Hi all, Finally made an account here:) So I bought Opus a couple days ago and it's AMAZING! It runs well even on my aging laptop. I also added the HDEv2 freeware addon. I've been monkeying around with the import METAR feature and tried to get the visibility down as far as it will go. The lowest I was able to get it was 1/8SM (~200M). I'm assuming there's at least one more step down from there. (Source: Youtube video landing in LOWI) Thanks!

Has anyone tried to access the FSWidgets web page or use one of its apps only to get an "internal server error.? I'm asklng partly to rule out that it's not a problem on my end.

Hello, is there any possibility to leave the ShowLensFlare=TRUE entry as it is or could we have an option to enable the entry when I edit the camera position?

built a new pooter for fsx and got everything reinstalled. starting my tweaking.. I make changes in inspector.. not sure if they are taking effect or not I have a I7-3770K running at stock 3.5 right now.. haven't even begun trying to oc it also.. I have an asus sabertooth z77 mobo w/8gigs of ram and evga GTX 660 2GB what I have been doing is selecting the ms flight simulator x profile and making changes then click apply. then run fsx.. is that it?

Back to FSX with new rig. Quick question: Should I install FSGenesis global, UTX, FTX Global, and REX in that order after FSX install and tweaks per Paul Johnson and Word Not Allowed's recommendations? Or, does it make any difference? I will be running FSX off a dedicated SSD (250GB)--can I load everything else on the other data drive (1TB 7200rpm)? Does FSX need to be on the same HD as the OS? I'm cruising along at Mach2.02 and get a phone call. Come back to FSX and my Concorde is 340 miles straight off course because I wasn't there to load the next ADEU card. So I load the next card and punch in the waypoints (6 and 7) I want to fly but the Concorde does not by itself turn around and try to refly that waypoint leg I punched in. Shouldn't the flight director automatically have turned around the plane and head towards waypoint 6 then once reached, head towards waypoint 7?

Is it possible to put the map that A2A uses in their aircraft in other addon aircraft like the Iris Christen Eagle II? which is what I'm trying to do

Hello everybody, I have been watching fsx videos on youtube and came across Tony Grant's channel. He has amazing videos up and his FSX just runs so smoothly in every video and I have been wondering how it runs this smooth. His frame rates seem to be amazing also. I can't seem to find his system specs tho. I run my system at 4.5ghz and with a gtx580 but my rig doesn't run that well. Does anybody have any information on this? Flying FSX, I often run into sudden changes in the visibility, not due to clouds but to a haze covering everything. Since I am using realtime weather information (FSrealWXlite), I assume this happens because a weather update contains a nearby METAR with low visibility. As suddenly as it appears it can disappear leaving unlimited visibility. Can anyone confirm this? I've searched for a way to make the change gradual (more realistic) but haven't found a handle for that. In addition, the haze appears to be of uniform density; there is no light haze or heavy haze, it can't accommodate variation in visibility, so there must be a threshold below which it kicks in.

Am seriously considering purchasing some BluePrint airport add-ons but before I flash the cash, wanted some rock-solid endorsements from anyone who has bought any of the BluePrint add-ons. Recommendations, etc. Thanks

I have searched the FSX forums with the key word 'traffic' and have come across some very good posts that seem to imply the top two traffic programs are Ultimate Traffic II, and myTraffic X Pro. Since I exclusively fly GA aircraft, my question is which traffic program is the best for GA pilots, and why? I couldn't find much on this by looking at the other posts. Thank You,

Hi guys, For those of you who bought the new Mexico City scenery, is there an option to turn off all of the photo areas around the outside of the Airport perimeter? LatinVFR have this option in there installers (KMIA v2, KSAN). I choose not to use the Photo real stuff because I like how FTX Global fills in around the airport and it looks more uniform if you know what I mean? Cheers

Hey Guys, I'm running the latest registered version of FSUIPC and just recently installed the Lua dynamic friction file in modules and added the line AUTO Lua dynamic friction into the fsuipc.in in thr general section as was mention in other forum posts on this subject. However when using the PMDG 737 when I first start to taxi it works fine. However when I touch the breaks. I have to use almost 50% power to move again. The only way to fix this is to apply the parking Break and come to a full stop. I know I've seen this issue posted before but for the life can't find where it is. I know I'm probably missing something very obvious. But any help wou…

