I've been considering this, and usually I don't spend a whole lot of time editing flight plans, I usually just auto generate them when I'm flying ga aircraft. A good bit of the time in certain areas I just don't like the auto generated plans and don't know enough about rw planning to aid in fixing the route, is this something I should consider as a different source of flight plans?

One thing that is really bugging me about PFPX is the Aircraft database. I just spend some time going through my Aircraft.cfg's for my addons to add to PFPX (something by the way that really should be an automatic scan). Here is what I found. - PMDG weight are incorrect....are we supposed to change the DOW in PFPX? If the profile was setup by PFPX specifically for PMDG why are the weights wrong? - PMDG addon profiles for the -700 and -600 are just not there (although general 737-700 exist, but not with winglets). - Level D Sim 767 - Does not exist. On the general 767 you only see GE engines. What about my RR British Airways aircraft ? - Majestic Dash …

Hi all I have now idea why opusfsx setup still jumps up when windows is starting up. opus is installed and running good, even after the last update its still going on. anyone knows why ? thank you !

Hello, the Q400 sounds are great, but I am having an issue with my exterior sounds. The volume of the sounds when in spot view is very low, too low to really enjoy them. The volume of the sounds in fly-by view is perfect, and if I could somehow get that sound volume transferred over to spot view I'd be a happy camper. I seem to remember this being mentioned somewhere else before, but i can't find it now...I'm guessing it may be buried in one of those long all-purpose threads that popped up upon release. Thanks!

I am looking to improve my FSX experience with some real world weather and have been looking at Opus, along with other products. I have 2 computers, one running FSX and one with my navigation, atc and hopefully weather. AS2012 looks good, easy to run on a network, however it is just a weather engine. REX looks like nice textures, but has two bad points, one the weather engine is not supposed to be that good, the other is that when trying to find out about installing on a network you can never get an answer, you have to purchase first before you can get help. Pls find attached my EZDOK profile for the superb Dash 8, I think it's pretty good, the shaking camera effects work well and are subtle. The configuration takes advantage of the Saitek X-52 Pro joy stick. The cameras pan smoothly through some of the exterior camera views, but some are configured to move slowly. Use the buttons (A/B) on the top of the joy stick to move fwd and backward through the views. The © button changes view to exterior camera, pressing the hat up, (switch to the left of the fire button) returns you to the virtual cockpit and the captains chair. Hello fliers, I have been with Microsoft Flight Sim's for years and have had FSX from the begining. As most everyone else has, I have invested in tons of addons for FSX. Since there is no more MS support for FSX, there is plenty of support here at AVSIM. With other flight sims available, x Plane and P3D, in your opinion, what do you think will happen to FSX in the future if anything at all? I raise this question because I would like to here from some of you and your opinion about FSX's future.

hi all I'm looking for a bit of info on how to use my laptop as a sort of efb that's linked to my fsx through networking I've done virtually no network stuff before so am very new to it although the laptop is already linked to my pc through a network for sharing the usual things ie pictures, music, and documents But I have no idea how I can link it to a running fsx for things like weather (Opus) and I'm considering PFPX so would like to be able to see the flightplan without leaving a full screen fsx thanks for any advice dumbed down if possible rgds Pete

Hi everyone! I just experienced something weird for the first time in FSX, and was wondering if anyone have experienced the same behaviour, or has got any idea what the cause might be. I was using the PMDG 737 NGX and Active Sky 2012, along with several addon airports. I was on the ILS approach to runway 24 in Edinburgh. Disconnected the AP and AT at around 1000 feet RA, as I normally do. About the time I was crossing the runway threshold, the airplane suddenly started banking violently (and unnaturally) to the right, then over to the left, back again, etc... Hello owners of the Dash 7 from Majestic Software. If you are experiencing low external engine volume on a Windows based operating system, please follow the following instructions to fix this issue............ Right click on the speaker icon on the windows tray, (usually bottom right hand corner of screen) Select playback device. Select your playback device in the device menu. Press "Properties" Navigate to the "Enhancements" tab. Tick the check box on "Loudness Equalization" The above instructions should fix the sound issues that some people are experiencing with this software. Hope this helps................... Hi, I discovered something very interesting When landing in Portland Today with the Majestic Q-400 aircraft, I'll post a video link as well, Anyway, when I was coming in for landing(not a vary good one) Islandton at about 650 ft./m, And I didn't blow a tire! I was wondering if anybody else discovered this. I wonder if because the flight engine is outside of FSX That takes away the blown tire issue. Anyone have any issues with the two. So far It said that I had an emergency but there was no emergency, And that I pulled too many G's at one point during the flight.

Hi all I have a problem adding scenery to FSXI downloaded the free versions (for trial) from UK2000. They say to start FSX and go to add sceneryI have done that. Once I click on add sceenerya new window opens and asks me for the path. I browse to the folder and click on the directory i say ok and then it drills down and shows me the scenery and texture folder. I pick one of them and it says no matching files foundWhat on earth am i doing wrong. This happens for all the ones I want to add on. I also got the free Prestwick one from Scotflight.Just wont work Thx in advance for answers. Ian

In the last few months I started to pay attention a lot to prices of products released on simmarket. I literally bursted from laughing when I saw prices of some products. Today I saw a mission selling for nearly 11 euros! *******, it is only one mission. Pricing that 11 euros is hilarious. Hi Just a quick question regarding PFPX. I am considering buying this and the topcat product and will install it on my main pc ,however I would also like to install it on my laptop as well so I don't have to keep swapping screen for the plan but wonder by having it on both how the registration process may effect the installation with the validation keys etc has anyone done this already and are there any problems with doing it? thanks rgds

Yesterday I used a PFPX flight plan from LZIB to LIME for the PMDG MD-11F. I exported one copy of the flight plan to the PMDG Flight plan folder. I exported another copy to the default Microsoft Flight Simulator X flight plan folder. So far, so good. I fired up Aivlasoft EFB and activated the FSX default flight plan I had saved a few minutes earlier. The EFB serves two purposes. It is a very detailed and beautiful flight following program (I run it on a second monitor) and it gives me a tremendous amount of information (SIDS, STARS, approaches, airports, runways, navaids, etc). I managed to make the Airbus X throttle reverse using FSUIPC. All the axis have been removed from the FSX Controls and are set using FSUIPC. This can be set as a single axis throttle or multiple throttle's, your choice. Once in the FSUIPC UI press Rescan and move your throttle axis, you should see the IN/OUT values change from -16384 to 16384. As I have 2 types of Airbus Addons I have selected "Profile Specific" and named it Aerosoft Airbus A32X. Remember to set "Type of action required" to "Send direct to FSUIPC calibration" selecting "Throttle" as your action. Hello.How can I reset my FMC?I incorrectly set route.

Does anyone know what these are? I occasionally get these in FSX and P3D when flying in the Misty Moorings scenery areas. These pictures are just NE of Annette Island (PAKT). The "pillars" are animated and flow towards the sky. I can fly through the pillars with no harm or disruption. I'm running FTX SAK, PNW, and PFJ as well as Tongass Fjords and all Return to Misty Moorings add-ons. I am not running ENB or SweetFX. Thanks in advance! Scott
