I had to do a sytem recovery.Before that , I disconnected my external hard drive, that's where everything related to simming is stored. When it was plugged back in, I went through my folders and moved each addon back to the desktop. When the icons were clicked on instead of the program opening right up like it did before, it opened them up back in the folder. Does anyone know how it can be made where you click on the icon on the desktop and it opens up directly?

Anyone have any experience with this "auto-tweeker" product? Thanks! Jim

After a problem with mess textures in FSX I decided to do a complete reinstall in FSX. Installation was ok, however , after fill the fields with activate code I am having this answer from MS since last night. http://s76.photobucket.com/user/rgflores/media/senha-1.jpg.html I never happened before since because I had installed FSX several times. Below a certain altitude the ground looks paler, almost like flooded with Grey water When I drop below this level everything looks fine? IS it just me or do others get this? Apologies if post is here twice, having a few technical issued today ! Images below Cheers Steve

Hey guys, Any suggestions for good sweet fx presets? Lost my old ones when I reinstalled everything from the ground up. The previous ones I had were really good but I can't remember for the life of me where I got them from? I'm looking for something that is quite realistic--no over the top saturation, but some good contrast and sharpening effects. If you could post settings with a pic that would be really great...or redirect me if there's somewhere else I should check out. Thanks a lot, Alex M.

Being one of the most beautiful countries in the world, a lot of virtual pilots want to fly in Norway. However, as with almost every part of the world, Norway totally sucks in FSX default. Now some of you may know that there is some awesome freeware being created over the last few years (airports, mesh, land class, photoreal airport textures, etc.) but it's mainly available for Norwegians because most of the files are on a Norwegian site and most of the readme's are in Norwegian too. Hi, as titel says I only have on Ultimate Traffic2 x only SAS airlines?? I deleted the vistamare before maybe it causes therefore? But I cant find vistamare download as the website is down, has anyone a solution?

Hi guys, I recently got the REX automatic update program they bought out. I installed the updates as it said. Now when I try to open REX it comes up with c:\program files(x86)Real Environment Extreme 2.0\REX.exe is not a valid Win 32 application I have no idea why it does this or what it means I have a DVD copy bought from PC aviator in Australia, and I'm running Win 64 bit. I've tried the REX forums but had no support or reply. Also would anyone know how I could safely un install and re install rex with out opening it and restoring the FSX textures as the manual says u need to do this first. Hey guys, Today i decided to uninstall FSX and re install it. However it seems i cant re install it. every time i go to install it the installation starts for about 5 seconds then i recieve the error message. Anyone be able to help me thank you

Hey guys, I have downloaded some new flight plans from AVSIM and i am wondering how i install them for FSX? I have AI Installer V2 and i know it has to be compiled for FS9 so it works for FSX. But how would i install the British Airways A380 or B787? Thank you for any help and if someone could talk me through it that would be a big help, thank you

Have trawled through Avsim and Google to try to find an answer to this but to no avail. Recently I have found that the only way I can start FSX is on the default flight over Friday Harbor. If I try to start it at another location or load a saved flight, FSX just crashes. However, once I load the default flight, I can then change airports or load a saved flight without any problem. This was not a problem until a few weeks ago, but it is however a bit of a nuisance as it just wastes time and I wondered if anyone out there has experienced this problem or has an answer to it. Hi all, I have a major issue with my FSX sound. When I switch from cockpit to external view the sounds from the cockpit still play in the external view. For example if there is a master caution or the air con going I hear those outside in spot view. It's incredibly annoying and I'v been unable to track the source down. It appears to only effect add-on aircraft not the default ones as far as I can tell. Can somebody please help with this issue? or has it happened to others before?

Hi, I am going to install FS Real Time for FSX. Do you recommend that? Will my FSX need this software?

Its been awhile since Ive done a whole reinstall of FSX, I like to do that at least once a year. But since I am willing to go through all that trouble I was going to update to windows 8. Is it safe at this point with most addons? Last I heard LVLD 767 which I own and fly alot is not. Most likely will not use that aircraft once the PMDG 777 comes out. But PMDG 747 I use quite often too along with ifly 737. Some other sceneries I own are FSDreamteam, Opus, Ultimate traffic, GSX.. FS Global amd UTX USA and Europe. Hey guys, I just recently started having this issue in FSX. On long haul flights over the pond, no matter what aircraft i'm in, the textures disappear around the aircraft. It usually happens a couple hours into the flight. I'm confused with why its happening because I have my CFG tweaked according to Bojote's Tweaker online, and I am also using an external frame limiter to keep the frames in check. I have tried flights with and without the tweaks but the problem persists. I was under the impression that the "HIGHMEMFIX" should have taken care of texture problems. It's about FMC! Never used it, and never had any problems in flight without it. Always found FMC a very boring stuff, a time waster to be honest. It prolongs pre-flight preparations by 10 minutes, argh. Currently my fav planes are PA A320/321 and QW 757. From time to time I hop in PMDG 737NGX to feel it, but I prefer FPS easy planes like the first two from this sentence, until I get a better rig. Never used FMC also in 737NGX, all I need is a flightplan, good ATC (PFE) and of course an autopilot. Just make a flightplan and listen to the ATC = perfect flight. We all have had out of memory messages and software overloading errors. But can this happen in an aircraft? For example, in the 737 NG, on the ND you have a whole bunch of options for things to display on it e.g. Wx, Terrain, Traffic, Airports, Waypoints etc. But what would happen if you pushed and held all of those buttons at once??? Blue screen? Also, another question. With TCAS, you have TA only and TA/RA. I know what they both mean, TA/RA mean you get a resolution advisories after the initial traffic alert. But when you have it set on TA only, it means that the other aircraft is going to have to do the maneuvering while you just keep doing what your doing. But wh…

Hi, I've recently installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 64 along with a clean installation of FSX. Then I installed my addons ( FS Global - FTX Global - PMDG planes - ...). Do I need to install Direct X of any version in my system?

They both seem to do exactly the same thing so which one is better?

Hello I nearly always fly with FS Commander on a seperate screen. I think it is excellent in many ways. I am irritated though by one thing which i think is due to me not setting something correctly - ( it is not a programme I know a lot about ) When i open a plan which i have used before, i find that the cruise level i had set before has changed and the "default" level- usually FL32 - is there - and i have to readjust it back to what i want . Each time i open a plan I use Save As- in FSX and FSC etc and then load it from FSX flight planner. It would be nice, if, when i open that plan on another day, that it is exactly as I saved it last time. Does …

Here's the scoop, With looking at another site this evening, I realized that I had a wrong syntax entry as the first of my FSX.cfg file. I changed this ONE header and its entry, and have stopped my O.O.M's and CTD's after about any flight going over 20-30 minutes. Ok, so here's what I had until I changed it to a correct version; [bUFFERPOOLS] BufferPools=0 I then changed it to read; [bufferPools] UsePools=0 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ As a result of this one change to my .cfg file, I am no longer O.O.M.'ing and CTD'ing.
