Hi, I wanted to share a strange experience with simmers strungling to actually fly FSX because of setting up their cockpit of even tweaking. I have flown a rather complete 737 home cockpit for the past 6 years and I figured recently that I was flying no more than one flight a month due to the time needed for seting up the beast. I have to say that the homecockpit was very cool but could not be leaved flyable, I had to assemble / dissassemble part for using it (woman acceptance factor anyone ?). Not saying also about the tweaking part, hardware, software networking, and all stuff you may enjoy but without actually flying. Set up, fly, fold it. Lesson 1 : Too…

Hi, is it possible to merge any wxr for use with the PMDG 747 400x ND?

I've gone back to trying to get OpusFSX to work and have the newest beta v3.23. Since going back to this, approximately every 15 minutes (I believe this is happening at weather updates, but I suppose no guarantees), my FSX will minimize and I'll be looking at the OpusFSX .txt file about the METARs downloaded. I fly in fullscreen mode, which I assume is why it minimizes. I'm sure this is a setting/option I'm missing somewhere, but I can't figure out where. Can anyone tell me how I get this to stop so my flight simulator doesn't minimize in the middle of a flight?

On most jet airliners, old and new, if you apply full thrust reversers, should the plane roll backwards? Most of my FSX planes do not btw.

Well after some thought, I finally decided to move to Windows 8 on my main gaming rig. Im really used to windows 8 so Im passed the whole learning curve thing. So now I have a clean install of the OS plus some freeware utilities and latest driver (non-beta) for my gtx680. I have a 240GB SSD Drive for fsx which I have not installed yet. In my previous installation I had fsx installed in e:/Flight Simulator/FSX, I had Opus in E:/Flight simulator/opus, and pro atc x in e:/flightsimulator/atc pro x. same goes for Radar contact and some other addons that I have. I have been doing a lot of flying around Europe lately in the NGX when I started thinking about two major airports in Europe that certainly need a facelift. I'm trying to speak from a general sense of the flightsim community when I say that Frankfurt and Amsterdam Schipol seem to have been forgotten about. I mean the aerosoft versions were great in there time but are certainly showing there age, these are two very important hubs for both LH and KLM not to mention a few other major LCC's. I am really liking the combination of FTXG + UTX roads here in the US but I cant seem to find a good setting for day that works well for night time flying. I guess less light would suit me just fine, not too fond of the overexposed versions as if you are seeing it thru a camera with high ISO, wide open fast lens etc. What settings do you use that look more life like? Here are some pics that show what I get, the second pix shows that the shoulders/apron sections are so lit up at night that it ruins the effect. Hello! After trying to update my drivers, reinstalling some components, and more, I now wanted to post my problem here. So when I start FSX, a Aerosoft Airbus X A320, I get a blurry picture with single-color fragments. It happened to me about one month ago, but I didnt use FSX for a while.... I "m downloading REX using the first disc. and at this rate it will take well over an hour. I downloaded ORBX England right before REX and there was no problem with that. Is this normal for REX? it is realy being slow.

Since a week ago something strange is happening when starting FSX with the PMDG JS41 selected as default flight. The aircraft was saved with all systems off (cold and dark) but when I start FSX and select "fly now" in the opening screen, the virtual cockpit of the JS41 is opening and both engines are starting up (?!). How is this possible while the aircraft was saved as cold and dark1. I more or less solved this problem by unchecking the box "show opening screen" in the "Settings - General" page and now the aircraft is starting again in a sort of cold and dark situation (engines off). There are two new planes in my hangar. First I've took the opportunity and bought the 757 during Captain Sim's sale. Reading all the negative comments here and elsewhere I had my doubts, but hey, for 9.99... I am surprised: not bad at all. It has quite good sounds and all systems are working as they are supposed to (LNAV, VNAV,..) in case everything is setup correctly. The only thing with this plane is, that it is very hard on the frames. I do not see myself to fly it regularly though. Hi everyone, Today I was flying into Tehran Mehrabad Airport (OIII) on IVAO. I went for the ILS approach for RWY 29L. Frequency 109.90, course 286. ILS was identified according to the ND in my PMDG 737NGX. Armed VOR LOC, then armed APP once the G/S came alive. Was established on the ILS approach, everything was perfectly fine, then I found that I was completely misaligned with runway 29L! So I thought, maybe an offset ILS approach? Maybe something is broken? Then I noticed I was not parallel to the runway, but I was approaching it at heading 284 a little bit from the right. I could not follow the F/D anymore a few hundred feet before touchdown and had to correct.…

I've had this happen a few times no idea what's causing it. I try to fly on autopilot NAV mode with RXP GNS530W - CDI on GPS. But the aircraft won't follow the track, it just turns to the right.... and will keep banking. Any clues?

I have tried everything I know to get Traffic Toolbox to load in my flight sim, but to no avail. I bought the Gold Edition, but do not have Acceleration Pack installed. Doing a test flight, all the same conditions, from FSDT KLAX in the AirbusX I'm getting 4-5 FPS more and much smoother panning with it set at the default "False" setting. And by simply zooming out I can get pretty much the same view provided by setting it to "True." You can even go edit the camera defaults to permanently fix this. So what is even the point of this tweak that's been an "everyone just do it" tweak for years? Does it change texture rendering in some way as well? I've always had it in my .cfg because it seemed like a no brainer but it's definently affecting FPS and adding stutters, at least on my system. I got the same results testing at KPHX as well in…

Hi there, do not know whether I caught the right forum but have a issue with FsInn. Want to set my button on my yoke as PTT but do not know how to realize that with FSUIPC. I tried that by put the button in FSInn's Control Panel but nothing happened so I want to do it with FSUIPC. Tried to select there PTT(SB, V...) but it did not work. Do you know how does that work with FSUIPC and can you tell me? And another question: Where can I see in FsInn, if I am pushing the PTT or not? Was actually a SB user so there was a light that illuminated when pushed the key. could not identify any light on FsInn. Is there one?

Hello, I have a strange problem where sometimes there is weather but a lot of the time its completly clear, although the winds are correct, i've attached an image below to show what its like. The weird thing is that there is sometimes weather and clouds but mostly not. Any ideas?
