I did a search here and another general web search with Google and came up relatively empty on this question. What are the plus and minus effects of this setting at the bottom of the FSX Scenery Library screen? My FSX load time seems very slow, primarily in "Loading Terrain Data..." I use UTX and have a number of MSE2 states but only activate those MSE2 in the area I am flying, usually around three or four states. The load appears slow even in an area where I do not have other add-ons such as airports. Is there a consensus on whether the scenery cache should or should not be emptied on exit?

I'm hesitant to jump on the A2A C172 has problems, but I just had the most heart pounding take off in my real or virtual flying career. C172 at KDPA, set the a bit nose down to compensate for the problems I've had with the nose pitching up during take off. Nose starts rising on takeoff, applied more pitch down trim, nose keeps rising, speeds keeps dropping, some more trim, airplane starts bobbing.. At this level of trim I should be headed for the grouind, but no.. now going into a stall. Couple time-related problems I've been having, and only recently it had become more obvious and starting to affect my simming experience. Timezone offset in FSX time isn't so correct I'm pretty sure most of you would have realised this. Because of this, the transition in dawn/dusk isn't correct. Are there any correction patch available for this problem? Best to include daylight saving options as well. This is more PMDG 777 related, but I guess it bores down to FSX settings. I had somehow set FSX time to sync with system time. And when I speed up the PMDG simulation, the time was still sync'd, therefore essentially I was travelling back in time. I was just wondering…

Purchased several CLS products in the past. Would like to re-install them on my new rig, however when I tried to sign into the "webshop" my signin does not work. Asked for a password reset but never got the email (yes I checked the spam folder). Tried to re-register but it tells me my email is in use. There is no way (that I can find) to contact CLS on the website. Would like to get access to my account, but right now I don't know how, as nothing seems to be cooperating with me.

Hello all! About 3 hours ago I exited FSX after some traffic patterns at VHHH, went back to fly a flight on ivao and I noticed that the area around Arlanda (ESSA) was black... I Went to another airport to see if it still was there, and it was. So I did some research and I found out that if I were to move north,so will the black textures vice versa for south,west,east etc.. Howdy: I don't know if this is the correct forum for this or not but here goes. I just finished with a new build (i4770k @ 4.4GHz, 16GB DDR3 2400) and I was running into a problem where FSX would crash with a fatal error after completing a flight plan and right after it asks you whether or not you want FS to move your plane to the departure location. After pressing Yes ... crash. I troubleshot the problem to the installation of FSInn and FSCopilot. Even though I followed the instructions of launching FSInn UI as an administrator from the Start menu directly after installing, I still received and OCX error when launching FS. Gents, my fonts have gone screwy inside FSX, which affects the chronometer in the Q400, the cabin alt gauge in the NGX and the main ND in the Airbus X. This happened post-install of the 777, but no one else seems to have this problem! This is what I'm seeing now: It used to look like this: Could someone have a scan of their FSX fonts folder and see if there's anything I'm missing? Does anyone fly in Japan, took my 737 for a short spin, RJAA to RJAN the approach was absolutely amazing! descending through the clouds at 3000 feet finally at 1000 come under the clouds to see a runway between two mountains and sea all over, on a projector in 3D absolutely amazing!

I am a long time GEX NA user (no UTX, have not upgraded to "V2"). I believe that it's a good product, but with the early version of GEX only on my computer, it seems there are in fact much better options on the market in either the later versions of GEX NA or FTX Global. I'm thinking of going for FTX Global, but am hoping that you guys could answer a few questions. FYI: I'm currently working on a P&W Wasp Jr. sound set. Recorded from the real thing. Will have both single and twin sets in the package. Release time frame is two weeks (or so). Sound sets are bit of a pain in the butt to do. Having gone vintage the last couple weeks with two freeware planes (Spartan Executive 7, and Beech 18), my biggest peeve are engine sounds... So I'm in the studio trying to emulate those thumpers properly. Stay tuned.

Is there any way to get pop up gauges in this plane? The usual Shift 1,2,etc. do not bring up the gauges. Thanks,

So, today I installed the triple 7 and when I opened FSX and went on the menu bar to launch IVAP, it wasnt there. None of them is there including FSUIPC. The only one that works is ezdok camera. Please help! //Tomas

Hello, The problem that I will be talking about has happened to me ever since I purchased my 737NGX back in 2011, It has also happened to me on 2 high end machines... I also recently purchased GSX and I LOVE it, however the problem messes up GSX along with the NGX.....which is REALLY annoying. My problem is that I will be in the middle of a flight, I start looking around the cockpit and I see that the entire Circuit Breaker panel is missing..... Hello. I was wondering on peoples impressions with this aircraft. The NGX has set my standard very high and I'm curious if this addon is up to that standard. Especially since PMDG are releasing a Dash 8 if my memory serves me correctly. Tamati F

^^^ that's the silly question. I have issues with my joystick and windows 8,and I've read this is a possible fix but I don't quite understand how to go about it.

I attempted to do the 15 hour flight of Doha, Qatar (OTBS) to Houston, Texas (KIAH) in the PMDG 777-200LR with the Qatar livery. It went badly. At first, my FMC was telling me I'd land at KIAH with 20,000 pounds of fuel left in my tanks. When I was over the pacific, the FMC was telling me I'd land at KIAH with 900 pounds of fuel left. In frustration and disappointment, I just shut down the sim and came to AVSIM to post this topic. So I am using Active Sky 2012 and was wondering how I could put wind into flight planning for ultra-long haul routes. Any ideas?

Hey, i downloaded tweaked version of sm1.dll and patched the default without backing up the default, now i heard it is going to change the distances of landing and takeoff roll, i am using PMDG 777 and they made it to work with the default one. can someone upload me the default one? or direct me to a place where i can download the default? or what are my other options? cheers!

I purchased various add on airports last spring for FSX but with some of them, I needed to disable due to very poor frame rates. But I noticed after disabling these airports, the frame rates for these FSX default airports are still terrible, and only those airports where I had an add on. I could not figure out why my frame rates were so bad with certain FSX default airports until I found out it was only with those airports I disabled the add ons. With two airports, KFSO and KATL, I even deleted the add on from the scenery library and FSX files but the frame rates are still really bad in the default airports. Is there anyway I can trouble shoot this? With KSFO, …
