I've started allowing some minimal failures on my flights but I'm unsure if they are occurring or not. Where can I go to check and see if my current plane I'm in has acquired a failure or not? Will they be listed in the Failures section of FSX during the flight as they occur?

I know camera view is not a new topic but I have not found the answer I am looking for yet. I know you can configure camera views for FSX but I cannot work out the setting to get what I want. In "Tail" I get exactly what I want except the camera is too close. I want to be away from the plane not on top of the tail. But the behavior of this view is good because the plane moves exactly to your joystick. In "Fixed Spot" view I get the distance from the rear of the plan that I want but the behavior of the camera is off the planet. If I turn my joystick the plane pivots and the scenery does not follow the plane. I do not see the point of this weird behavior. So…

I was in my QW146 at about FL210, and I had to pause to go out to the mall. When I came back (about an hour later), I unpause and the A/T is not moving the throttles to the CLB NORM stage it should be in. My N1 is also reading 51% and it is not increasing. I disengage the autothrottle and try moving my throttles for manual engine control. The in-game throttles will not move when I physically move my Saitek X52 Throttle Quadrant, so I try resetting the throttle controls and reassigning them to my X52. This does not solve the issue. I then proceed to trying to move the throttles with my mouse, and this works. Does anyone know what caused this? Is this a common issue…

Hi everybody, Okay so here’s the deal, I’m going to post this question in a number of different forums because I have become so frustrated with the problem that I want to get a broad range of feedback from different sources and different people who may know something about this issue. At some airports I get great performance and on some.. like flytampa tampa I get really awful performance. No tweak or display settings adjust makes a different (very slight, but still bad). I'm currently using a 2500k and a temporary Intel DH77 ITX board that has no capabilities of oc'ing (it can only do the default turbo boost to 3.7). However, soon my new water cooled rig will be ready and the cpu will be moved to an msi z77 mpower (beast overclocker). So, it's funny, but I haven't found much threads about the kind of boost OC can possibly yield. I'm also wondering if fsx utilizes turbo-boost? Hey all, I was just wondering what performance people were seeing, from FSDT Zurich X (the 2011 updated version) ? I am surprised to be seeing 20 FPS in the Quality Wings Avro RJ in this airport, (with very modest settings; eg Autogen Sparse), on an i7 with a decent 2GB video card and Win 7 64bit........which I'm disappointed with. A lot of reports on the web state that this is a really frame rate friendly airport, but I think a lof of them are referring to the original (2007) version. Argh.... I wish all developers would simply put the manufacturer of the real airplane in this entry. A lot use their own development titles in this spot. It should be reserved for the make/manufacturer!! Microsoft was even kind enough to include a spot for developers: ui_createdby. Now I have to edit my entries and re-do them each time the dev issues a new patch for the plane... *sigh* End of rant.

Hi, for some a reason some of my Saitak Yoke botton does not work at all. There is a random time, when it works but it is random. So for instance I declared in EzDok catagorys but I am not able to use this bottons. My Throttle the same: thrust lever works, speedbrake and flaps does not. On my yoke PPT botton for FsInn does not work as well. Is there any solution for that? Restart solved the problem :-)

Two weeks at home, recovering from a surgery, were time enough ( although I would like to have more... ) not only to recover, but specially to profit from an experience I wasn't really expecting to have right now - the joy of using FSX at it's best, and with a couple of add-ons that are trully remarkable on their own - PMDG's B777200LR and the A2A C172P. I actually re-installed FSX, instead of continuing to use P3D, because of these two add-ns and another one that must be kept in secret, since I wasn't even expecting that at least the A2A C172P would bring a P3D-ready installer. I am thinking mesh, but maybe you all could recommend something else. I have REX, FTXG, various FTX regions, guess that's about it. I fly exclusively GA on the "low and slow" side, and mostly VFR. I use stock FSX real weather, with REX textures. I would like to get mesh, Opus, and some type of vector product (but I will probably wait for FTX's vector product), and maybe a landclass addon (also will probably wait for FTX's OpenLC). Hmmm, looking at the above, I have maybe answered my own question; it seems that a mesh product would be far the best for the next VFR product. Having just recently re-installed everything clean from Win7 Pro 64 OS to FSX on a SSD-based system, the new Logbook now only shows a record of the flights made since then. As I still have the hard rive where the previous FSX installation is still stored, is there a trick or way to extract that Logbook's records/rewards as I had well over 1000 hours on day flights and over 500 hours on night flights to add to the current FSX's Logbook record?

I believe I read about this a ways back but can't remember. I think the spots are suppose to be reflections of the stars but they shake on the water. I am not sure though so I decided to post a few screens to see if anybody had any feedback.

Hello, I have a problem with the display of Flight Simulator X When I change view and select "View Right Wing or Left" I'm noted that the wings are not clear, but serrated (serrate) Have any of you had this problem? Not tempting fate I have not yet had to use this as a way of restoring FSX. Has anyone ? Is it a successful way of restoring after a major problem or would I be better off getting some third party backup software ? Any comments appreciated Thanks Steve

This problem seem to have started sometime in the last 3 weeks, I have installed the T7, Q400 and A2A C172 around this time but I can't say for sure when it started or if it is at all related. When i start FSX it takes a while to load and sits in the splash screen for a few minutes, this is normal considering the amount of payware scenery and aircraft. The problem is, on first start up, after FSX is loaded, if I select any option and change it, ie select an aircraft and hit ok or change time of day and hit ok, select a saved flight and press ok....after I press ok, FSX hangs for a total of 14 minutes! The rotating aircraft stops rotating, the blue circle appears. …

Wondering if anyone is using OpenVFR scenery and how it is.

Hi All, Having searched google i cant seem to find any solution to this problem. But on my wilco airbus i cannot seem to get the overhead cockpit light to turn on. There are also no cabin lights when i look externally onto my aircraft. I could be being completely thick and missing something? Any help would be great! Thanks, Shane

I'm considering getting the Aerosoft Airbus, but from using the autopilot in the default A321 I am a bit concerned if the Aerosoft version's autopilot is as fiddly to use in the sim. Compared to the default Boeing autopilot it is a pain to use. I'm not thinking functionality and realism here, just how easy it is to operate with a mouse. In the default A321 it is also hard to see which buttons on the a/p that are active.