Well its out and we're all enjoying it but it got me thinking, what next? What is the next BIG thing everyone is waiting on? is there even another BIG thing on the horizon? The only thing I can think of that could have as much attention as the 777 is FSL's A320. Two birds in development I'm also looking forward to are EDSG's new Citation and Quality Wings 787. Hello all, trying to tweak my FSX to get the best fps/graphics combination, but I am in a dilemma. With dx10 i get better fps with average graphics, without dx10 i get crisp graphics with poor fps. here is a small comparison: Addons: fly tampa dubai/PMDG 777/ REX/ my traffic x/ FSX shade: with DX10: on ground 14-19 fps/ in air 18-25 fps without DX10: on ground 8-13 fps/ in air 12-18 fps here are my system specs: Intel core i5-2500 cpu @3.30ghz 3.70 ghz 8 GB ram 64 bit os Nvidia gforce gt 440 so please let me have your advice on : 1. the best FSX settings that fits my system 2. the best Nvidia software/driver/settings that fits the GT4…

I am not seeing any airplanes on the ground at airports. I have never owned any air traffic add-ons. I have my Air Traffic Density set to 30%, General Aviation Density set to 30%, and Airport Vehicle Density set to Medium. I am running under DX9 and own a number of Orbx sceneries and airports. Am currently running UTX and FSXG textures. Is there some setting or something that I am forgetting to do? What I have done to date to try to debug this problem so far: (1) Made sure there weren't multiple trafficaircraft.bgl files. Hello forum - I sure hope I am posting this properly and not violating any forum rules or anything. Sorry if I am and please let me know. I am brand new to the world of flight sim and have been into it for just over 2 weeks now. Hi Folks I am using FSX. Yesterday I installed the Global AI Antonov 225. I have following problem with it: When I load the Airport where it should Show up, then I see how FSX loads the plane for just one second and then it sinks out in the Apron ground and is no more visible. If i put an AIG Antonov 124 on the same flightplan and load the same Airport at the same time, the AIG AN 124 Shows up correctly. I am good in Terms of AI traffic, AFCAD etc. but now I dont have any hint why the AN 225 does that. I believe maybe something wrong the plane model config? Any hint / help? Hey guys, I'm having just an awful time making my ch yoke work properly in FSX. For once, it's unstable, the planes banks to the left or the right while flying while there is NO wind and the weather is clear. I would like to ask you if you could guide me how to set up the yoke properly in windows and in fsx specifically for flying the jets. I want the yoke to feel right while i fly it and that and to finally be able to enjoy a smooth flight. Thank you so much for your help.

I'm looking to make a move into a small jet aircraft. I've been mostly flying Real Air planes (Scout, SF260, Duke) and have really enjoyed them, but want to move on to something a little faster that can take me longer distances for two hour flights or so. My first choice would be the Flight 1 Cessna Mustang. This my kind of plane. My only real question about it is performance inside FSX. I absolutely need smooth flight, which I'm getting in most areas currently. The Duke surprisingly, eats up a decent amount of performance, and although I have it flying smoothly, I want to make sure the business jet I purchase gives me good results. Checked for the scenery CFG in App Data Roaming M/Soft FSX but I can only find one file which was made in 2011 when I re-installed FSX on a new computer. It has the default files and the first "Ground Environments Scenery" which I installed at the same time. Later sceneries, Ground Environments, Ground Textures and add-on airports etc etc are not mentioned. In FS9 I have in the main Scenery cfg file all my default and add-ons. My FSX works fine but is it normal that am I not getting entries, or is the "FSX file mentioned above only for Default and that a second scenery cfg for add-ons should be made. Has anyone experienced this? I've been a long time user of EZCA and have only ever used it in the NGX, as it was all I flew. No problems whatsoever. Since I purchased the Aerosoft A320 extended, it's all I've been flying. I've noticed a problem lately where EZCA will work for about 10/15 minutes of the flight, and then suddenly not work. By which I mean none of the buttons on my joystick will change camera views, like I have them assigned to do when EZCA is working. Funny thing is it still shows as running on the taskbar, but the EZCA entry on the "Add-Ons" menu within FSX is gone. I can't find a way to restore it, so I'm left to finish the rest of the flight …
