Hi All It has been some time since I have been using my FSX Flight Sim. It occurred to me I may have out of date software. Can anyone advise what the latest version is and if I have to update where I get it from. My FSX Version is File Version 10.0.6472.0 Product Version 10.0.6472.0 (fsx- sp2 20071210-2023 Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Regards Buzz

I was wondering if having fsx in program (86) would cause not just fsx to run funny, but would mess with connections to the joysticks and other input devices you might use?

As the title says? When i try & browse to it, all i seem to see is a Chrome message asking to translate from RUSSIAN into English, with the rest of the page completely blank, with nothing else loading. Anybody know what the issue is? Cheers

Just a small note regarding the use of FSUIPC 4.92 and PMDG's 777. I was mainly using P3D, until I decided to get FSX back on my system and be able to profit from some of the greatest add-ons that have recently been released. It was a long time since I last used it ( by version 3, I believe) to the point of programming and calibarting the joystick axis through it. These days I use a combination of three controllers: - Saitek X52 Pro - Saitek Cyborg X - Saitek Rudder Pedals Well, I defined and calibrates elevator, aileron, rudder, toe-brakes, spoilers, steering tiller, throttle, prop and mixture through FSUIPC. I have a little problem with my FSX. I use now new hardware and my flightsimulator stops for loading sounds. Eg PMDG altitude callouts or if i test the systems... But not only with PMDG. Other Addons like AES do the same. Its look like some sounds how was not load before, will load and stop for short time my fsx... This drive me crazy. Hello again my hobby-gooers. I am looking for a high quality Prop_type airplane such an an ATR 72-500, or similar. I was able to find one for X-Plane which looks really good, but I can't find any type of airplane like that for FSX. Any pointers will be appreciated.

I've been having problems with my mouse lagging and it was suggested to turn Processor Scheduling Priority to background services (i.e. mouse) instead of applications. Wouldn't this have a negative effect on FSX? Edit: I have FSX running at a higher priority. Maybe this would override the processor scheduling for just FSX but still allow the mouse to have more resources? Hoping...

I found a sim changing tweak today for my 737 Ngx. I had been getting 8-15 fps in the vc, but after changing my performance settings in the fms to 8 down from 15 I'm staying around 28-30!! I am very thankful the new 777 came out because the tweaked over there gave me the idea. Thanks guys.

I did a flight last night from ZBAA to RKSI everything with the weather was fine until the approach. The metar was reporting visibility at the airfield was 1 mile but I was able to see the field from about 5 miles out clearly. It wasnt until I was about 2 miles out when the visibility changed and lost sight of the airport. Is this a bug?

I found these entries in my fsx.cfg: [FSDREAMTEAM] AntiPopUp=1 AltitudeCull=1 I'm curious as to what they are and whether, if they're required, they'll build themselves if I rebuild my fsx.cfg or if I have to enter them manually. I looked pretty carefully and there don't seem to be any entries from other addon developers except in the trusted section.

Hi there I have the latest beta of Opus installed and have no problems getting the winds/temp data into the T7 for higher altitudes which is great. However, at lower altitudes and flying in the tropics as I have been for the last couple of flights there seems to be too high outside air temperatures (more than 8 degrees c) up to and even above say 24,000ft and I'm finding that vnav is going haywire on ascent but more on descent - the aircraft accelerates rapidly as it meets the hot air. This only happens when the temp changes from being minus x degrees to suddenly plus x degrees. I have to disconnect vnav and manually input vs speeds to combat the weather changes. Wit…

