A lot of us here like GA flying. However saying I am a GA pilot is like saying 'I work in IT' or 'I work the medical field'...that covers a lot of ground as there are so many sub-fields within the medical umbrella. A dentist and a proctologist are both in the medical field, albeit at opposite ends...literally :lol: 'GA' covers such a large spectrum of flying, its hard to look at something like a Citation, Duke, P-51, Legacy, RV-7, 172, Scout..etc in the same light as they are all designed for different purposes. Hello everyone, I've been experiencing this problem off and on for a while now, it has gone away for some time (say the last year at least) but just prior to the 777 release, it's returned. I have did a fresh install of Windows (more specifically, a fresh HDD change for other issues) and it was there immediately. Not sure what is causing it, if it is settings based either in my graphics card settings, or FSX based in the main settings or tweaking. Surely this has been covered already probably many times, but I could not figure out exactly how to word my search (nor Topic Title for this post). I thought I had this figured out at one time, but am suffering from a senior moment I fear. Why sometimes in Autopilots do altitude settings only advance or decrease by thousands rather than hundreds, and heading settings only by tens rather than units? (I.e. Altitude 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 and will not adjust as 1,100, 1,200, 1,300 etc. and heading settings only as 0, 10, 20 etc. rather than 0,1,2 etc.? Thanks: RTH

Hi all, I'm tempted to buy the Accu Feel V2 Module for FSX. Since the release of the 777 I've not really flown anything else. I also have EZDOK installed for camera views and dynamic head movement. In your own opinions is Accu Feel worth it? Does it add much to an aircraft like the T7? Does it play nice with EZDOK? Any insight into this product would be great. I know I can read reviews of it etc but I couldn't really find any info on the benefits of using it in the T7 or indeed if it works. Many thanks.

Hi All, I understand how to head towards a VOR but what I don't understand and could do with some guidance is how to locate and land the plane on an airfield as VOR's are rarely slap bang in the middle of a runway. So for example if I navigate towards an airfield and have looked at the charts and want to land on runway 34 what do I need to do? Many thanks Daz

I am trying to use the Xbox 360 controller for the "Live Camera Control" in OpusFX. At this point it is working ok, have not completely worked out the all the kinks. My issue is with FSX and it keeps assigning the Xbox 360 Controller no matter what I do. I have deleted all the control axis and buttons from FSX for the Xbox controller and it keeps coming back. I edited the Xbox controller out of "Standard.xml" and FSX keeps putting it back. Yes, I deleted the assignments for Slew Mode also. What am I doing wrong?

looking for some help i have emailed milviz for access to their support forums and as yet have had no reply so thought i might give here a try. my problem is with the sp 177 autopilot on the 737 i can get channel a to engage the roll channel but the pitch channel b does not move is this a known bug or is it somthing im doing wrong i have read the manuals and can find no answer to this any help would be much appreciated

Is anybody else having poor textures with the AI. I was parked at a ga ramp and a citation was parked next to me and it was just a blur. My settings are full global textures. I don't see an option to install higher quality like so programs give the option to install high or low textures for those with different systems. I had traffic X and it had much better texture quality. Even the planes fuselage looks very basic. I know it's not suppose to be like a add on quality because if the memory it would take up. But this looks close to fs 2004 quality or lower. Any suggestions?

I understand that the new Razbam Metroliner will be available starting Friday the 4th October. Does anyone know if this is just the beta version or is this the full release version?

I'd like to ask all of you a question: Do you find that it's necessary to start FSX with one of the Default Aircraft for proper running of FSX? Or....could I, let's say, use the new Real Air Duke as my startup plane?ew Real Air Duke as my startup plane? If I do, will the proper files load from the FSX program? My jaw is still dropping from using this combination. Very hard to tear myself away from exploring whole new parts of the planet now w/ this fabulous T7 from PMDG. The depth of this thing is extraordinary and what's really surprising is just how performance friendly it really is. Many thanks the what has surely been tireless dedication to getting it very right w/ these two products. Dawn, Night & Dawn flying is superb now w/ the 3D lights and the power to display them well. Just keeps getting better!

Hei. Anybody run REX + Accufeel v2? Since you disable turbulence effect on aircraft in FSX when using REX, will the accufeel turbulence effects still work?

Does anyone know how to suspend the passage of time in FSX, so that one could fly at a specified time indefinitely? I really would love to fly at dawn for an entire flight, without the passing of time. Thanks! Sam

I want to try Airbus Extended but I have some doubts. I am not much into Airbus mostly but I want to give it a try cause I mostly do short hauls. 1. Is there any FPS issue and how is it compared to NGX? 2. Is there any addon to generate flight plans like FlightSim Commander?

Went to left click the part of the cockpit that brings up the FSCrew Control Panel , but nothing. My choice was the button mode and did it using administrator rights.Checked the FSCrew Panel CFG. and it was there. I really wanted to copy it to show here but nothing worked.I tried select all, copy , but there was no paste. I believe it was in notepad.

Hi, I just took the ENB form BlueSphere but what I dont like is that it makes even the ground textures blue, I want that they be original green and not blue. The only thing I want is that the sky haze is blue like this picture below, you can see that in real life only the sky haze and horizon is blue but the ground textures stays colored and not in blue. The question now is, do I need to change the enb ini. file or even the enb palette?

I have about 20 addon scenery areas added for different airports. When I looked at my FSX\scenery.cfg, it only shows up to area.115 "Addon Scenery" but not any of the areas for airports added after that. Where are they stored if not in the scenery.cfg? In FS9, they were all in one scenery.cfg. Reason for my question is this: I just installed the FSX SDK and SP1a and SP2 along with Airport Design Editor 9x. After doing so and completing the setup, I closed ADE and launched FSX, but it crashed with two error messages that scenery.cfg couldn't find area.116 or area.134. Don't know if there is any relationship between the two activities or just coincidence. Any advice is …

I have a high end system and I like to fly with plenty of traffic and most of the sliders towards the right. Most of the time I get reasonable frame rates - for instance I can land the NGX at UK2000's EGCC with frame rates in the high teens. However with Fly Tampa's OMDB, Aerosoft's PANC and Aerosoft's LFPO frame rates are down as low as 2 even with the default Cessna, no traffic and all the sliders to the left. I have tried re-installing and disabling Ultimate Terrain makes no difference. I see nothing like this in any of the developers' forums. Can anyone suggest a common factor? Bob

Took the NGX from Kuala Lumpur to Penang today and thought I would check the destination weather en route. Rex Essentials said that at Penang the wind was 170 at 7 knots. Airport Nav finder said that 5 minutes ago it was 300 at 6 knots METAR on the net said it was 220 at 4 knots ATIS within FSX finally announced that the surface wind at Penang was 138 at 3 knots and suggested that I use the ILS 04 approach. When I landed there was no wind at all according to the windsock. By the way one report said that at 4pm at this time of year Penang's temperature was only 15 degrees. Won't they be surprised!! It is frustrating though. What does everyone else do or use? …
