Hello there, I have been playing FSX for a years and I have met with a lot of problems, but... few days ago I started my FSX and with my system specs I could play it min. on 25-40 FPS depending on scenery. But when I started it that time, my FPS were dropped to 12. I did not knew why, so I asked on one czech forum for some help, I tried everything from there and everything I googled for - defragmenting, controlling the processor overclock and temperatures, RAM and little bit GPU, unchecking all sceneries and fly without them, delete fsx.cfg and let the game create new and I also reinstalled the game and today windows too! So I installed the fresh game again, without any …

Since I increased graphics settings on my FSX, these spiral appears in the sky. Does anyone know what this means?

It's kind of like good cookies....just one more.. I just keep browsing and finding interesting looking scenery or planes all the time. Guess I like to tweak more than fly it seems. Is there a cure to just stop piling on stuff into FSX?

Hello, I'm not too thrilled w/ daytime textures in California for FTXG, though nighttime lighting is really nice. One thing I find pretty dissatisfying is the, I think, complete lack of curved roads in tracts of homes for example which look quite realistic in GEX. That's common all over CA but I have yet to see this in FTXG so I'm sitting here contemplating hitting the Enable button to compare GEX again, but I really don't know for sure what will happen--specifically, to the FTXG textures installed if I re-enable GEX. Of note, when I installed FTXG I did not uninstall GEX completely, just used this panel to disable GEX, and the FTXG install seemed to go fine. I am…

I'm using FSUIPC and Cyborg Fly 5 joystick. Works fine on take off but by the time I get to destination the joystick seems to disappear from FSX controllers. Awkward! Needs a reboot to rediscover. Any clues please? thanks. Dean Logan

In general, one thing I find I am missing in terms of simming is the ability to simulate a hard landing vs a soft landing. The Problem: From my knowledge, even the latest and greatest packages are missing the ability to simulate this. Background Research: The closest that comes to it is Accu-Feel, but from viewing the videos on hard vs soft landing, although the sound changes (louder/stiffer/harder), from the incockpit motion there doesn't seem to be a great deal of difference. When it comes to view, EZDok is most superior. However, even EZDok doesn't seem to produce the kind of vibrations a hard landing has vs a soft landing (from a visual perspective). …

Hey there, THinking of getting PFPX but wondered if licensing allows it the option to also be installed to a second computer? I like the idea of having it on my laptop while I fly the desktop but setting up a network has been kind of confusing. Is it designed for networking? Thanks, Alex M.

Hey guys I am running 3 25" monitors extended views and run fsx on main screen 1920x1080. My simulator starts up in windowed mode (which I get lower fps) So i make it into fullscreen. Then when I try to click on menus or change views the screen turns black and shows the fsx loading 100% screen my outer monitors show the desktop. This happes when I select in game menus, change views, or get the default atc window to come up... I have disabled the full vsync windowed mode off in fsx.cfg but not sure where else to look. I don't understand this. I boot up my PC today, and suddenly out of nowhere my FPS is a bit lower. I have a test flight scenario to test FPS with the Fraps FPS counter displayed. Usually I am at 41 FPS there but now I'm only at 36. That's a 15% loss. I have not changed any settings in FSX. I tried a new fsx.CFG, disabling virus scanner... I even tried disabling UTX alltogether which gained me 1 FPS but then it's still lower than my previous 41. Currently, I don't know it anymore. The only thing I can remember that has happened were windows updates yesterday, but should that really be causing a 15% FPS loss out of nowhere? Checked my BIOS settings, still at 4.6 GHz and I'…

I am an X-Plane user primarily, however I have a question/request for my FSX brethren ... I have re-installed FSX with REX Essentials + OD ... and have installed Carenado's C90B (I am basically a regional turboprop flyer, so the PMDG T7 has limited interest for me as do other tube liners . Can you please give me your recommendations for what you consider the BEST turboprop for FSX (and give reasons why). Cheers! Kris P.

We've had some amazing releases, and we've never had a better choice of add-on aircraft, whether airliner, GA, or anything in between! But everything considered, as of today, which single aircraft are you still spending the most time flying in FSX? For me, although I love the T7, I only fly her when I have enough time to be able to complete proper flight and load planning (3-4+ hours), which isn't as often as I'd like..... I stumbled upon facetracknoir which is the same thing as trackir except done through your webcam. Since i do not own a webcam i am unable to test this out. Has anyone attempted to try this software? Is OpusFSX currently generating localised mechanical turbulence? The reason I ask is I have noticed I some very strong low level windshear occasionally flying into some airports that have terrain or structures near the approach when the wind is coming from that direction. It is usually an overshot shear followed by a large undershoot shear. Or is this a function of FSX? It's sort of realistic but it seems a little strong when the wind speed is taken into account. Hi Is there an official forum for the Aivlasoft EFB addon? I'm running the 30day trial version at the moment but have several questions regarding the product before I decide wether to buy or not. In the mean time can anyone answer some of them. On the data provider I keep getting the msg - Exemption from fsx received LOAD_FLIGHTPLAN_FAILED but on the display unit on my other machine it show i'm connected (green light) and shows the correct aircraft position. I tend to fly mostly pmdg aircraft which uses different save plan files is this the reason for the msg as although I saved my flightplan with pfpx in both fsx format and pmdg format they are different f…

So far every airport that I taxi at, ground control makes the AI aircraft hang back really far, why? PMDG 737 NGX, PMDG 777 and PMDG 747X all cause this phenomenon. I am getting really tired of hearing Ground Control telling the same plane to stop and go, stop then go, stop and go.