Hello! First of all let me say that I do enjoy using this nice software. It's a must have for any FSX/P3D user. I did try other 2 well known weather engines... never going back! So far I've been playing only with LiveWeather and always using only real-time weather. As I fly exclusively online (VATSIM), its rather important to have a good weather engine, that can take control over FSX crazy wind shears and etc. So far all is well and I am happy - if there happens any, its a VERY short one, and almost no impact on aircraft's behavior. Hi there, I installed all that WOAI stuff but need to uninstall it now. Get by starting FSX the message: 'There are multiple objects with the the same title name. They must have unique title names...blabala'. I googled that you can use expert mode with WOAI installer and remove all aircraft. But with that method I have to remove more than thousands aircraft manually, could not find any option to select all that aircraft. Is there any other opportunity? so long

Is there a way I can download an older version of opus? 3.19. The updates after this cause exca to be very jumpy and flickery. I turned off dhm but still a problem. When I jump to external view the whole screens jumps around...very annoying.

HI, I am sure there have been many people asking about the holy grail of frame rates, but i am a little stuck, even after looking all over the place for solutions. However, i also see people posting amazing frame rates with lesser systems than i am running. Just got a new system; Geforce GTX 780 3gb Ram 32GB 1866 Ram i7-3930k processor I do have some programs installed. Ultimate Terrain, Ground and Environment. Again though, i have seen people running this with great frame rates. I am currently achieving around 12-20fps from an external view of the plane and i can get to 30 if in standard cockpit or virtual cockpit (only if in it for a while though).…

Hey, good day to everyone (or night!) I was curious to know whether GEX+UTX would impact RAM usage whether negatively or positively. Confirmation would be nice on the idea that GEX+UTX do not hurt FPS performance as well. After a system recovery, I re-installed My Add-ons. I have Orbx Global and Mega- Ohio and Mega - Kentucky. When I'm in Ohio and Kentucky the Mega is not there, just the Global. How do I activate it ?

Hello fellow simmers, Well, I am really stumped about the "Out of Memory issues" I have been getting lately with FSX and about setting the correct virtual memory size for my PC. I am mainly focused on trying to set the best virtual memory size for FSX because no other PC application has issues with virtual memory size, irregardless of what setting I choose, It is only FSX. So I am confused what to set my paging file to because: - I cannot confirm this but what seemed best is leaving Windows to automatically manage the size (which is the recommended size of 24387 MB), however this takes up the most space and is this really necessary? I still get OOM issues with this…

Hi guys, i need your help. I have a new PC and was installing everything again, fresh windows. Fsx then FTX Global but after the install of that i get this error. I deleted FTX with there uninstaller but the error is still active.. FSX repair didn't help anything, but the crazy thing is when i check the hidden fsx folder, i see the scenery.cfg there, but FSX say's it cant find it anymore? What can i do about this? withoud deleting and starting over with installations again..

Is it any good, I've been using Mario Noriega's freeware Avanti which is great, but I'd like to try the Wilco version so I am looking for some opinions. Thanks.

Hi all As a regular visit to Sweden for both business and pleasure, I regularly fly in and out a couple of Stockholm's smaller airports, namely, Skavsta and Vasteras. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any new Swedish scenery that may be coming up on the horizon. Although neither of the above are particularly interesting airports per se, their approaches are absolutely beautiful from the air, particularly during late winter afternoons. Like Norway, Sweden is a stunningly beautiful country, but apart from Aerosoft's long in the tooth Arlanda, I know of no other native FSX airports ? Regards Gary

Hello.I just started flying on Feelthere ERJ-195 and I have problem on fuel pump.It don't over and it's uncomfortable.It's like clock tick-tack.I asked for help on Feelthere official forum,but developers answer was "It's known problem" and can anyone help?

I set a zoom of 0.60 for all camera views in VC. They are then displayed in 0.50 zoom !? If I disable DHM I expect the views to be rock solid. But they still move a little due to acceleration. I would like them to stay exactly where I set them when I set up the views and disabled DHM. Am I missing something ? I use full-screen in FSX. Thanks

Opus and pmdg777 is really a good combination turn on the stable grib data. And all goes well Good job opus! Have been updating the weather manually and using time compression. Abit of speed increase and decrease like 1 or 2 knots very impress !
