Alright guys, I have got a good news for all sweetFx, ENB users who left using it because of crashes ... I tried to discover all the possible causes behind it and came to a conclusion. The main cause of your ENB and Sweetfx crashes is Nvidia Inspector's Vsync settings. - Just turn it off. Do not use Vsync Tweak of Fullscreen and windowed mode in FSX cfg. It might give you smoothness(partially) but will cause the crash. I never ever imagined that I could fly with ENB or Sweetfx specially long hauls but I have been doing almost all the flights on them without a single Crash. Note I Use Full screen mode. Hi Guys I was wondering if anyone has a good GA amphibian plane recommendation - something suited to exploring Orbx Pacific Fjords? Not too big, but at the same time something with a reasonable amount of power? Amphibian Quality (both land and water landing ability) would be great too - rather than exclusively floats. The above desciption fits the Lion Heart Kodiak well - but I have had that already for a couple of years now and want something new and good quality. Ths smaller cessnas with floats look too sluggish and slow (same for beaver). Any other good float planes on the smaller side out there for FSX that I haven't heard about? Any recommendations woul…

Hi, i would like to know how to disable dynamic head movement on fsx. i have set momentum effect to NO, and deleted the head movement section on fsx.cfg., but still ocurring. i dont know what to do, it is driving me crazy. Thanks

I've been using BitDefender Total Security 2013 for the last year now and have generally been fairly happy with it. We all know that tweaking FSX can take several hours. My question is, do you spend more time tweaking than flying? Out of probally 60 hours over the past few weeks, I believe I've spent atleast 55 tweaking. Is that normal?

Forgive my ignorance, but how do I save the flight plans I have already configured for next time I use the plane? It is a pain having to enter all the routes every time you fly. I saw a video on how to upload the flight plans already saved, but can't figure out to save them.

So, my little adventure is complete. My goal was to fly to every towered airport in California (and a few more). Along the way my flying changed. When I started I was flying most of the enroute parts of flights and down to near the approach on autopilot. As I progressed, I flew more and more by hand until turning on the autopilot was a very rare event...I turned it on twice during the last half of the airports and only for a brief moment while I checked out something I couldn't easily see. Hi there, I've been running FSX smoothly for sometime and now out of the blue I'm experiencing 2 to 3 second freezes at different phrases of the flight. It appears to be random and I can't pinpoint a trigger. Sound will continue as normal and all is fine after the momentary freeze. Having Googled the issue someone with the same problem put blame on the FSDreamTeam Addon manager... Is there a way to uninstall this but keep the FSDT products in working order? Think about picking up the PMDG 737 to complement my QW Avro. I'm guessing the answer is yes, but just wanted to confirm. The 737 is fully flyable from the virtual cockpit yes? I will occasionally pop up a 2d panel to do some things like programming the FMC for example but I just want to make sure all the main things can be done from the VC if desired.

In another thread I asked for your opinions on what are the 'best' turboprops for FSX as I've never ventured far in FSX in the region of payware (I'm primarily an X-Plane user and never heavily invested in FSX payware ...). Hey guys, I am having issues with the q400 and opus turbulence camera settings. As I understand this is more then likely a conflict due to the way the q400 flight model is handled. I am trying to setup Opus so I can get realistic turbulence effects in the VC. No matter what settings I try I get very erratic and jumpy effects. In any other aircraft I get nice movements. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks guys.

I have it locked to 20FPS (with the built-in frame limiter) and my PC has no trouble achieving that most of the time, resulting in very smooth game play. However, every time, and I mean EVERY TIME I approach an airport and ATC gives me the instructions "XXX, you are XX miles east, turn left heading XXX...." my frame rate drops to about 1-2 FPS from the second the instruction pops up to about 15-20 seconds after ATC stops speaking. Good afternoon I need an opinion on what to get between GSX or AES. Guys I've just purchased this and also the 'Coolsky, McPhat Studios and Flight One Software is proud to present the DC-9 Classic Cargo Expansion!' There seems to be a problem with the freighter addon in as much as it does not work and there seems little support from McPhat in resolving this. Was wondering if any one else has had a problem and if so what is the fix or work aoriund until McPhat/CoolSky can patch the issue? The base pack works OK, it's when you add the freighter addon and try and load the freighter FSX CTD. Yes, you have you have to load a 'default' AC first otherwise it will not load at all. Back flying FSX after taking a year or so away from it, and I started from scratch with a new install. There's been some evolution of recommended tweaks, so I spent some time fiddling with the various options ranging from Bojote's configurator, to Paul Johnson's guide, Through every stage of the process, I made small changes and tracked the effect via benchmarks and in-flight experience. And where I ended up seems to fly in the face of conventional wisdom. In short, the only way to maintain a good frame rate and smooth, stutter-free performance was to set FSX frame rate to unlimited and not use any of the inspector tweaks such as the FPS Limiter or 1/2 Vsync.
