I've updated a freeware utility I wrote several years ago which kept time within FS constant for those that are interested This was also listed on several other FS related websites without my knowledge at the time and named FSFreezeTime or similar. I've added an option to freeze the time for x amount of minutes upon which the time within FS continues as normal minus however many minutes it was frozen for. Ive also added an option to display a message when the app is started and finished in FS which will show for 15 seconds. Hi All I wonder if someone could help me with a problem I'm having entering flight plans into the Aerosoft Airbus X Extended. I have the same AIRAC cycle in my FSBuild and the Airbus, but when I try and enter flightplans the quick way by using the airways, I often get the "NOT ALLOWED" message in the FMC (sorry, Boeing term I know...MCDU possibly?!). But then when I manually enter each waypoint, it has no trouble with the waypoints. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong? I would say pretty much every flightplan so far, there's been at least one airway/waypoint combo that throws the NOT ALLOWED message up, and I have to do it the "long way". I have a…

The size of fonts of advises in FSX of a PC of mine has been reduced several points. I don't know if I have touched some key and produced it. This is on a PC with W7. I have also FSX in a XP where everything goes OK. I have compared the files CONFIG (where are the size and quality of fonts of different sections) of both programs and are the same as for size. I have unistalled and reinstaled several times the program but everything goes the same .I have also changed the general size of fonts in the PC but in FSX advises keep appearing too small. What can I do? Thanks.

So after seeing Gabriels pictures, i just had to give this ENB thing a try. And tonight i downloaded all the stuff and gave them a try. And WOW!!!!! I cant believe i have been missing out this long, everything is just so much brighter and lively. I feel like i need sunglasses sometimes when looking at the sun. Now just a quick question. I use REX, and i was wondering, when i update REX, will it overwrite the texture files i installed for the ENB mod with its own? So will i have to make sure to go into REX options and deselect dawn, day, and dusk textures? Thank you Adam

It is time for some of the great minds that reside here at Avsim to come together again to help with yet another problem; successfully uninstalling the Flight 1 UTX product line. With the release of Orbx FTXG, many found uninstalling GEX a no brainer. Now with Orbx Vector and it's world-wide coverage right around the corner (which completely replaces all UTX regions and cannot be used in conjunction with UTX) those that get Vector will want to uninstall UTX. Some have asked over at the Orbx forum but JV has stated that they will provide no assistance with that and to ask at the Flight 1 forum. I wonder if anybody should have a solution to a small problem I have with my weather settings. I am using FS Global Real Weather. The problem is, that whenever there are some CB or towering cumulus reported, or often just cumulus, I have loud thundering og lightning`s all over the place :rolleyes: I seem to weakly remember there might be a setting somewhere, that could either stop, or at least reduce that. But I can`t find it. I have also used REX and Active sky2012. Could there possible be some leftovers from these programs, that could cause this weather? Best regards Soeren

I have a couple of 120GB SSDs on my PC, as well as two 1TB SATA drives. The first SSD is split into two partitions: the first is my C drive with Windows 7 x64, the second has FSX on it. At first sight not perhaps the best idea I ever had, but the PC is only used for FSX and FS9 (the latter - a much larger installation than FSX with all the addons I have accumulated over the years). I am now getting a bit short of space on my C drive (the old story!!) and want to move some FSX folders off the SSD onto one of the SATA drives. First of all I didn't know where else I should put this thread so I just put it here (meaning adminbot can move it anywhere else) I tried searching on the internet but no luck... It annoys me every time I have to reset/reconfigure my controls every time I restart FSX(I use my new saitek's buttons for engines, lights, autopilot etc.)... How do you save the controls? any help would be appreciated.

I just came back last night from a motorcycle trip to Martinsburg, West Virginia. I wanted to tour the national battlefields of Antietam, and Gettysburg. I did that this last weekend and had a blast. It was on the 'bucket-list' and now has been checked off.... I thought how does FSX(G) look around that area. Well...I dialed in KMRB and took off towards Gettysburg. I highly recommend that others who have FSX(G) do so as well. Have HYRBRID mode turned off! This morning, there was mist over the mountains (thank you OPUS!) and the Fall rendition is quite stunning. Hey everyone, I'm having some weird glitch after I install SP2. When Sp2 is installed, the plane bounces randomly, even when it's stationary. It will just sit there and bounce and make a "skidding" sound every 5 or so seconds. I've reinstalled FSX 2 times and it still persists. Anyone else every experience this? Any help with this? Hi, I downloaded and installed the file scenery innsbruck_airport.zip from the avsim library and am getting the following effect at the airport...any assistance on how to solve this please...there is the name of the airport which should be attached to the terminal building...but i am getting no terminal building infact!! Hey guys was hoping someone could have a fix or a suggestion for me with this issue I have been having. Just a pre cursor to this, this is the only plane and download that I have ever had this problem with. During every flight the rudder begins to start going to the left (you can see the rudder pedals in the cockpit slowly changing) even though the actual pedals I am using are centered. I go to calibrate the rudder pedals which works only for a little bit and then it begins to do it again. If anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated! Hi all, With the high qualities of the PMDG 737NGX and the recent release of 777, it's gotten me wondering how are their lines of turboprop products? I have and enjoy the MJC Q400, I would say it is at similar if not the same level of complexity/quality as the higher-end PMDG products. So that begs the question, how does the most recent turboprop JS41 measure up to the other big games from PMDG and other companies? I see in the PMDG Ops Centre, there is an entry for the NGX, the 777 and the JS41, so that's why I ask: Is the JS41 aimed at the same pool of customers as the NGX and T7; in turn indicating the level of realism in their system modeling? x( A while back I purchased Citation X from Wilco/Feelthere - nice model, reasonble frame rates but everytime I go to bank manually (as opposed to a/p where problem does not occur), pitch or turn when taxiing, I have some major stutters and frame rate drop. I tried to get some sense out of Wilco support but repilies were sparse to say the least.
