I want it?
