This is an on going problem. In the FSX > Controls when I go to assign the airleron axis I get a " Y Rotation " in the box. When I go to the elevator assignment , I get a " Y Rotation " in the box, same as the airleron. I can not delete either one. As a result, there's a conflict so when I go to fly the elevator and airleron don't work . I have no problem with the throttle and rudder. I've tried calibrating, but that doesn't work because of this problem.

My son is getting a new computer and will be installing FSX Gold with Expansion Pack. Will he need the SP1 and SP2? Thanks, Ralph

Hi! My problem is that I can only have one livery per model! The only livery that appears in the game when i am selecting an aircraft is the one called [fltsim.o] in my ''aircraft.cfg'' folder. so when I want's to fly with another livery, I have to go in to my ''aircraft.cfg'' folder, and rename it to [fltsim.0] and rename the one that was used to [fltsim.2] for example. So the only livery that is available in the game, is the one calle [fltsim.0]. I am using PMDG 737NGX if thats relevant. So how can I fix this problem? It wasn't like this before :( Hope somebody knows

My Saitek throttle quadrant's died after 1 years use and have had a lot of trouble with spiking. So I'm looking for something with a little more quality that may last longer, any suggestions?

Lately I was playing around with a weather radar extension for my moving map. After some headaches, doubts, sleepless nights etc, I came to a solution that - within the limitations of FSX - correctly depicts both precipitation and convective cells. Here's a couple of shots: Gray and rainy: Major thunderstorm: Heavy snow: Now, I'm really no expert on weather radar and wondering which features/limitations of real world weather radar you would like to see in the sim. A classification in must have / should have / could have would be nice too.

Hi Stephen Just downloaded the latest Beta. Love the idea of the new 'on screen' window to adjust eyepoint in Opus views - but I can't see how to save the changes. Are we just tinkering with current view then losing it when we swap to another view or are we permanently fine tuning the programmed Opus view? What steps after adjusting the selected view please? It's not clear. Keep up the great work. Kind regards. Dean

Hi all, I've used SweetFX twice. The first time it worked, but then I needed to reinstall FS, I tried again, this time it doesn't work. When I press ScrollLock to activate the effect, nothing happens. I tried looking around for some time but got no luck, nor was I sure where could it be wrong, where should I start troubleshooting... I know this is an open question, but if you had any experience with this, I'd love to hear about it. Some side info, I basically installed FSX (tuned and tweaked as well) then I install SweetFX1.4. Every time I switch views (2d panel,spot view and any other view) I lose the ENB and have to press Shift/F12 to get it back. This happens with all aircraft. Any ideas ??? Haven't added anything new.

hey all. so im trying to install fsx buut coming up with a few issues. i think iv solved the first one buy cleaning the disk. now the second problem is. this error code " Failed to load DLL: GameuxInstallHelper"then the game terminates and u have to place disk 1 back in for fsx to ask for disk 2. it gets to the direct x 9 part then that error happands. iv also looked on microsoft support and it says to close all microsoft services in msconfig. and also look for a file in reg edit called "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games" i cannot seem to find this folder. so im kinda stuck on what to do now. alex billington

hello i have realized that in fsx the time of dubai is wrong . it might be my version thats facing a bug . but for example when its 2 pm in dubai (actual real time) it shows up as 1 pm in fsx. but if i change a city it shows up right . i would also like to add that dubai is +4 gmt and riyadh,saudi arabia is +3 gmt but when i load up riyadh its shows the correct time but is also the sime time as dubai which means that : in my fsx dubai is in the wrong time zone instead of +4 its +3 gmt . so is there a way i can fix this thanks

Greetings All, Just installed the FSX CLT scenery from ImagineSim. I'm not getting any daytime runway or approach lighting even with the visibility set to 1/16th of a mile. Is there a setting or configuration I'm missing? Thanks, Mike C

Hi guy I followed the REX team announcement about a software that will change FSX but was not connected to it, with some kind of contest about who will be able to decode a blurry image I checked their forum for 6 month without new info, and now I forgot the name and what it was all about. Question fellow flight simmers. You know how it appears that most of the virtual cockpit textures are 32 bit for Posky 777s'? Well, I use a 64 bit version of Windows 7. Since this computer is used mainly for FSX, should I re-install my operating system and install the 32 bit version of Windows 7?

I've noticed that the FSX AI system is completely unable to push back from gates or parking spots. Instead, the planes just turn around in place and taxi out - and it looks very, very stupid and unrealistic. Are there any addons that fix this annoying behaviour? Running FSX SP2 w/ Acceleration. Also, sorry if this is in the wrong place. Feel free to move. ~CK

Any idea why FSX sky turns dark gray at ALT of 1000FT in some areas. If i go above 1000FT weather goes back to normal

Hi! After installing the latest release, I've had a lot of cloudshiting on CRZ. I'm using the same settings as I always have been, and my WX-refresh is set to 20min. It seems tough, when I get up in high altitudes /+15000ft the weather updates all the time, like every 30-40sec and the clouds never "keeps it's position". When using the earlier build, the clouds on CRZ changed more smooth and never went from overcast to sct f.ex. in 0.1 sec. Tips for settings?

Does anyone know if there are any EditVoicePack audio files for the Dornier 228 and 328JET? I think there is one for the standard 328, but I can't see the other two.

Hopefully some one can answer a couple questions for me. I am using both some default FSX AI aircraft (less than 20%) as well as some from MyTraffic. I have a moving map that I can zoom out and I see that I have AI traffic over 100 miles out. Is this much AI traffic impacting my performance? If so, is there a way to tell FSX to only use AI aircraft that are 50 miles out? If this is a question already asked, I apologize but could not find a reference. If this is a "stupid" question please accept the fact that I am a "newbie" to tweaking FSX and have learned a lot thanks to AVSIM's forums. After trying twice to post on the official forum but failing to see any of the posts appear, I am reposting here hoping someone can help. I have been using Opus for weather only from the very beginning, not having been interested on any of the other features and have been very happy. However since the last two upgrades every time I switch/cycle views Opus alters my custom VC view. Neither Live Camera or DHM are enabled. Is there any way to stop what to me is a nuisance, or alternatively is there any way I can obtain an earlier version of the software which didn't cause this issue? Thanks

After buying MSE 2 Cal, could someone tell me if AS los angeles would work if placed higher in scenery within fsx. Whats the fps hit with AS los angeles, is it bad? Also thinking of buying AS San Fran, any thoughts on that also? Kind Regards
